Krazy Kettlebell Wednesday Check In =)

Good Morning!

Today was Resolution. I really like this workout, but it is hard getting into the swing of things so early. Another week and I should be adjusted:eek: I wanted to add on swings today, but didn't have the "umph" to do them. Also, the way this program is set up is each time you add on another round till you get to 10, then you start over again with 5 rounds, but you add on another ladder of the clean and press for the intermediate level. Since I did 9 rounds today I think I will go ahead and finish the beginer level this week:)

My final decision with all my crazy ramblings with what to do (pttp or stay with my program) I am going to stay with my program till my DS's barmitzvah on Oct. 24th, then start PTTP for 5 weeks. Whew, I feel better now that I have a definate plan. :)

Gayle: Great job on PTTP!! I love that your 1RM is 200# for the dl!! I like the pttp program from crossfit 603. I saved all the workouts and will be doing them also.

Marcy: Enjoy your new rotation.

Melissa: Glad you got a workout in! It is hard during the school year, isn't it?

waves to Jane and Rhonda!!!

Here's my workout:
Resolution II
beginner level
Goal: complete 9 rounds in 30 minutes

30 seconds rest between all rounds!
completed workout in 22.26 minutes!!:eek::)

warm up: tgu 5l/5r: 25#
c&p: 30#
pullups: as prescribed
deadlifts:
(starting with 70% of 1 rm; adding 5# each round thru round 5 as per the workout)
5@ 115#
4@ 120#
3@125#
2@ 130#
1@ 135#
1@ 135#
2@135# (not sure if typo or not, but did 2 anyway)

1@135#
1@135#

moved 9278# today in 22ish minutes! NICE!!

NOTES:
**beginner level: 9 rounds
** had 7.33 left on gymboss
** 30 seconds rest good, but barely enough time to change plates for deadlifts, drink, chalk hands before its time to start again.
**good wokrout, again hard to get adjusted to working out at 5:30 instead of 7:30, so happy with being able to keep up with my numbers from last time I did this workout.
** was going to add swings, but had no umph left! will do next workout.

thinking of not doing resolution III this week, but completing the last round of beginner level of resolution II

Have a great day everyone!!

Just posting while I am still able to; another meet today, church tonight, and trip to the library this afternoon. Busy!!! :) I am going to do a 3k, maybe more, plus some abs.

DD placed last 10th last night, which meant that her score counted!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D She was absolutely beaming when she finished - her time was 2:37 faster than any time she has every practiced... I am so proud of her!!!! DH took off work early to watch her, so he is thrilled. Her ribbon is on display in his van. :D

I do have a funny story: last night after the meet, we had to go directly to DS's soccer practice. While he was practicing, young DS (5) ran over to the woods about 100 meters away dropped his pants and peed on a tree. He was too far away for either DH or I to stop it (and thankfully for anyone to really see him), but by the time DH got to him DS yelled - for EVERYONE to hear - "I have to poop really, really badly!":eek::eek: I could have just died... I really don't raise my kids in a barn!!! I am so mortified, but not as much as DD (12). But it is funny. :p

Deanie, I am happy that I am getting used to crazy again. I always feel like autumn is super, crazy madness because of fall sports and school starting at the exact same time, but I am getting used to the insanity. I didn't go into this season with a very disciplined mind or plan, and it really screwed me up. Thankfully it's never too late to change anything. How is your first week back going so far?

See you guys later - have an awesome day everyone!

Hello Ladies!

Deanie - Great workout! That's a lot of work in 22 minutes. I'm glad you came up with a plan.

Melissa - Congrats to DD!!!! Give her some ^^^'5s from me! :D LOL about your DS(5)!! Don't feel bad, my DH(40!) seems to prefer peeing in the woods than finding a bathroom somewhere. I'm glad you were able to get your workout in yesterday and get your bathroom painted...busy woman!

Marcy - Amazing yoga practice yesterday! I'm in awe of that backbend to a walkover!! I'll get some pictures tonight of that room. I might be able to start priming it this weekend.

Jane - I hope you get your run in. Stay away rain!!

Waves to Rhonda!!

