Legs

I have been working out at the gym for 4 months with heavy weights and low reps. And as a result my legs have gotten bigger. Do you think it would be better to alternate heavy weights with light ones? I don't want to lose the strength my legs have gained, but I also don't want bulky legs. Can anyone recommend a few good videos that I can alternate with my gym workouts? Thanks!

Do lunges with moderate weights.

I think lunges are better than squats for the legs if you don't want them to bulk up. Do lots of reps with moderate weight. You may lose a little strength, but it shouldn't be much.

As far as tapes are concerned, it's hard to find a leg tape with lots of lunges and no squats, so I generally work legs without a tape. You might use
Cathe's PS Legs tape, but substitute more lunges instead of the squats.

If you do heavy squats, do cardio exercise afterwards, this will also keep the legs from bulking up.

Also, last but not least, be sure to control your calories.

Hi Isabel

I think the Firm tapes do lots of lunges and fewer squats. I, too, was having the same problem that you're having when i was lifting at the gym, but since I've been working with the Firm tapes and Cathe's PS SLA, I have noticed that my legs don't feel as bulky. Maybe that would help you. Good luck! I know how you feel

I forgot

As for Firm leg workouts, I think Standing Legs is very good, and I've heard that Lower Body Split is good, also. Tough Tape works the legs a lot, too. Those are the only ones I have, but they are really good.
