Lessons learned from Dad...

...that DH hasn't quite grasped yet.

1. When it snows and you don't have anybody plow your driveway and you are too tired to snowblow it, YOU CANNOT KEEP DRIVING ON IT!!!! When you do that, you compact the snow which then turns to ice, and even when your adoring wife goes out to snowblow it, nuh-uh. Doesn't work. It's ALL ICE. So NOW your adoring wife has to go out and chip and shovel the driveway. (On the other hand, maybe DH just knew that even though the adoring wife worked shoulders 2 days ago, she really needed that extra shot of shoulder, back and core work!)

2. When it is snowing or raining and you let the long-haired dog outside and she comes back in the house all wet --- you need to wipe her down! The long-haireed dog fur sticking to the walls is really not something your adoring wife enjoys walking around cleaning up. PS --- that's WHY adoring wife keeps the rag towels by the door.

I'm sure there are more, but these are 2 that came to mind along my 200-foot long driveway today. Anyone else?

Ditto on the snow one. *rolls eyes* DH does this all.the.time. His reasoning - "I have a truck, I can drive over the snow no problem!" However, I have a Honda Civic and cannot just drive over the snow like it's a field of freshly cut grass. Doof!

How about this one?

If you go to throw something in the trash, and the trash is so full that you have to balance your piece of trash precariously on top of the other trash and the lid won't shut, then maybe it's time to take the trash out, rather than letting ME deal with the trash avalanche that occurs next time I try to put someting in the trash! x(

No snow here, thank goodness !

I always just equate my DH to my kids when it comes to doing some of the things we are left to deal with.

Though DH complains when the kids don't do the things he doesn't?

Sad thing is they just don't get it . . .;(
