AWESOME link, Trevor - thank you!! As the mother of a daughter with OCD who was misdiagnosed at first with ADHD, I can both empathize and agree!! Had I not been a medical professional who sought second opinions at the time, Nik might well be on the wrong meds right now, and not doing as well as she is. And, the article nailed it. Her "diagnosis" in second grade of ADHD was based on 15 minutes with her and less than 5 minutes with me! Needless to say, we did not return to that particular psychologist.

P.S. I am NOT saying here, anyone and everyone, that I agree all children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD/etc. are misdiagnosed, only that the label is applied too easily, and as parents you should ALWAYS seek other opinions and weigh the best options for your child, based on your gut feelings and some research of your own.
