KK's March Check-In

Morning,
Today was Legs & Glutes, a short premix of standing and floor work. I just don't want to tax myself too much yet so taking it easy. Yesterday, DH and I took the dogs out to run, which was nice. Still recovering from this darned cold.

Janie, glad you can get back to the writing. How did you learn so much about soap? I was given some nice glycerin soaps yesterday as a gift. Will try one out today in my shower.

Karen, it's so depressing to listen to the news. I think we are not headed in a good way at all. Diesel is almost $4 per gallon up here. I'm sure the higher fuel prices are being passed on to us, the consumer.

Gotta run,

Jeanette

Good afternoon!

Well, yesterday after running to Reno, I actually did a workout. Okay, it was the m&ms that put me over, between them and the fritos, I needed to workout just to get rid of the extra calories I consumed all day. So I did Cardio Collectibles. It was a great workout evening. Felt awesome (probably still on a sugar high!)

Not sure what I'm going to do today. I've done step a couple days in a row, so if I do cardio, it is going to have to be a floor type. Maybe I'll do Totally Hot Cardio or a Turbo Jam and add on a short weight workout. I'll just have to see what I'm in the mood to attack.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Eveninig!:)

It was IMAX2 for me today -- one of my favorite workouts. Tomorrow, I'm chaning my rotation to do ME and the cardio the next day. Well, last night I left my computer out and a rambunctious (sorry for the spelling) kitty knocked some of my keyboard keys out -- so now I have to take that in for fixing. But it's my fault leaving it out in the open. I just hope it doesn't cost too much!

Yes, I'm afraid the economic news isn't great. When I see prices go up like this -- oh, well. I think I'll go and buy a bunch of seed stock. With food prices on the increase as well, I think growing your own sounds good.

Jeanette, I love Legs & Glutes -- sorry that the cold really put you out of whack for a few days. I know you'll be back on top soon, though. Talking about your dogs makes me miss mine, I must admit.

Rhea, you made me smile yet again with your subtle humor and m&m's. The workouts look good, however.

Janie, hope that book is going well, too!

Have a super day tomorrow, everyone. :7

Good morning,
Today was a premix from SJP, step & weights, plus abs. SJP never fails to make me feel good, love the music in that one. I'm feeling better today. Yesterday went to the golf course a played 9 holes. Felt good. It was beautiful out. Nice cardio just walking the course.

Karen, hopefully the keyboard won't cost much to fix. That Georgie boy! When does he get fixed?

Rhea, M&M's, my favorites! Hope you got a good Christi fix. I almost pulled out one of hers today. Working my way back up on cardio, still don't want to overdo and get a setback.

Janie, know you are busy. You are planting a big garden this year? With the prices of food, I should do that too.

Gotta run,

Jeanette

Good morning!

Well yesterday I did a fun mixture of workouts. I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for, so I started out with Turbo Jam Mix #2 and then had more time, so I added on the Turbo Jam live Boot Sculpt and Abs. I thought about you Karen when I was doing this one. I remember how you like Cathe's comments/jokes during the workouts. Chalene the instructor, is hysterical. She is always talking, walking around, cracking jokes throughout the entire workout. It is just like you are with her in her class. In fact, it is actually filmed live, with her students, at her club in Orange County. I have to remember to do that one more. Oh, and it is only 30 minutes.

Well, no workout today planned. Massage and detox foot bath tonight, so probably best to be a rest day. Then I can be back on the attack tomorrow.

Janie, can you come plant my garden? I'm not sure when I'm going to fit that in....last year I ended up with no garden because of time and weather was cold too long.

Karen - hope that fix is not too bad. Aren't those "kids" little rascals? I caught one of mine on top of the bookcase the other day. I guess she was playing queen of the jungle or something.

Jeanette - you will be back at it in no time. I like SJP too, haven't done that one in a while. I'll have to pop it in. Glad you are feeling better. Was the golf course all clear of snow? Eek, I'd better get working on this shoulder faster.....

Have a great day every one!

KK,, Seems everything is getting more expensive these days. I feel the same way about posting here as well. You all are the greatest. Was the keyboard very expensive to fix?

Jeanette, How are you doing with your cold? Should be just about over right? Please take care. I've been makjing soap over 35 years, it's a passion of mine to use natural ingredients in the soap. I am planning the biggest garden yet this year. Everything I can think of that will grow in this area.

Rhea, I have those days also, just need to let go and enjoy it and come back to a clean eating routine when you are ready.. M&M's YUMMMMMMM.

I bought a HRM and learning more about it as the days pass. I think I like it.

Today is cardio for me. Was on the treadmill for 30 min. and in my Target zone at 75%. it was great. Didn't press hard but that's OK. If I go over 75% then I risk loosing the muscle I worked so hard to obtain. At least that's what I'm understanding. It's a process to loose fat and gain muscle combination. It's tricky, but I think it's working for me.

