I have sensitive skin - oily too........any favorites??

Interesting responses on makeup - MAC seemed to pop up quite often - I love their eyeliner - might have to try the blush!

I think this is something where you just have to try different brands and find the one(s) that work for you.

In my twenties, one of my sisters was a rep for Christian Dior so she would always send me Dior products and I used them for years...until she quit that job. After that I changed to Estee Lauder (couldn't get Dior where I live), then to Clinique, then to Neutrogena and now I am using all L'oreal products and I'm very happy with the results. But, your skin changes as you age and you just seem to have to keep seeking out products that will work for your skin at that moment in time. And it's not necessarily about money...I have found that the most expensive products are not always what works best for you. I used the entire line of Dior but was never really satisfied but since I was getting the products for free...I didn't care. Plus your skin is more forgiving at 20 than at 30. ;-)

I just realized...are you asking about skin care lotion...or foundation/makeup? My post is strictly concerning skin care, not makeup. :)

I use the Dermadoctor line of products. I have rosacea and my skin is very sensitive. My cheeks get red and very dry and I have an oily T zone. These products have worked extremely well for me but they are quite expensive. They can be used for all skin types.

I wash my face with this:

Then I apply this gel to control oil:

Followed by this moisturizer:

after which I apply a #30 sunblock--this is the best one I've tried and it gives your face a nice matte finish:

I also use the eye cream.

These products have made a truly amazing difference in my complexion.

The dermadoctor website carries several different brands and product lines. It's one of my all time favorite websites and they have great customer service.

Paula's Choice skin care is the BEST skin care I have ever used. I have just about tried everything over from the drug stores and from the department stores. I even went to a dermotologist for long time who finally wanted to put me on Acutine, but I wouldn't do it. I have acne prone/oily skin. I now maybe get one or two small pimples...MAYBE every now and again. I can't believe how much this stuff cleared up my skin! I can't say enough about it. She has a whole line for oily or acne prone skin and a lot to read about skin care products and the ingredients that go into them.

I use Exuvience. One of my co-workers introduced me to it and I love it. I use the moisturizer for normal skin w/SPF and also their facial cleanser. I'm not crazy about their make up though. You can buy it at better department stores or I believe that they have a website.

Another HUGE Paula's Choice fan here. I have been using this line for a few years now, and have loved everything I've ever purchased. I also have somewhat sensitive skin that can be very oily at times, but, can also be dry in areas - so, a bit of a mish-mash! I use her skin balancing toner (love this stuff), BHA gel for exfoliation (love this too), the benzoil peroxide lotion (ok, a theme here - love this as well!), and a couple of moisturizers - the skin balancing antioxident serum every day, and sometimes the light moisturizer if I need a little extra. The moisturizing mask is fabulous for when you need a serious bit of TLC.

The website is chock full of fabulous information, and you can search her product line by your complexion type. I *highly* recommend this. And everything is irritant / fragrance free - it's GREAT for sensitive skin types like myself.

Check out http://www.paulaschoice.com, and click on "Shop By Skin Type" to see if you can find products that you might like.

Regarding make-up, I've been using MAC for some time now, and I'm not that crazy about it. I think the key to a make-up line is its foundation and the MAC foundation that I have looks too much like make-up.

I'm going to check out Paula's choice for skin care right now. Hope they have something for very dry non-oily skin.

I have used many different face lotions, but my favorite lotion is Olay Total Effects. I have used this for a couple of years now and always get compliments on my skin (which I never did before). I seemed to resurface my skin to a smoother texture over time. I have sensitive skin as well, and works fine if you get the fragrance free.

As far as make up goes, I LOVE Laura Mercier for foundation and concealer. Simply the best. For everything else, I use NARS or Chanel.
