KK's November/December Check-In

Hi!

Today was TBS -- Total Body Sculpting for me. Again, the time is incredible. How Cathe was able to get a full body workout in in under 30 minutes is incredible. I wish she'd do it again.:)

I do go heavy on triceps and biceps and leg work -- actually I go heavy on most all of it, to tell you the truth.

Janie, a question. How did you manage to get your quotes in with your posts? I really like your quotes and I'm thinking I'd like to post some, too. But I don't know how to do it. Sigh...

Hi Rhea!

Hope you day tomorrow is great!:D

Hi KK,

Go to User CP, above in the blue line far left, click on that.

In the far left column, under Settings & Options, go down and click on Edit Signature.

A box will show up and there you can insert whatever you like.

Once done, click on Save Signature.

Refresh computer, and the next time you post, you should be able to see what you inserted under your name. If not, try refreshing again.

Have fun with it!

Janie

Good Evening

Well, I'm trying so hard to be better at coming to the forums, but I get so busy...

Janie, thank you so much for helping me with my signature. I so love quotes and have run across a couple of them that I think are terrific -- so I thought I'd add them to my posts.

Have been keeping up with the workouts. They are still short, but intense. Today was 4DS, Bootcamp -- cardiio only -- it's so good for anaerobics.

Hi Rhea! Hope all is well with you.

Am hoping to be selling my earlier works to an ebook company soon -- have just had some of my rights returned on my earlier works. That would be nice. We'll see -- I don't count my chickens until they're hatched.

Diet wise, am still dieting. I have about 4-5 pounds to go to get to where I want -- why are these the hardest? Sigh...

Have a super day tomorrow Janie & Rhea -- and you, too, Jeanette, if you're out there looking in.:D

Good Evening!

I sure am behind in my correspondence and work. But I'm trying to catch up. Just not easy.

Anyway, today was TBS -- which the right time -- and going heavy and inserting even more reps when possible I'm hoping makes it a good total body workout.

Hope all is going well with both you, Janie and you, Rhea -- and if you're out there looking in, Netta, you, too! :)

Have a super evening!:D

Today's challenges: Pull Ups: 4 assisted, 5 Australian, 6 assisted, 5 Australian, (1 max hang) I was doing Australian, with one knee in, nope, so I did 4 real Australian push ups. Man O Man. It's so hard! I'm hanging in there. Push Ups: 12, 13, 10, 10, 20. Squats: 16, 18, 13, 13, 25. Sit Ups: 24, 32, 23, 23, 50. I also did the rest of a full body workout with heavy weight 3 sets ea. of 8. Whew!

Hi KK, I see you are as busy as usual. Great job on TBS and going heavy and modifying to fit you. Well done.

Have a good one dear friend.

Janie

Good Evening!

Wow, Janie, your workout looks amazingly hard. Well done for what you did accomplish today!

Yesterday was a day of filing and running all over the place it seems like -- up early and not home until late and so no workout. Today was one the Hiit 30/30. That's still a challenging workout.

Am hoping to have enough time over the weekend to do the FIRM #4 workout -- 42 minutes -- but it's both cardio and strength so it has alot good things about it.

Have a super weekend everybody. Do well and have some fun!:D

Good Evening!

Just a quick check-in. Today was the FIRM #4 -- 42 min. total body workout. I wish I could find more of those -- full body workout in that amount of time, since time is so short nowadays for me.

Hope all is going well with you, Rhea, and you, Janie and Jeanette, if you're out there looking in, you, too. :)

Good Evening!

Okay, so yesterday was Drill Max -- cardio only -- and today was my usual Total Body Sculpting -- going heavy. :)

Hope you are all doing great! Hi Janie! Hi Rhea! Hi Jeanette, if you're out there looking in.

Have a super day.:D

Hi KK,

Today was mini trampoline watching TV for 30 min.

Great job on DM and TBS. TBS is Joey's most favorite workout.

Take care,

Janie

Hello everyone! Been super busy here too with work and then the house and the regular every day crude we all have to do....never ends. OH well, at least I stay out of trouble!! LOL

I've been doing the Chalean Extreme lately since they are shorter weight workouts. Haven't done much cardio, but that I'm going to change. I need some. It will just depend on how much energy I have when I get home from work in the evening. I cannot do cardio first thing in the am, not awake enough.