Take care everyone,

Janie

Good Evening!:)

Today was ME -- the premix because of time and all. Haven't fixed the keyboard yet as the fellow who fixed my computer last time is out of town. I'll get some quotes and see how much it costs elsewhere, otherwise I might wait for him to get back into town.

Yes, I love little Georgie and it really wasn't his fault -- I'll just be sure to close my computer from now on when I'm not using it.

Today was a catch up on everthing I've put on hold for the past week while I've been concentrating on promo. Hopefully that's done and I can now concentrate -- 1 1/2 months to deadline. I can't believe I did it to myself again. About 300 - 350 pages to write. Oh well. Gotta get down to it.

Jeanete, I love SJP, too. I love the music in it, the Intensity series and Hardcore series best. I love the new 4DS workouts, but the music for some reason or another wasn't as good as those others. But also 9 holes of golf -- wow! I bet it was beautiful.

Rhea, yeah, I really love those comments that Cathe makes and I loved Charlene -- I'm going to get another set of her workouts -- I miss them -- but I also know that my daughter is putting them to good use -- so that's good. I'm buying seed for planting next year -- does that count?

Janie, your garden sounds great. I know we started one last year -- both on the ground and on our roof. It's great getting produce right straight from what you planted -- it's why I'm stocking up on seed now.

Tomorrow's the day when I get back on track and get down to work -- email has been taking me anywhere from 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours a day to answer. But that's to be expected with all the promo I've been doing. It'll get back to normal and I just have to concentrate.

Have a super day! And have fun with all your projects! :7

Darn, I lost my post.

Today was a combo of Gay Gasper step and Christi Taylor. Still taking it easy.

Rhea, yes, I played the front 9 and only very little snow around 2 of the holes (1st, where I lost my orange ball in the snowbank) and the 8th hole. I don't know about the back 9 under the trees. I would think thee is still some, but lots of people out playing there so guess it's doable.

Janie, that's a long time making soap. Do you sell it too? A big garden would be nice. Our growing season isn't very long up here.

Karen, hope you get the keyboard fixed soon. You always seem to put your nose to the grindstone and get it all done.

Gotta run,
Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Losing the post is really a drag, isn't it? That's happened to me before, too. Thanks for coming back and reconstructing it, however.

It was the first 30-40 minutes of BM2 today -- and a stretch -- just did the stretch fomr BM2, as well. It's a good stretch. With this juicing and all, I don't seem to need the extra workout in the evening, so I have a bit more time. But I may get back to that workout in the evening, if only because I sleep better and more deeply when I workout at night, it appears.

Jeanette, I think you're wise to take it easy.

Hi Rhea & Janie!

Hoping to get to bed early tonight. Have a really super day tomorrow and have some great workouts!:7

Hi,
Today was Supersets for me. Love this workout. The only one I modify is the preacher curls on the ball, using DB's instead of the BB as my stability ball has "bumps" on it and I don't like getting my elbow on a "bump". I can control it better with the DB's. The concentration curls I use a 10# instead of Cathe's 12#. It's a toughie on the left arm for me for sure.

Karen, great that you don't have to do the 2nd workout. Seems like the juicing is working for you. Hope you get lots accomplished this weekend!

Hi Rhea and Janie!

Jeanette

Good Mornin,

We're getting ready to do Gym Style chest and triceps. Tomorrow will be a cardio day.

I went outside to our pole building the other day. It was right after a leg workout, and I slipped and fell. I'm thankful that Joe and I workout because if I hadn't, I'm sure I could have hurt myself. But fortunately I'm fine, just a little scuff on my big toe. I almost did the splits with one leg tucked under me. Hey that sounds like a stretch doesn't it?

Sounds like everyone is doing good.

Take care everyone and stretch,

Janie

Sunday mornin,

I did LIS today and will probably do a 30 min. interval cardio on the treadmill tonight. I love cardio, for me that's when I lose the darn old calories from the day before.

Hope to hear from you tomorrow,

Janie

Good Evening!:)

Okay, so I hope you don't mind if I use this not only for my check in, but for keeping track of my page counts each day as well. Target is 10 pages a day -- we'll see...

Jeanette, I love Supersets, as well. It and ME are my favorite strength workouts. I understand about those Preacher curls -- I'm here without a stability ball and so I don't do that workout as often -- you go a little heavier on the concentration curls than I do -- I use 8#'s and it whips me -- just whips me... I never go a high as Cathe -- but I hopefully do well for where I'm at. ;)

Yeah, I don't need that 2nd workout with this juice feasting -- the weight is just kinda melting off. I've lost 4 lbs on it so far -- and so I'm happy with that -- and not having to do the workout in the evening, just to keep the weight down, helps me to get to sleep sooner in the evening -- but those workouts really did help me sleep more soundly and deeply.

