KK's Oct check-in

Good Evening!:)

Yep,me too. Can hardly believe it's October. Where in the world does the time go?

Rhea -- yoga does sound wonderful -- wish I were more flexible -- love hearing about all the yoga that people are doing -- all that stretching is bound to help, I would think.

Well, here in Florida, there's not a smell of autumn in the air, but it isn't quite so hot as it was and there seems to be a delightful breeze.

Jeanette -- bet your time with your DS was great -- did you see Cass,as well? Woodcutting -- ugh! Did you go any place special to do the cutting? Actually, I know very little about the Iroquis, which is why I find the whole thing fascinating. Can't wait to delve into the research.

Rhea, yes, I bet your workplace is stressful -- especially in the field that you are in.

Let's see -- it was IMAX1 for me today -- the full thing -- pretty intense -- had me sweating a lot, but that's okay, I still have those 3 pounds to lose that went on literally overnight. How come they go on so easy and come off so hard?

Taxes are moving along -- hopefully I'll have them done in the new few days -- I guess I've gotten into getting them done so much in October that when April rolls around, I'm like -- but didn't I just do them?...

Well, have a super day and some fantastic workouts!:7

Morning,
It was Lowmax intervals 4-7 for me this morning. I have golf class tonite. Played yesterday with the prison priest. I definitely was not consistent in anything, but the putting wasn't too bad.

Rhea, glad you are feeling better. Yes, winter is coming soon, but enjoy today as it's supposed to be in the 70's. We got some nice mahogany off of Rice Canyon Rd. Boy is that stuff hot and heavy! Will be nice for an overnighter. I went to Golf Headquarters in Reno on Saturday and got a set of Lady Sharks. DS bought me a nice push cart and some accessories. On Sunday night, I got on the Golf Headquarters website and saw where the price for my set was $50 less than what I paid. I emailed them and yesterday had an email and a voice mail saying that they will refund me the overage, plus send me a gift card for my inconvenience. Better than a poke in the eye, I'd say.

Karen, I didn't get to visit with Cass on Saturday as she was out running around with her Mom. Big horse show in Reno that day so they were both attending that. Glad you are making progress on the taxes. I think writing your new book will be exciting for you. How's your class going?

Got to run,

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Taxes are all done -- just a few minor things to do and I will ship them off to our accountant tomorrow -- yea!

Let's see -- it was Power Hour for me today -- that's quite a good workout that doesn't see as much written on it, I think -- it's quite challenging. Anyway, it was good.

LowMax intervals sound fun, too. Wow! That's great that the company is going to reimburse you the $50.00 plus a free gift. Way to go, Jeanette. And what a sweet DH to buy the clubs.

Rhea -- hope you are doing well with the yoga -- and hope that your tummy is not giving you any grief.

Tomorrow is a cardio and stretch for me -- I always look forward to that day.

The course is going great, but I have taken a few days off to get these taxes done and sent. October 15th is so drawing close...

You know what's hard about being away from home? Not only do I miss my DH, but I miss all my animals -- very much. I saw a cat today on the street and wanted to bring it home with me.

Am starting the research for the next book -- and can't wait to really get into it. Have a great day tomorrow and some terrific workouts!:7

Good morning,
Today was Ripped To The Core. Last night's golf class went well. I'm enjoying it and the weather was enjoyable. I would have liked to ride my bike after work today, but DH and I are going to visit a friend that just had shoulder surgery recently.

Karen, know how it is to miss the pets. Ours are like family. Glad you are excited about the new book. Have any ideas for the plot yet?

Rhea, hope you are doing okay. Know you are busy.

Jeanette

Good Afternoon!:)

Am logging on a little early today as I'm trying to get to bed a little earlier each night.

Let's see -- today was CTX 10-10-10 and then stretch #3 for me. I really like that stretch with a band. Good workout. I might try to do a little more exercise tonight -- we'll see. This weight isn't coming off and so I'm thinking about just adding a little more cardio into my day -- we'll see if I have the time.

