leg? low ends/ pulses

Hi,

I usually lurk, but have been doing Cathe for years. I recently have been going heavy for leg work and seeing great results. I just got Butts and Gutts and was reminded again of different rep patterns. Can someone tell me the pros, cons benefits etc, to doing low ends and pulses for leg work vs doing regular continuous reps? I briefly tried to search the subject this morning, but was unsuccessful in finding any information.

Thanks,

Tracy

Hi Tracy....

I believe it is all about putting the muscles under tension in different patterns to keep them guessing. I know I've heard Cathe say in her some of her workouts "it all about the time you spend under tension"!!

Jane is right. You are actually hitting the muscle fibers in a different way when you "shake-it-up". Those pulses KILL!
