Some people were remarking about how cute my therapy dog, Linus, is. So..I wanted to post some pics like all proud mamas should! He was in the gas room when I rescued him and his mom and siblings. He has been working with me in the schools since he was 6 weeks old. The kids love him and he feels the same. From the gas room to the school room...

Anyway, just had to brag.

I've got pics of all my pups on my Picture Trail.

Lorie - I was showing Sophie pics of your puppies and other dogs last night. She adored them all! And you have a Sadie girl! I do too! She was a rescue doggie. I'll see if I can find a picture:)

Too Cute ~ Thanks for sharing...

All my pups are rescue mutts. I absolutely adore them and love them with all my heart!!!

Linus is a special pup. He really does well with the kids. Some of my kids are very low functioining and some have physical disabilities that sometimes make it difficult to hold him gently or they may be a little rough with him (totally without meaning to be). He is SOOOOO good with them. He has never shown ANY agresion or even aggravation. He is also really in tune with the kids and will lie in their laps and lick their tears if they are crying (I;m a psychologist, I get that sometimes). When he is in a classroom, he really gravitates to the kids that "need" him the most. He is so cute in his little therapy dog vest. He walks around the school like he owns it! He has been in the newspaper, too. I have been doing this at the school for about 4 years and sometimes, we get parents writing notes to the principal asking that their child be in Linus' "class." Too cute!

Shel, I can't believe you have a Sadie girl, too!!! Definitely have to see some pics. Tell Sophie she should come to Atlanta so she can push Linus on his swing (and bring her mommy, too!).

Awww I just love Linus. I hope I get to meet him (and your other doggies too) soon. I just love the pic of him in the swing. He sounds like a very special friend. :)

Those pictures are too cute, Lorie. My favorite pix are the one in the swing and the one in the xmas outfit. You have to tell me your secret how you convinced him to wear it. I was dressing my dogs up for Halloween, Joker and Pirate. They were doing summersaults to get rid of the hats.

He sounds like a wonderful dog!!! What kind of dog is he, do you know? It is amazing that he was rescued from the gas chamber and proceeded to be such an integral part in so many kids' lives. What an inspiring story!!

You are very lucky to have gotten him, and he is a very lucky little dog to have you!!!

She's bee-yoo-ti-full!!! Maybe all Sadies are just beautiful!

I got my Sadie at about a year old and she'd just had pups. They all got adopted immediately and my Sadie girl was still there. Maggie and I picked her out. She and Maggie are BFF. I got Mags and then Sadie six months later. They have been together for almost 10 years. Awwww...

Love seeing doggie photos! Linus is adorable & sounds like a very special therapy dog... & Sadie is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing, ladies!

OK that might just be the cutest puppy I've ever seen! And the perfect size--if (or when) I get another dog I want a Linus!

I have the same question--do you know what kind of mix he is so I can keep my eye on the shelters?

Well...my best guess is that he is a poodle-terrier mix. He weighs about 16 pounds (his brother and sisters are all around 50). I am actually going to get him DNA tested to find out exactly what he is. I just need to find a vet that does it.

Funny thing is, his mom and siblings all weigh between 50-90 pounds!!! I had no idea he was going to be so small. He looked like the rest of them when he was a baby. I love him to death!!!