Hope your friend is good, Jeanette -- so nice of you to go and visit -- something people sometimes don't have the time to do. Am so glad you were able to do it.

Rhea -- hope that yoga is going well. And that you are doing well.

Yes, I really miss the pets. And as to the plot, I have somewhat of an idea where it's going cause I had to write a synopsis in order to sell it. But these things always change as you get more info and really get into the book. :)

Anyway, have a terrific day and some good golf or bike rides or stretching. :7

Good afternoon!

Well, ran home at lunch on Monday and did Totally Hot Cardio. Woke up Tues morning with a sore back again, so I guess I wasn't ready for working out yet. I might try to do Butts and Gutts this afternoon, I'm feeling very Pilsbury Doughboyish and want to do something. I suppose I could stick to yoga, but I haven't even done that lately! Yikes.

Glad to see that y'all are keeping up with the workouts and are doing well health wise! I'll talk to you later.

Good morning,
Today was LIC Cardio Only Timesaver Premix. Then added on one combo from Christi Taylor Totally Hot Step. All I had time for. Tonite is golf class. Looks like we may get some weather late tonite/tomorrow.

Am going to watch my salt intake as I'm feeling very puffy today.

Rhea, good to hear you on here. I need to make the time and put some yoga into my workouts. I have to watch my grandma this weekend. I should have more time over there so maybe I'll pop in a DVD while watching her.

Karen, hope your class is going well. Got those taxes done yet? I'm doing less cardio now that I've got golf class, not seeing any good changes yet. I'm going to cut back on the salt and see if it helps. Was bad and had some pork rinds with DH last night. They were very salty. Yuk..

Got to run,

Jeanette

Good morning!

No yoga for me yet, but I did do some of Butts and Guts yesterday. I did the warm up and most of the standing leg work, a tiny bit of the stability abs and the stretch. I skipped anything that used the upper body too much, like those hammer thrusts (ooh, great sacrifice for me since I really don't like those anyway!!LOL) Not sure what will be in store for today, maybe a TLT workout or a Fitprime type of circuit...the flex one comes to mind....can't remember what it is called though.

Well, have a great day everyone!

Good Afternoon!:)

Today's workout was Circuit Max -- a workout I don't do often -- maybe cause they are VHS or something. That's another great workout. Tomorrow I plan IMAX2 -- love that workout.

Great to see you again, Rhea -- and great to see that you're trying to keep in the workouts, but I think you're right on keeping it simple and letting the back recover. Sometimes it takes a while for these muscles to "get over it." Or it seems like that to me. Butts and Guts sounds like a good workout -- working all the lower body. Have a great workout later today.

And Jeanette, your workouts seem really, really good. I ran across one thing I was reading that had to do with water retention and the nutrition cause of it -- and made a note in my mind to remember it in case you ever had trouble with it in the future, and now I can't remember what it was. I'll give it a little while -- sometimes it takes me a while to recall these things.

A few things I recall is that parsley helps with water retention but I just can't seem to recall the other thing that I read.

Have fun with your grandmother this weekend. Do you ever ask her about her childhood and her memories? I bet she has many a story.

Well, I've dropped a few of those pounds that went on over night -- but I have a couple more to go -- amazing how easy they go on and come off so hard. Oh, yes, and the taxes are done and are on their way to our accountant -- cost me an arm and a let to send them via UPS, though... But yea! They are done!

Am at the library right now trying to get some research books -- but that's kind of fun.

Well, have a great rest of the day and some terrific workouts!

Good morning,
Today was Tone It Up. Had golf class last night and it was fun. May be staying overnight tonight at my parents to watch my grandmother this weekend. Will talk to you all on Monday.

Karen, what a great feeling to get those taxes done, huh? Glad you were able to get those couple pounds off. Hate the water weight. Had gotten away from weighing daily, but think I need to as that keeps me in line. Have fun researching!

Rhea, take it easy still on the back. Thanks for reminding me about my TLT's. May use them next week. Guess the new DVD's will be shipped in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to them.