Janie, you fell. I'm so sorry, but am really glad that you're okay. Now, interestingly, I fell during my workout on Friday -- no injury, but I tripped over my own feet.:+ Janie, I, too, love the cardio because it helps me to keep my weight in check. But I also love the strength workouts cause boy, you know, for my age, these workouts really shape your muscles and I think that it is helping to keep me younger for longer -- in other words, I think the bones are benefitting from the strength workouts.:)

Hi Rhea!

Okay, so bear with me -- each Sunday, I look at the coming rotation: I think I'll do CTX rotation this week, they are mostly under an hour and I really need this right now as I am not only on course, but under the gun on deadline. So here's the plan:

Mon: 4DS cardio only (anaerobic) Bootcamp
Tues-Sun: CTX series

Have a really super day, everyone. Let your hubby know that we're cheering for him with these workouts, Janie! Great workout everyone!:7

Hi all,
This morning was 4DS Legs and Abs. Yesterday I did a short, easy bike spin around our local loop, then golfed 9 holes on the back 9. Will golf after work with a few others I think.

Karen, sorry you fell, but glad you caught yourself and didn't get hurt. Good going on the weight loss. CTX is great, isn't it?

Janie, you fell, oh my! I hate that! So glad you didn't get hurt. If you didn't work out it would probably have been much worse. The splits doesn't sound good.

Hi Rhea,

Jeanette

KK, 10 pages a day, you go girl! I agree, we need cardio and strength, balance and intervals in our workouts. There's no way out of it! Thank goodness I love doing it. I'll let Joey know you are cheering him on. That's sweet of you. Your Mon. and Tues. workouts look great. Remember no more falling! OK? I'll do the same thing.

Jeanette, Awww, golfing time already! Have fun with that sport, I know you love it, and biking. I fell because it was slippery and rainy outside and didn't wear the appropriate shoes. I know better than that, was just too lazy to change my shoes. Oh well, that won't happen again.

Today Joey and I will do Gym Style Back, Shoulders and Biceps. Tomorrow our own version of cardio. I'll be dong HIS from 4DS, and Joey I think will do stationary bike.

Hi Rhea, how ya doing?

Janie

Good morning!

I'm here, but will be posting very short posts this week. Lots of things to do in the office before "vacation" next week. I don't know if you can call it vacation when you stay home and remodel.

Yesterday's workout went by the wayside since I was sore from tiling. Today I'm going to do at least a little workout. No bother with weights right now. I'm doing a lot of lifting with those darn tiles. They are 18 inch by 18 inch and weigh probably close to ten pounds a piece. So constantly picking them up and leaning forward is a pretty good weight workout.

Sat I forced myself to do the cardio from 4DS HIS. Today, I have no idea. I might want to do Kick, Punch and Jam which I did on Friday and it was quite fun. I'll have to see. DH is interviewing in Sacramento, so he won't be home until later this evening. If I can get my rear in gear, I might get a lot of things done while he is gone. (plus stuff at the office.....eek....)

Oh well, gotta run. Have a great day everyone! Happy workouts!

Good Evening!:)

It was the cardio only from Bootcamp from 4 DS. Love that workout.
Didn't get as much written today as I should have as I cut my finger real bad -- took it a bit to stop bleeding. So got a late start on the day because of that. It's okay, just hurt and it took time...

Jeanette, sounds like a wonderful day yesterday -- biking and golf. Perfect. Yeah, the weight loss is great. It was higher today, but I'm not sweating it like I used to.

Janie, what fun that the two of you are working out together. And yes, I really have to get my butt into gear. Am having computer problems -- dad-blasted computer keeps shutting itself off.

Rhea, wow, those tiles sound heavy. So different from my conception of tiling. Great on getting the tiling done anyway. And a vacation next week. Great.

Okay, well it's very late so I'm going to sign off here and get to bed. Have a really super day.:7

Morning,
Did Cardio & Weights this morning, upper body weights only and step. Trying to build back up. Golfed yesterday after work, didn't do well but it was nice getting out. Think I need to hit a driving range somewhere.

Rhea, what are you tiling? Bet it will be nice.

Janie, Joey sounds like he is doing well! Has he worked out in the past?

Karen, sorry about the finger. Did you get the keyboard fixed on your computer? I've got to do Bootcamp from 4DS sometime.

Gotta run,

Jeanette

Good morning!

Well, yesterday wss a quick workout, well, sort of quick. I did the Kick, Punch and Jam or whatever it is called from Chalene. It has some fun routines and great music. Then I tiled for two hours. Oh joy; actually it was a little fun. I plugged in Magnum PI and listened to some episodes while I tiled.

Today will be a shorter workout and more tiling. I might be able to get the rest of the entry way done tonight. Then I can start grouting tomorrow.

Jeanette - the entry way is being re-tiled. Then starting Friday, one of the bathrooms is being completely demolished and I'm tiling both the floor and the tub.

Well, gotta run, court in about five minutes.
