Have any of you ever read and tried these diet (books)?

The 6 day body makeover - Michael Thurmond
Five Factor Fitness - Harley Pasternak
Bob Greenes Total Body Makeover - Bob Greene
Joe X - Avery Hunicutt
3 hour diet - Jorge Cruise
French Women Dont get Fat

I was specifically interested in the Five Factor Fitness book - 5 meals a day, 25 minutes of exercise 5 days a week..this books' premise is that you do LESS exercise and eat MORE...

I have been doing 90 minutes of exercise a day for two months and have not seen results...I only have 6-10 pounds to lose so I know that is hard to do..but come on..there is no way I am overeating..I cannot LOSE those last pounds...and I am eating clean for the most part...


Now the idea of exercising less is VERY appealing to me...I am just not sure if that will work...what do you girls think about this...can too much exercise make you fat?

any info on any of these books would be great!

It would be my guess that if you're exercising 90 minutes a day and not losing weight, you should examine your eating habits by keeping a food journal. It's possible to eat too much while "eating clean." It's important to pay attention to portion control.

As for the books you listed, I'm not familiar with them, but I'm leary about the claim about the 25 minutes of exercise. Some books that I like are "Dr. Shapiro's Picture Perfect Weight Loss," "Volumetrics," and "The Step Diet." The first two are about better food choices that will allow you to eating without going hungry, and not having to count anything. The third, in a nutshell, is all about wearing a pedometer (one of the best weight loss tools out there) and eating a little less than you normally would. You need to find a plan that will help educate you to eat better long term, even after you've lost weight.

One easy change you can make without reading a book is to increase your fiber intake. I did this and lost 14 lbs. that had been hanging on for years. It took several months, but it worked.
