KK's Oct check-in

Good morning,
Today was Jari Love's GR1000 (most of). I ran out of time to finish as DH's schedule is where he leaves the house a little later than before, so I let him watch the news for a little longer before starting my workout. Golf class last night was good too. Have celebration on Saturday to get ready for tonite. Cleaning and some cooking tonite, but mostly cleaning. My favorite...

Rhea, sorry to hear about your back being tweaked. I'm sure hoping that the bed will help you out.

Karen, good workouts for you, goodness Bootcamp and CTX! Way to go. Hope you start seeing results soon.

See you all on Monday,

Jeanette

Good morning!

Hmm, nothing to report since I haven't worked out for a while. I think I might try and do a little something this afternoon. Just something lower body. Tomorrow I have a sewing class in Reno, so I'll be busy driving, shopping and sewing. DH has homework to do so I think he will be staying home.

Well, I had better run off to the jail and get that over with.....

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Evening!:)

I really should try to log on earlier on Friday, I think. It was the Scrambled Cardio premix from Drill Max -- good workout.

Today had to replace a headlight on my car that was cracked on the trip -- so got that done and some other work, as well.

Jeanette -- Great on your workouts -- have fun cleaning and cooking tonight -- makes me homesick thinking about it, actually. Have a terrific weekend.

Rhea -- Have fun on your sewing class and driving tomrrow -- and you, too have a terrific weekend.

Tomorrow the plan is some sort of circuit workout but I don't know which one yet. And tonight I plan on a bit more cardio since the weight is slowly coming down with this plan.:)

Have a terrific weekend.:7

Good Evening!:)

Time to figure out the rotation for the week ahead. Looks like we'll be having our new DVD's soon, huh? Let's see -- Saturday was a premix from SJP -- but the premixes don't work well on this tiny little DVD player that I have here -- so I'll try another one next time.

Let's see -- here's the plan for the week ahead:

Mon: IMAX2

Tues: ME -- full thing or the TimeSaver premix

Wed: 30 minute cardio and then a Cathe Stretch

Thurs: Bootcamp

Fri: IMAX3 -- perhaps only 8 intervals

Sat: Cardio & Weights

Sun: Off

Am finding that the extra cardio I'm doing in the evening is helping with the weight -- at least it appears that it is -- I'm also having to really watch what I eat.

Well, my car also died on Saturday -- it's in the shop right now -- and so I'm hoofing it everywhere until it's fixed -- but it's been oh, so beautiful here lately. Not too hot -- not cold at all -- just beautiful.

Have a super day everyone!:7

Good morning,
Today was Slim Series Tone It Up. Hoping that I get the new DVD's to start a heavier rotation next week. Plan on stacking wood after work if the weather allows. Got in a good bike ride yesterday, 42 miles with 2 other riders. Good ride and a beautiful day. Also hit some golf balls at the range. The BBQ was really nice on Saturday. Think both DS's were pleased. Still have a little tri-tip left so DH will have to eat tri-tip sandwiches this week.

Karen, sorry about your car trouble. Hope it doesn't cost too much. Glad the extra cardio is helping out. I'm hoping that stacking wood tonite helps too. Think we will be wood cutting on Saturday, not much time left to prepare for winter.

Rhea, enjoy the sewing class. What are you sewing? Hope you are feeling better and can start some workouts soon.

Jeanette

Good morning!

Sewing class was so much fun. I was the only one, so it was one on one. It was to learn the long-arm quilting machine. That's what you use when you have a big quilt top to "sandwich" with the backing and the stuffing part. The machine moves up and down and that is how you get the patterns in that you see in various quilts.

oops, got to run to court, I'll be back...

Okay, I'm back..

Started back on the workouts. Started off with the FitPrime stuff, good choice as I am actually sore in my core today. All I did yesterday was the Floor Burn workout. I really like that one because you don't even have to wear sneakers. The yoga/pilates gets you pretty good, at least when you haven't worked out for a while. Today I will do the Crunch Time, only about 40 minutes. I think I will rotate these two this week with maybe a Christi Taylor cardio thrown in for some more cardio. Back is good, so far. So I'm taking it extra slowly so that it does not go out again.

Talk to you later!

Good Evening!:)

Let's see, it was IMAX2 today -- full thing -- good workout. I'm about ready to do another workout tonight, but my AC is out and I don't think I want to work out in Florida heat and humidity. Hmmmm... Tomorrow I plan ME.

Jeanette -- Great on keeping with the Slim Series -- I'm really looking forward to the workouts, as well. They'll go to my home of course, but I know my DH will send them along. Wow! 42 miles -- and beautiful scenery -- sounds like a great workout just doing that. Glad that the BBQ was good. Always nice -- and BBQ sandwiches sound great to me!

