Just wanted to bump this to the top since we still have not heard from Lisa yet! Let's hope she is delivering her little one and it is an easy delivery. Lisa let us know how you are doing when you have time!

Best wishes,

Here I am! I'm so sorry it has taken me this long to let you all know that Cole Matthew has arrived! I've been unable to log on from home, so I'm writing this from a friend's house.

Little Cole was born Sunday June 5th at 11:15 PM (I was due the 9th). He weighed 7 lb 9 oz and was 21" long. He is PERFECT! His little feet (and everything else) are just fine! A quick labor summary: Sunday morning I woke with some bloody mucous, and very sporadic menstrual-type cramps, so I told DH I thought today was the day. I had mild contractions all day but they were so wimpy I wasn't sure if this was it. Eventually I called my OB and told her they were 5 minutes apart but still wimpy, and she said to come in to the hospital to get checked. So I showered and we packed and ate a light dinner and got to the hospital at 7:30, but by then I knew it was real because I could no longer talk through the surges. I just had to breathe through them. I got checked at 8PM and was found to be 7 cm already, and in transition! I was so happy. The surges were quite intense by then and were off the charts, but thanks to Hypnobirthing, I was still just calmly breathing through them. I decided at around 8 cm to take the epidural, just because being totally comfortable was very appealing to me by then. So I got the epidural at around 9 pm and Cole was born with just a few pushes at 11:15PM! We were only at the hospital less than 4 hours! It was really perfect...all our family was there and he even nursed right away. And...I guess the rest is history- he is so cute and sweet and easy to love. He already sleeps 4-7 hrs at a time and smiles and when he wakes up he just opens his eyes and blinks and looks around- he doesn't even cry right away :) Big sister Alyssa loves him too...we're all in love! Thanks to all of you, esp Emy, for recommending Hypnobirthing- it was wonderful. And I'll hopefully be more interactive w/ my computer soon!

Lisa, mother of TWO!!

Lisa!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Your birth sounds amazingly great - how wonderful to hear that the hypnobirthing actually works!! Wow! Cole sounds very precious; please post a pic if/when you feel comfortable.

How are you feeling? Are you recovering well?