Here's a new picture of the outside of the house and a quick shot of the inside. The tapers are working on it now.

Challenges: Pull-Ups with 60 sec rest between sets: 3 Assisted, 5 Australian, 3 Assisted, 4 Australian, and 1 hang. Very hard! May have to do this week yet again. Oh well, I'm determined to do one pull up at the end of this month. I noticed my right hand locking and unlocking when doing the Australian pull-ups. Don't know what that's about. My body might be to heavy to lift up for my hands. Hmmmm. So far I'm not hurting anywhere.

Push-Ups with 90 sec. rest between sets: 14, 19, 14, 14, 19. Almost didn't get the 19 in. OMG! It's getting so hard! May have to do this week over again. It's OK, determined to do this, even if it takes longer than 6 weeks. Whew! As long as my body isn't hurting, I'm game.

Sit-Ups 60 sec. between sets: 30, 38, 30, 30, 70. Doing well on these so far.

Rhea, It's so good to hear from you! Your house looks like it's coming into shape very well. Great job on Chalean Extreme, she's really a good instructor. Your plan for more cardio sounds great. Continue to Keep us posted on your beautiful house.

Have a great evening,

Janie

Good Evening!

Been doing the same ole thing pretty much. Cardio/anaerobics and some weight work.

Rhea, how short are those weight workouts? I'm looking for full body weight workouts that are fairly short. Like you, I just don't have the time anymore.

Janie, your workouts look extreme and very productive. Wow! I wanted to ask you, Janie, where you got the lye for making soap? I am going to try this (like I don't have enough to do)...

Rhea, I love the pictures of your house -- looks like it's really coming along nicely. What fun -- though much, much work.

My weight is up about 5 lbs. Sigh... Those 5 lbs. are so hard for me to get rid of.

Anyway, like you, Rhea, the busy-ness seems to keep me out of trouble.

Have a super day tomorrow!:D

Challenges for yesterday: Pull-Ups 60 sec between sets: Assisted 5, 4 Australian, Assisted 5, 5 Australian, and 1 hang. I'm done with level two, but I know I can't go to level 2 yet because there are pull ups and I still can't do one, so I'll do the last week of Level one again. Push Ups on Toes 60 sec. between sets: 18, 22, 16, 16, and 26. Sit ups with 60 sec. between sets: 54, 60, 45, 36, and 62. Then used heavier weight than normal and did hamstrings, inner and outer thighs, quads, shoulders, biceps and triceps. My whole body was trembling. Whew! Took over and hr. and 1/2. May have to start do the challenges in the morning and the rest at night.

KK, Glad you still are moving with exercise, it's so important as you know. I buy my lye here: The Boyer Corporation, Lagrange, Il 60525. Let me know how your soap turns out. It's a lot of fun!

Have a good one,

Janie

KK - the shorter workouts are from Chalene Johnson, called Chalean Extreme! I do love the shorter weights. I can fit them in the morning before work and then go work at the house in the afternoon. So that is mainly what I am doing for the next month or so....

Here's the latest view of some of the house. We should get texture on the walls tomorrow.

Hi Rhea,

Your house is getting there I see. I know it's a lot of work, and I admire anyone who can do those things.

Take care,

Janie

Thank goodness I don't have to do any of the tape and texture. I've done that before and it is tiring and very messy.

Good Evening!

Today was one of the Hiit workouts -- the Pyramids -- like that one!

Thanks for the resource, Janie. Yes, I was having a hard time finding lye for making soap. I'm almost out of the ones that you sent me a few years back -- great product, by the way, Janie.

Hi Rhea! Charlene, huh? Okay, I'm going to have to buy some of her newer workouts. I need the shorter workouts, too. I just don't have the time to workout like I used to -- but I do like to get a full body workout done somehow.

I looked at all the pictures of your house. How exciting to watch it go up like that. I used to be a Realtor when I lived in Vermont -- and it was always exciting to see how a house really gets built. Have you ever seen the old movie (Cary Grant) Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. Hilarious!

Have a super day tomorrow y'all.:D

In fact, I just saw that movie last month some time on TCM. Funny movie. I was giggling at the decisions for the plans, each bedroom with its own bathroom!!! That's expensive.