Rhea -- Welcome back! (Not that you were ever gone, but welcome back anyway.) That sewing class sounds like fun -- particularly one on one. And FitPrimes sound really good to start back. Yeah, I agree with you on keeping hte back in good shape. And great that your core is sore.

Picked up the car today -- it wasn't too expensive -- was exactly what I thought it would be -- but it's good to be more mobile again.

Well, have a terrific day tomorrow and some great workouts!:7

Morning,
Today was CTX Power Circuit (cardio only), then switched to Christi Taylor Totally Hot Cardio (Hi-Lo). Golf class after work.

Karen, glad you got the car back. I have a dent in the side of my Jeep that I've had for over a year now. I just hate to be without my car so have put it off. Hope the AC is repaired now.

Rhea, have fun with the sewing.

Jeanette

Good morning!

Yep, did Crunch Time yesterday. I know I've done it before, but haven't for such a long time that it seemed liked a new workout. I guess that is an advantage when you have so many darn workouts. My shoulders/back of them, are a bit sore today, so I'm going to be extra careful. Core is still sore. I think it will be all week. I don't mind, it reminds me that I really did workout!

I'm going to try and get in Floor Burn again today. A bit more emphasis on the lower body and not so much the shoulders/back.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Evening!:)

Actually was up a little late last night handling the air conditioner and then today was busy with work and so I didn't actually workout today. Hopefully this will be my weekly day off -- instead of Sunday -- so am hoping to do ME tomorrow.

Am tired today as I was up late last night.

Jeanette -- yeah, I hate being without the car, too -- I just didn't have a choice -- with the timing belt -- it either gets fixed or else... Power CTX, huh? I'm really loving the CTX series at night -- just do the cardio, but I sure love it.

Rhea -- that's great about Crunch Time -- I like that workout, too -- don't have the Floor Burn -- but am so glad that it's going well for you! Still think you're wise to take it easy.

Can you believe I'm still looking for good workout shoes? After trying so many different brands, I'll probably get another pair of what I have - Ryka Intensity XT3 -- I've now tried a bunch of other brands, but I think I'll stick with the Ryka's -- no injuries with the Ryka's and the knee problem that I had kick in when I was wearing another brand -- went away with the Ryka's. Thank goodness that Zappos doesn't charge for delivery service.

Well, have a terrific day tomorrow! And wonderful workouts!:7

Good morning,
Today was B&G floor only and abs/core. Tonite will be wood stacking if I don't procrastinate too long. Golf last night was fun, but got cold.

Karen, hope you find the perfect shoe for you. So important to get something that fits well and is comfortable. Is your daughter still working out too? How is the writing going? Timing belts, yes, car won't run without it I guess.

Good workouts to all,

Jeantte

Good Evening!:)

Jeanette -- so glad that golf was great! Wood stacking -- ugh! Sounds like a lot of work. But I know you're up for it.

Weight is gradually coming down, but boy, I'm really having to work at it. Yeah, I've really been having trouble finding that right shoe. Like I said, I guess I'll just continue on with Ryka's.

Today was ME, the full thing and tonight it was the cardio from CTX All Step -- seem to need that extra cardio to really lose the weight nowadays, sad to say.

Rhea -- how are your workouts going?

Well, have a terrific day and some wonderful workouts!:7

Good morning,
CTX All Step and 3 combos plus from Christi Taylor's Solid Gold Step. Have golf class tonite too. Didn't get any wood stacked after work as I went to visit with my parents and grandma for a bit. Did winterize the camp trailer so that's done now.

Karen, sorry you are having to do longer workouts in a day. Know you only like around an hour like I do. Maybe the more fit we are, the harder it is to burn the calories? Takes longer and longer workouts? I'm hoping not to have to go there but may have to some day too.

Have a great day today,

Jeanette

Good morning!

Two workouts a day Karen? I know that would probably help me, but no time, especially for the next few weeks.

BTW, I may not be posting a whole lot in the next few weeks. I have two trials and the regular court calendar to stay caught up with, well, and some special stuff going on, like the Juvenile Justice program at the high school. So, I'm going to be a teeny bit busy.

No workout for me yesterday. I had to help out at DH's school serving spaghetti for the fundraiser. Plenty of exercise in the cleanup portion! Today, I'm not sure what the workout will be, I'm thinking a cardio of some sort. I'll have to see what type of energy I have later on, I didn't get my full nights sleep for some reason, (too much sugar, caffeine, something kept me waking up) So I'm a bit tired today too....

Well, I had better get to work. I've got to run out to the prison to interview a witness for my trial. Talk to y'all later.

Good Evening!:)

Today was the first cardio part of BMax2 -- I may do the rest of the workout tomorrow -- I need to do a sort of circuit workout and I've never done the entire section of BMax2 -- it might be just slightly over an hour -- but am seriously considering doing it. We'll see.