Have a great weekend everyone, will be a long one for me as we have Monday off for Columbus Day too.

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Sounds like you have a good weekend ahead of you, Jeanette. Hope you enjoy staying with your grandmother. It is so very, very good of you to do that. Another thing I so admire about you. So glad you enjoyed your golf class.

I didn't know that the new DVD's will be shipping in a couple of weeks -- I need to stay up to date on these things -- can't wait for them.

It was IMAX2 for me today, and I'm planning either Bootcamp or some other circuit type workout tomorrow -- and then taking Sunday as a rest day.

Yeah, I know I need to weigh myself pretty much daily to keep myself in line, as well.

Hope all is well with you, Rhea -- and hope you have a terrific weekend.

Well, it's research for me and then in addition to the class, I must get started early on the new book. I don't have as much time as usual to write this one, so I can't wait until the last minute like I usually do.

Well, have a terrific weekend!:7

Good Evening!:)

Well, it's Sunday evening and it's time to sort of look at the week ahead. As it turns out, I did Cardio and Weights on Sat and then today was my day off.

Jeanette -- how was your weekend? Did you have a good time with your grandmother?

And Rhea -- how are you doing nowadays?

Okay, so here's the plan for next week:

Mon: IMAX3 -- 4" step

Tues: Muscle Max -- either the TimeSaver premix or the whole thing

Wed: Cardio & Stretch -- not sure of the cardio just yet

Thurs: HSC -- premix

Fri: Drill Max -- cardio/anaerobics premix

Sat: SJP -- premix

Sun: Off

Well, at least it's a plan. Boy, am I having trouble getting new sneakers for exercise. Have trouble with my right foot's toes -- that toe area has to have a good amount of room -- but so far, the size up is too big and my own size isn't good enough. I think Zappos must be tired to me by now.

Have a great day and terrific workouts!:7

Good Morning!:)

Believe it or not I'm checking in early today. : )

Let's see, it was IMAX3 for me today -- 9 intervals -- skipped interval #7, as I find that one to be the most difficult -- but it was a great workout without that one interval. ;)

Love interval 10 on IMAX3 for some reason -- always enjoy that one.

Jeanette -- hope your weekend was great and that you're back to work and back to your routine of golfing and bike riding. Are you going golfing this week?

Rhea -- hope you are doing great! How's the back? And how's the eating going?

My weight bopped up a bit -- about 2 pounds and again overnight -- I so hate that -- so I'm really watching it now -- trying to get it back down.

Well, have a super day, everyone! And some terrific workouts!:7

Good morning,
Had a nice 3 day weekend. Spent Friday evening thru Sunday evening caring for my Grandmother. It was a nice time and I also got to get out a couple times for some bike riding and golf. Yesterday was a day out with DH and another couple for a 4-wheeler riding. Yesterday grandson got the end of his finger pinched off with a rope in a horse accident. He had surgery last night and is doing fine.

This morning was the Blasts Only premix from Imax2 then a couple combos from Christi Taylor's Step Heaven to round out the 60 minutes.

Karen, I'm sure the weight is water retention and you will get it off quickly. Imax3 sounded like it was a great workout for you.

Rhea, hope you are doing okay.

Jeanette

Good Afternoon!:)

Sounds like you had a good weekend, overall. Sorry about your grandson's accident -- but am glad it was only a bit of a finger and not anything more vital. And am glad he's doing well.

Have never done the blasts only on IMAX2 -- but I bet they're good. IMAX3 is a good workout, but I only do it on a 4" step -- there's so much jumping up and down on the step, that I find the 6" step is just a little beyond me. But it's a good workout -- and again, my favorite interval is #10.

It was the TimeSaver workout today from Muscle Max -- it's still 56 minutes long, but I think Muscle Max is about 70 minutes or more all total and so the TimeSaver is the one that I do most often.

Things are going well here -- I'm settling in at last and am getting my attention where it needs to be so that I can get done what I need to get done and get home.:7

Rhea -- hope you're doing well -- am sure you're swamped with work and all -- but hope everything is okay.

