I don't know if I'll change those negative comments, though. I gotta counter-balance the egotism that causes me to blog about myself all the time (though honestly I know no subject more thoroughly than myself so what else am I going to write about).

And I did defend it by saying I thought it was an undergarment problem--or as Janet Jackson might say--a "wardrobe malfunction". Not too negative to explain away weird body shape.

I think I turned a few heads just for the fact that the dress wasn't black like the dresses 90% of the women in the room (and the tuxes of 100% of the men). Of course it's easier to look svelte in black, but I prefer color. The only little black dress I own is an old maternity dress (which means it's not all that little).
I appreciate your encouragement and I'll go to my blog now and alter a few comments if it will make you happy. I am definitely my own worst critic.

OK Shelley--I updated the blog with "more positive self-talk." I think most women have the same issue (but men seem to see themselves as more attractive than they really are ).