Yes, I've had to up my workouts -- so I also did CTX All Step (cardio only) -- later in the evening. No extra workout for me tonight, however. I've gotten home a little too late to get one in.

Jeanette -- Am glad you were able to spend time with your parents and grandmother last night -- as well as winerize the camp trailer. Sounds like you got alot done -- and hope the golf class tonight was great!

Rhea -- does sound like you're really busy. Sure do understand that. Check in when you can to let us know how you're doing. Sorry, too, that you were tired today -- makes it all the harder when one is busy.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get a care package from home that has my writing laptop in it -- I use a different and much older laptop to actually write on. Need to really get started on the next book -- sure am enjoying the research however.

Well, I'm quite homesick, but hope that you all are doing great. It's so nice to come here and see your posts. I'll wish you both a great weekend cause usually on Friday, I post so late.

So happy workouts everyone and have a terrific weekend.:7

Good morning,
Today was Pyramid Upper Body Up Only Premix. Grocery shopping and wood stacking after work if weather okay. Golf class was fun last night. I'm having such a good time with it. Next week looks like good weather so will make it even more enjoyable, though last night wasn't bad. Only a couple more weeks until the time change.

Rhea, check in when you can. You are super duper busy. Glad you can keep up your workouts.

Karen, hoping you get that care package today. Crossing my fingers for you! Sorry you are homesick, I know I would be terribly. Hope the days fly by until you can go home. Did you tackle the BM2 workout?

Hope your weekends go well, we are woodcutting on Saturday and then a Fall Color Ride bike ride on Sunday for me.

Jeanette

Hi Afternoon!:)

Am checking in early today to see if I can catch you before the weekend. Love those Pyramids -- I'm going to have to add them again to my workouts. I forget about these other workouts sometimes -- get so involved in the other things that I'm doing. It was Bootcamp for me today. How I love that workout!

Jeanette, that's so cool that you are enjoying the golf class so much. Is is really only a couple more weeks until the time change? Goodness gracious! How the time is flying.

Woodcutting really does sound like a lot of work -- have fun, though -- if you're doing it with your hubby, it could be fun -- and a Fall Color Ride sounds so beautiful. Have fun, Jeanette!

And Rhea -- have a great weekend. Yes, and check in when you can.

Have a super weekend.

Good Evening!:)

What is it with me and spiders? Have been bit by one again -- this time a brown recluse, I think -- in my sleep of all things -- and on the lip this time. Anyway, no workout for me today -- is my day off, but I also spent the day sleeping...

Hopefully all will be well tomorrow and I'll be up to working out again -- did IMAX2 blasts and warm up and cool down on Sat. -- with the warm up and cool down and stretch, it's only about 10-15 minutes shorter than the full thing. Interesting. I thought it would be a lot shorter.

Hope you all had a terrific weekend -- better than my spider-bitten one...

Okay, so it's Sunday and I almost always look ahead to see what I might do this coming week.

Here's the plan so far -- assuming that I'm back to normal tomorrow.

Mon: Drill Max -- scrambled cardio

Tues: Supersets -- haven't done this one in a while and I like it

Wed: CTX cardio and stretch

Thurs: SJP -- probably a premix as the full thing is long

Fri: IMAX3

Sat: HSC -- another premix as the full thing is long

Sun: Off

If, however, I'm not feeling up to the intense workouts, I plan a lower intensity workout schedule, which would be:

Mon: The FIRM Cardio Sculpt Blaster with Lisa Kay
Tues: The FIRM Super Cardio Sculpt with Nancy Tucker
Wed: CTX cardio & stretch
Thurs: The FIRM Body Sculpt Blaster with Nancy Tucker
Fri: The FIRM Calorie Killer with Nancy Tucker
Sat: CTX Kickbox
Sun: Off

These are the only lower intensity workouts that I have here with me. So I'll just make use of them if I'm not quite up to all the intensity.

Looking forward to hearing about your weekend -- did you do a bike ride?

And how about your weekend, Rhea?

Well, have a happy Monday and some terrific workouts!:7

Good morning,
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was busy, woodcutting on Saturday, bike ride on Sunday. Beautiful ride with 8 of us in attendance. Today's workout was the step and weights circuit premix from SJP. Love the music in that one. I should get my new Cathe DVD's tomorrow. Am working 1/2 a day this morning and playing golf this afternoon and doing some errands afterwards.

Karen, oh my, not another spider bite!!! Aren't the brown recluse bites the ones that have major tissue damage? Maybe I've watched too many Discovery shows but I remember seeing nasty, nasty pictures of the bites. Certainly hope that is not the case for you!!!! How did you like doing the Imax2 blasts? I enjoy that one.

Got to run,

Jeanette
