Latex or Non-latex Bands?

I ordered the 3-pack of Cathe's non-latex bands, but am about to return them. Before I do, however, I'd like to get your thoughts if you've had both kinds. I know the latex are stronger, but somehow the plastic look and feel of them bothers me. Also, there's an odor which my rubber ones never had. Anyone prefer the feel of the non-latex ones?
