Leg workout question

I only had Butts and Guts and oh boy the day I had them in my rotation, I make sure I was strong. Tough workout. I did Gym Style Leg and was happy that the standing part was easier than Butts & Guts, al least if I am feeling weaker, I have another option for leg. But the floor workout seems harder in Gym Style Leg. No? What do you guys think?

Do you always do the whole DVD (for B&G and GSLeg) or do you divide them in two.

For exmaple, to not hate leg days, I am thinking of using Gym Style Like that (of course I will add some cardio but I just want to talk about GS):

Day 1 GS Chest and Triceps
Day 2 GS Leg Standing and ab section from any workout
Day 3 GS Biceps, Back and Shouldres
Day 4 GS Leg Floor and ab section from any workout

or is it better to have a full leg day

how do you guys workout legs?

Thank you

Darine,
I think you could do legs the way you have proposed.

I rarely do B&G as produced. I'm partial to the Leg Blast premix (which I think is tougher) or my own mishmoshes. My other favorite form of leg torture is LL. That one is a beast and gets me every time. For awhile, I was working legs hard - usually 2x per week plus some freestyle, and I was getting some good results that way.

Right now I am doing a circuit rotation. But I'd say it really depends on what your goals are.

It's the quality of the work out that counts. I did a short and sweet leg work out of my own making yesterday that gave me DOMS just as bad as any full length work out would have!

Sometimes I do the leg vids as produced but often times I am a premix girl or I will split a vid up into floor and standing like you have proposed. I like to work legs 2x per week and the shorter work outs lend themselves to that better.

Darine, I did GS Legs the whole way through about 2x and I just couldn't do it as is again because of the high dread factor. Then, I remember someone posted about splitting them up as you suggested and I tried it. It is much more doable and the dread factor isn't there. I am no expert, but for me splitting this workout up into standing and floor is the only way to do it.

Thank you

I think if I try hard I can do the whole thing for Butts & Guts and Leg Gym Style... but I don't want to hate my leg day. I want to be excited to workout. So I think I will do like that for both videos and the days I feel I want to kill myself to the max, I will do the full workout.

I don't mind upper body but lower body is harder for me... but the part that needs more work too

thank you for answering :)

I really only have an hour to work out. When I do Gym Style Legs, I skip the second set of calf work (otherwise, I can't walk the next day) and anything to do with the ball. I just chapter-forward through those segments. I still feel like I got a complete leg workout and it's one less piect of equipment to drag out.

When I do Butts & Guts, I just do the standing portion and one of the ab segments. I just don't care for the floor work in this one.
