Leaner Legs

This morning I did Leaner Legs for the second time. That is one tough workout!

I did it about 3 months ago, and I must have been delusional thinking I could even come close to matching Cathe on the weight this time. I don't have a barbell (yet) so I used 2-15# dumbbells instead of the 35# barbell she uses. I used the same hand weights she uses for the other exercises. Then came the plie squats. . . . Even though I switched from 15s to 10s for the second set, I just couldn't do the last 4 low-ends.

So, I'm wondering how this one compares to Gym Style Legs from the Hardcore series. I haven't cracked that one open yet but, from the pics on the site, it looks more like PLB. I did PLB once, about the time I did Leaner Legs. The stability ball work about did me in. Do I dare try Gym Style Legs once I recover from this morning?

I'm also wondering whether Leaner Legs and PLB are more strength or endurance workouts. I think LL is endurance and PLB is strength. Can anyone tell me for sure?
 
LL is endurance. PLB can be either. Sometimes I use PLB as a strength workout, going only up or down (using the premixes) with the heaviest weights I can use, and with longer rests between sets. Sometimes I use PLB as is, but with lighter weight, which makes it more of an endurance workout. I guess you can also do all the pyramids with your heaviest weights and rest longer between sets. That'd make it more geared toward strength. Hope I didn't confuse you...