The library here is really a good one and I got about 50 or more library books for research -- It's great!

Well, have a super rest of the day and some terrific workouts!:7

Morning,
Today was Slim Series Mix It Up. Have golf class tonite after work.

Karen, wow 50 books! I remember when we were kids we could only have a max of like 5 or something. Imax2 blasts only is really good, gives you enough recovery time inbetween and before you know it, you are done. Glad you are settling in. Will you be home for Thanksgiving? Was looking at the calendar and our family has a bunch of family holiday events coming up.

Got to run,

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Did actually two workouts today. CTX Power Circuit -- cardio only and then a stretch this morning and then the same thing tonight -- the weight is coming off with difficulty -- and so I've decided to add some cardio at night and see if it makes a difference -- at least I'll add it in when I can.

Slim series, huh? Sounds really good. I'll be glad to get Cathe's new workouts, but in the meantime, susre am enjoying the ones I have -- I'll have to try the IMAX2 blast when I don't have much time.

I'll probably be here Thanksgiving, I'm afraid.:-( I'll miss being home, that's for certain. Deep sigh...

The library here is really great -- not only do I have the 50 books, but I have them for an entire month. Wow!

How was your golf class tonight? Hope it was fun.

Rhea -- you must be working away like mad. Check in when you can.

Well, have some terrific workouts, everyone and a really super day!:7

Good morning,
Today was about 35 minutes of Cardio Fusion, then switched to Christi Taylor's Totally Hot Cardio for the rest of the time to make 60 minutes. Fun workout today and lots of energy. Had golf class last night. Had lots of fun at it, though it got dark on us by 7:00 and couldn't hardly see where I'd hit the ball. Also got chilly! Have class again tonite. I did fairly well last night, hitting one long putt and my drives were better.

Karen, hope the double sessions help, at least you'll be able to see if more cardio helps you out. I hear more cardio, less cardio, just have to see for yourself. Sorry you won't be home for Thanksgiving. Will your DH be able to come see you? The Imax2 Blast only is really fun and not as tough as I had figured.

Rhea, are you out there? Hope you are okay.

Jeanette

Good morning!

I've been playing hooky! I was in Sacramento on Monday and Tuesday. Yesterday, I just didn't want to work, didn't have anything I had to do and I was exhausted, so I took a mental health day. I'll be pretty busy starting next week, so I take the time when I can.

No workouts for me again. Pulled the other side of the back on Saturday. x( Sunday I did a little walk/run since the weather was great, but I haven't attempted anything else since. Probably won't until tomorrow since last night's sleep for some reason has made it act up. But we did buy a new bed on Monday and I'm really hoping that it will help. It is one of those sleep number beds and supposed to be pretty good for us side sleepers (probably a reason why my back doesn't heal as fast as it should) Unfortunately, the bed won't be here until about the 22nd, well, in Reno. Then we have to go pick it up.

Well, I had better get to work and see what is lying in wait for me. Have a great day everyone and wonderful workouts!

Good Evening!:)

Great to hear from you Rhea -- I think both Jeanette and I were starting to worry. So sorry, however, that you've pulled the other part of your back. Good thing, though, that you've bought a new bed. Bet that will go a long way to help. Walks sound good. Since things are already stressed, it doesn't make sense to stress it more. Hang in there, kiddo.

I'm a side sleeper, too, I'm afraid.

Jeanette -- I'm going to have to try that IMAX2 Blast -- IMAX2 is my fav of the IMAX's -- except that I really like blast #10 in IMAX3. Yeah, I don't know if the extra cardio will help or not -- I hope it helps, but we'll see. Sounds like the golfing is fun -- did you have some more fun tonight?

Yes, it will be terrible not being home for Thanksgiving -- I've got to just push through and get home soon. I also have to temper that with work -- I don't have as much time to write this next book as I've had with the others.

But gee, the research is great!

Oh, it was Bootcamp for me today and then CTX 10-10-10 again tonight. Both wonderful workouts.

Well, have a great day tomorrow and some wonderful workouts!:7
