I've got both. Go for Stott if you are just beginning Pilates. It seems to be a better teaching tool. The instructor talks a lot and gives you lots of cues. This would be like a class at a Pilates Studio. I found it to be a little bland for my taste.
Anna Caban on living arts does most of the very same moves. She makes them seem a little more fun. Her cueing is also good. She is more like a class I would like to take at a gym.
I use the Stott to learn, but I practice with Living Arts, just because it's "funner."
However, there is absolutely no substitute for a live human to help you with your form. I THOUGHT I was doing pretty good with my videos until I did a mat class with a real live qualified instructor in the room. When she corrected my form, ooooooweeee, what a tummy workout.
