KPC Combo #3 (CURSE YOU, COMBINATION #3!!!)

Ok, Ok...after everyone's advice on this wretched combination and how I should just suck it up and quit whining - I did just that last night. I still hate it...but last night I kept the one bit of advice about thinking of it as eating my veggies. So, since I like my veggies I kept saying the mantra, "I'm eating my fish. I'm eating my fish." And the next thing you know...I finished my fish and didn't gag it back up and spit it in the garbage disposal!

I bet the mantra was more like

Im eating my ********* fish, Im eating my ******** fish

good job Donna :D i get my dvd today and i will be thinking of fish now during the 3rd combo (if i make it that far!) Did you do the whole thing the first time you tried it?

I have to admit here that I modify most of the combinations. My poor knees just can't take jump kicks and things like that and I know that when doing them fast in a combination that I will twist or turn the wrong way for sure. That being said, even with modifications, this workout KILLS me! I feel your pain!

PS: Very good analogy to eating your veggies. :)
 
LOL Donna! Now I'm really dreading this combo--I think I'm gonna try it again tomorrow morning if I'm not too hungover. I have a stupid budget meeting at 9:00 so a 7:00 workout might be out of the question, depending on what I end up doing tonight.....;-)

But I will definitely do that combo 3 by Monday morning & let you know how I make out, if I'm still standing LOL.
 
Hey Jes. Actually, the first time I did KPC was with FitTV, so I did as much as was on there. I haven't actually gotten all the way through the whole thing yet without either taking a little break or blowing off half of combo #3. Last night I only did the warm-up, kick/punch combos and abs because I did PUB and will be out of town for the next couple days and won't be able to do the rest of the cardio workouts of the week's rotation.

When I try to do this monster the whole way through, I usually end up being so tired by the middle of combination #3 that I can't concentrate anymore and don't remember which leg I'm supposed to be jump-kicking with. I always mess up when I get to jump-kicking on the right side. Last night I was able to concentrate, but even the last time I only did the kick/punch combos I wasn't able to do combo #3 without wanting to gag it up and spit it in the garbage disposal.

If you make it through the whole way through with no problems, do me a favor and don't let me know. :D
 
Donna...ROFL!!! You know, of course, I will never be able to do that combo again without thinking of ~yuck~ fish!x(
