Has anyone had an increase in thier bust from doing chest exercises or is this just a myth? Or is thier anyway to atleast keep what I have? I noticed alot of women in fitness videos (not Cathes, but Firms, Tamilee Webb, Karen Voight, Denise Austin, Joyce Vedral, many others!) have implants now, and Im wondering if it's because the muscle just burns the layer of fat on the breasts.

I have not had an increase in bust size from exercise but I have had a big improvement in bust shape from doing chest exercises. Likewise, I haven't had a decrease in size either from doing cardio. I don't think I am the exception to the rule because my sister and several of our friends have not experienced a change either. I do know plenty of women whose bust size decreased or changed through being pregnant but I don't personally know anyone who ended up with a flat chest from running, weights, aerobics or any other kind of exercise!

I'm no expert on the subject but breasts are made up of more than just fatty tissue and it may be that the instructors you mentioned didn't get implants (to be perfectly honest I have no idea if they have or haven't had implants so I can only speak in general terms) because they had experienced a decrease in size but because they simply wanted a bigger bust!

P.S. Although when I gained weight, I gained a little in my bust, losing the weight hasn't made them smaller - just put them back to their normal size.

NO ONE has ever had an increase in the size of their bust from exercising. Unfortunately, when you lose weight & thus body fat, you are going to lose some in your bust. Just a fact of life, as bad as it sucks. Being a AA cup, this is the last place I want to lose but if I'm going to lose weight it must be accepted.

As for any of the leads you've mentioned above, we'll never know the real reason why they got implants but it was a choice they made regarding their body image, not due to exercise I'm sure. Just an assumption on my part.

No in all the 20 yrs. of weight training have I ever increased. I only increased due to my pregnancy LOL I'm now a "C" cup but I'm tight whereas before it was just flabby. I wish I could reduce these!! :7 Kathy
