Laundry question

Hi there everyone

My son is in his "everything is black" dressing stage. He is complaining that things are fading -- not black anymore. Is there any detergent out there that saves the black from turning grey?

Thanks a million

Mari

I've found that turning black jeans inside out helps as well as using any detergent that's not Tide! LOL! Don't use anything with bleach in it and generally I've found generic brands aren't as harsh. Also, it's been my experience that line drying instead of using the dryer helps.

I think the best thing to keep black clothes black is to wash in cold water. But if you have anything that is cotton, they always seem to lose some dye no matter what you do. Sythetics hold the dye much better.

yes they say cold water helps turning inside out also and no drying Cheer advertises no fading I use TIDE cuz we always have and it does fade things I am kind of a black freak too
good luck Lisa

Hello!

A good thing to do is to add vinegar to the wash water. It helps the colors not fade or "bleed" out!

It has worked for me!