Today is a rest day. Last night I did PTTP and some OHS:

Buy-in:
Lots of limbering up - WGS, dislocates, air squats, dowel OHS...

WOD:
PTTP

DL warm up 90x10
Set 1 - 125x5
Set 2 - 115x5

Press
Set 1 - 40x5
Set 2- 30x5

Then OHS practice 5-5-5-5-5-5-5

35-35-45-45-50-50 (fail on 5)-50

Strong sets overall. Maintained a 5 second hold on the last reps for all except set 6, which was a complete loss of concentration.

Hi Everyone!

I managed to get a run in yesterday. It was hot and humid but the rain held off until I was finished.

Tonight I'm doing this workout.

The Diabolical Dirty Dozen
Warm-Up - 150 Jump Rope

Workout
12 reps of each - Max # of rounds in 35 minutes

1-arm kettlebell sit ups (6 each side)
Kettlebell Push Press (6 each side)
Kettlebell Swing and Squat
Renegade Manmakers (for Gayle :p)
Jump Squats

Deanie ~ Congrats on getting your program together. It sounds great!

Gayle ~ Enjoy your rest day!

Melissa ~ Give your DD a high five from me! That's fantastic! LOL regarding your DS. I used to workout with a friend in a park and she was constantly peeing in the bushes. I had to be the lookout. That's definitely not my thing!

Waves hello to Rhonda and Marcy

Hi everyone. We had open house last night and i didn't get home until 9. I must have really needed wind down time because I woke up feeling exhausted. As such, I only did a segment of CS. I may do KB or KM tonight.

Deanie- That was a rocking workout. Way to go! Your plan sounds good.

Melissa- Squeeze DD's cheeks and give her a kiss on the forehead and tell her I said WTG. Maybe I can send you some fig leaves for DS since it sounds like he is trying to be one with nature. Your paint color does sound a little unsavory :p.

Gayle- WTG last night. Enjoy your rest day.

Jane- Glad you were able to beat the rain. As much as it rains there it should be lush and beautiful.

Marcy- Thanks. I am going to keep practicing BM2 ( that sounds gross abbreviated) until I get it down. WTG on the handstands. I ordered Shock Cardio.

I did 30 Day Shred Level 1 this morning. I guess this one was easier but I know I used heavier weights than they do in the video so this can be made more advanced:

Pushups - 18 first round, 12 second round
Squat and Press - 10# both rounds
Jumping Jacks
Jump Rope
Crunch
Hip lifts
Bent Over Dumbbell Row - 12# 1st round, 10# 2nd round
Lunge with Bicep Curl - 12# both rounds
Butt Kickers
Boxing
Cross-body Crunch
Supine Flyes or on bench - 12# both rounds
Anterior raise and side lunge - 10# 1st round, 8# 2nd round
Butt Kickers
Jump Rope
Boxing
Bicycle Kicks

Then I did Squeeze Lower Body Challenge. Not as crazy about this one as my other barre workouts. It's all standing and very quad-intensive. Used 12# for deadlift warmup (these are done at lightning speed). There are about 3 rounds of rear lunges - 2 without weights and 1 with 5# weights and you go up into a knee lift. The around the world series at the barre was my favorite section - more like traditional barre work.

Jane - Hate the 150 jumpropes but like the rest of your workout! Glad you got your run in. It seems to be cooling off here the past few days. Didn't even hit 80 today.

Melissa - LOL about your DS! Out of the mouths of babes! Congratulations to your DD!:p

Gayle - Thanks! Still wish I had time for daily yoga to do all the poses I would like. I guess that will have to wait for my retirement years! Great workout! Enjoy the rest of your rest day!

Deanie - Sounds like a good plan! I'm sure you'll be adjusted by next week. Even when I'm off, I still wind up getting up the same time anyway to work out. But I guess when you're off for a couple of months at a time, you become a lady of leisure!

Waves to Rhonda!

Marcy

Marcy - I'm glad it's cooling off up there. We're in the 80's today because it's cloudy but the humidity is 74%. Yikes...I'm going to be dripping tonight.

Rhonda - We've been in a drought for the last several years so the rain is good but I prefer heat and sun. The good thing is that I never had to water my plants or pull out the sprinkler this year.
