KPC and Stability Ball

Good Morning everyone! Just got finished doing the KPC, but I forgot about the stability ball at the end. I could not keep that ball still, it was running away from me....literally! I know I looked hilarious, but the ball won't keep still for me. I kept falling off of it. LOL! How in the world does Cathe do that one???? I must just be very uncoordinated or something.

Practice, practice, practice. A lot of the stability to keep the ball in place comes from the core (the abs, lower back, spinal erectors, and even the shoulder girdle). But, luckily, the mere attempt to keep the ball in place effectively helps work the core.

You might want to do this part of the workout earlier on (after a warm-up) when you are fresh, then those core muscles will be less fatigued (especially the shoulder girdle).

Yup, it's just practice and focus. You'll get it after a few trials. I think I got it on my 3rd or 4th time. It's also better now that I replaced my 55cm ball with a 65cm.

And here is something else I've found that helps A LOT with stability. Katami. If you have seen the infomercial you know what I mean. See if you can find someone who has the Katami bar and do some of these workouts. I am amazed at how much more core stability I gained since using the bar and how I've seen the results in my Cathe segments.

I also heard that letting a little air out helps, as more of the ball is touching the floor!!!

so mine is half full ...LOL not really but I have thought about it!!! ;)

Hi,

I did KPC this morning as well. The ball is kinda tricky isn't it?? She makes everything seem so easy....Not fair. Can't imagine having to do it in front of a class. You are not alone!!!

Let keep practicing,
Celina:)
