I didn't want to hijack the elderly pets thread, so I just thought I start a new one.

You just crack me up!!!!

I bet Jake is sitting there and holding his stomach from chuckling all day, I am down from 36 pairs of shoes to 12 pairs. One of my Mini Aussies, Tuxedo, is a lot into chewing up shoes, he makes Jake look like an altar boy. He even pulled out one of my horseback riding boots (the ones that go up to your knee) and chewed it down to the ankle, how about wave 400 bucks bye-bye. I bet Jake is ROFWL and thinking there is some justice in this world }(

I am glad to hear about the chocolate because one of my other dogs got into the milk chocolate that my SIL brought from Norway - darn it - but I guess they are just watching out for me, chocolate shouldn't be on my diet

LMAO! I'm not nearly as funny as our dogs!

Cosmo had distemper when I got her from the shelter. They wanted to put her to sleep but I said no way. She recovered after about 4 months but the one lasting result was she ended up toothless. Perhaps a curse for her, but a blessing for me b/c she couldn't destroy any of my shoes.

But I remember my golden Astro--he was a major chewer & I can't tell you how many pairs of shoes, socks & undies he ate. I learned pretty quickly to keep everything bite sized at least 3 feet from the floor! }(

Yeah I'm thinking Jake is in doggy heaven giggling & thinking "and she thought I was bad............"
