Let's talk Perfume

I am a bit of a perfume junkie. I will never finish the perfumes that I have. My first perfume was Exclamation which I seen that they still sell! I use to really like Hypnotic Poison by Dior and recently found it for $10 and I bought it because it was a steel and found that it just didn't smell the same as the previous bottle that was $65. I have read somewhere that some perfume companies move locations and change ingredients over the years maybe using more synthetic scents.

I am currently wearing Burberry London. I love Ange Ou Demon by Givenchy; I really hated the smell from the bottle but on my skin it's magical. It was a gift for Christmas last year along with Hot Couture and Very Irresistible which are nice too.

So my question is what was the first perfume that you couldn't get enough of?

And you current favorites?

I was at Walgreens yesterday and was talking perfume. One I can't wear any more is Ciara, just too sweet. I love Ralph Lauren's Tuxedo but he no longer makes that one. Obession for Men, Obession for Women is too sweet. I do like Sunflowers and Beautiful. Currently I love Sand and Sable, I tried it for the first time when I was in college. I try and stock up on it when I see it. I put in the refrig.

There are probably a few others. I do like BB, Cocunut Lime Spray. Nice scent.

My very 1st perfume was CKone and I loved it. Now I can't smell it anymore; it makes me so nauseous.

I'm a perfume junkie too so I have about 6-7 bottles in rotation but my default scent that I've been wearing for 7 years is D&G Light Blue. It's so fresh & light, I love it!! The men's version is really nice too. I'm a sucker for some Aqua Di Jio on a guy though...;)

I love perfume! The first ones I remember wearing are Beautiful by Estee Lauder, Realities by Liz Clairborne and White Shoulders. In college I wore Amarige by Givenchy and Pleasures by Estee Lauder. Now I'm pretty much a Chanel girl-Allure, Chance, and Coco Mademoiselle. I like L'eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake, Un Bois Vanille by Serge Lutens, Calyx by Perscriptives.

Melissa, in a pinch I've been known to wear my DH's Aqua di Gio;)

I used to wear Sand and Sable years ago...I loved that stuff. Forgot all about it until now. Eternity smells great to me but DH isn't fond of it at all.

Count me with in the Need-A-12-Step-Perfume-Addiction-Program. I buy samples at Lucky Scent online, and every day I wear a different sample. LOVE to try them all!

I love perfume, but I don't know a lot about the different brands and I would never spend the money and buy any for myself. However, my aunt works for Ralph Lauren and is constantly giving me wonderful bottles of perfume for my birthday and Christmas. My absolute favorite is So De LaRente (which has been discontinued - of course!), but others she has given me that I really like are Chance (Chanel), Coco (Chanel), Giorgio Armani, Armani Diamond, Euphoria (Calvin Klein) Miracle (Lancome) and the one by Sarah Jessica Parker (I can't remember the name off hand), among others. My aunt says that she'll get me whatever kind I want if I just tell her. I would love to hear other suggestions!

I'm a bit of a fragrance junkie too. I'm very fickle. My first love was Paloma Picasso. I wore it for about two years straight. Then I had a serious affair with an Escada fragrance. The only fragrance I haven't been fickle about has been Ralph Lauren's Safari, which I hear they finally stopped making. I think I've been wearing it for about 30 years, off and on. I've had flings with a few different MAC fragrances, Obsession, Poison, DKNY Cashmere, DKNY Delicious, 212 and Ralph Lauren's Blue, among others.

I try to buy the smallest sizes possible, because they always wind up spoiling in the heat in my apartment.

I used to like Allure and Chance, but now they make me nauseous. I wonder why that happens?

Really like perfume!

One fav is Perry Ellis 360. Also Estee Lauder Pleasures and another that I can't recall the name of now.

I wear Le Cirque to work. Avon used to carry it now I have to find it on ebay. Really like the fresh, peppery like smell. I could bathe in that stuff.

Also like the Adidas for men and women.

I keep hoping someone will buy me Donna K.'s Be Delicious!

Chanel--I love them all--the perfumes, the soaps, body lotions. They are my absolute favorites. The very first perfume I fell in love with was Bal a Versailles. They don't make it anymore and I can't remember the company's name. Beautiful perfume beautiful romantic bottle.

I like Passion, its kinda old school but I like it, and so does DH. I'm not into the light, flowery perfumes, which means I normally don't wear perfume in the summer. I like the darker, heavier scents. I also like Opium and Poison. I thought I liked the way Euphoria smelled. Smelled good in the ads, good at the counter, and stank to high heaven on me!

DH wears Obession for men. Yum!! And he has some Obession Night body wash (which I think is gone) Also yum! Loves me a good smellin' man :p

My favorite scents are Chance and Fresh Chance by Chanel. I am also partial to Amazing Grace and Inner Grace by Philosophy as they have a "clean" smell that is not irritating to the patients I treat.

The only perfumes in the whole world that I can stand are Opium (I will follow strange women around who wear this one) and Estee Lauder's Cinnabar. All the other ones make me ill - I really really hate it when people wear perfume in public places or at work - I've told co-workers to please remove their perfume, even some hand lotions. I guess I have an extremely sensitive nose.

My first perfume was Liz Claiborne in the triangle bottle. My favorite is Obsession by Calvin Klein. I usually don't wear perfume at work because I work in a hospital. One of the ladies who comes to my office occasionally does and it STINKS!!! The problem is, she is one of the senior leaders so I can't exactly tell her to stop wearing it!

I use to love Anais Anais and Chloe many years ago. Will still wear Anais Anais on a rare ocassions. For the most part now I only wear Amazing Grace or Pure Grace by Philosophy because of the clean scent, just love them. The older I get the less I like anything overly flowery or spicy.

I don't wear perfume, but buy the lotion in the scent that I like. It seems to last longer, yet it isn't as strong as the perfume.

I have worn "Beautiful" by Estee Lauder for years. (I had someone tell me one time that this was an "old lady" scent. Whatever.)

I also love my "Cherry Blossom" lotion from Bath & Body Works.

I just wear deoderant. I'm not much of perfume gal. If I do it is grace by Philosophy and I do the spray and walk into the mist thing so I don't put to much. I just like to smell clean. I can't stand strong perfumes especially in a car or at the gym. It hurts my nose. :(

Happy by Clinique and Pink by Victoria's Secret...Both light but sweet...I've been told a time or two that I need a bit of sweetness in my life!
