KK's July Check In

Hi,
Did Christi Taylor's Core Cardio this morning for the first time. It was good, fairly easy to learn and a challenge with the exercise balls (thanks Rhea). Did an easy bike spin into town tonite for the club meeting. My legs are still sore from last Sunday. Will do a good stretch tomorrow, need fresh legs for the ride in Fall River Mills on Saturday. I'll be going over there tomorrow night and camping overnight for an early start on Saturday morning. It's a great ride.

Rhea, hope the back is feeling better and you are all de-toxed. Enjoy your golf game tonite. What's the status of the golf course?

Jeanette

Oops, forgot to check in last Friday.

Jeanette, status of golf course, is who knows? We can still play. The court case got moved until Sept., so we are all expecting to keep playing.

No workouts for me this weekend. Was just too lazy. I've got to get out of this mode. My weight is horrendous. I feel like a pilsbury dough boy. So, this afternoon, I expect to do a Christy Taylor cardio to jumpstart and then I'll sit down sometime today and write out a rotation. Something with the p90s, but adding some different tapes to make it more fun with the cardio.

Talk to you all later. Have great workouts.

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm glad to see more people are on the forum lately.

I had a really good time with my SIL, she's a keeper.

Today I did Amy Bento A Team Boot Camp. It's tough!

Hi to Jeanette, Rhea, KK, Becky, and to everyone else I may have forgotten. Didn't mean to if I did. I need to know who all is here, and haven't learned everyone's names yet.

Hi all,
Had a great bike ride (100 miles) in Fall River Mills on Saturday. Sunday, DH and I finished tiling the hearth area. Can't wait to grout it all and get the woodstove set up on it.

I started Cathe's May 2007 Rotation using all premixes. Yesterday was Drill Max Cardio & All Upper Body. Today was Kick Max Low Impact Timesaver. I did an easy spin on the bike tonite. I've been watching the Tour De France each morning and only getting on the computer at night if I have time.

Rhea, I am going with a friend to the golf course tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. to hit a bucket of balls. Have you picked a rotation yet?

Janie, glad you had time with your SIL. Did you do anything special? Do you like Amy Bento?

Hi Karen, hope you come back soon, miss you! Hi to Becky.

Jeanette

Good Morning!:)

At last I'm back. Can't begin to tell you how much I've missed you all. On the reservation, there was no way to log on -- I couldn't find a computer anywhere and even though I'd brought my laptop, there were no local (free) phone lines to even go online on dial-up. And then when we were with my mother-in-law in Billings, we were there for such a short time. Anyway, it was quite a trip.

Beautiful, beautiful Montana, though hot, it was always cool at night. And we've managed to come home with two dogs from the reservation... Dogs roam wild on the reservation and these two attached themselves to us and were so cute and helpful (and young), that we couldn't leave them behind.

Am way behind in my correspondence and have come home to a minor deadline and so I'm going to just say "hi"! -- wish you all a wonderful day and then log on tonight and read your posts and catch up.

Workout wise -- there were so many people where we stayed that I only had the ability to do a Cathe workout twice -- other than that -- it was running each morning and a few weight workouts (from memory) here and there. Once we hit Billings, both my hubby and I were sick with something and so there were no workouts done in Billings outside of walking.

Can't begin to tell you how happy I am to be home -- although we're having a minor animal "protest" cause we've brought home two new (and young) dogs.;)

Have a super day! Can't wait it catch up with everyone!:7

Hi Everyone,

Jeanette, My DH and SIL and myself went to the Glass Museum in Tacoma WA. She just loved it. She was very surprised how wonderful it is.

Yes, I like Amy Bento. I include her in my rotations here and there. I enjoy all kinds of different instructors, but you can't beat Cathe.

Karen, glad to see you are back home safely. What a trip you had! I'm so glad you picked up a couple of pets. How wonderful of you guys!

Take care everyone,

Janie

Hello!

Karen - welcome back! We sure missed you, but we used your thread the entire time. LOL I hope your pets adjust soon. Soemtimes I think they plan revenge behavior to get back at the new "intruders."
I'm just getting back into the swing of things myself, but then the Harry Potter book came out, so it is real hard to work out instead of read.

Jeanette - have fun hitting those balls. I hit my finger with the swing hammer stapler, so I now have a big blood blister on my left hand. It might interfere with my golf swing, darn it.

Well, I had better run. A few things to do in the office and the I'm off to workout! Yippee.

Hi all,
Today's workout was LIC Cardio Blast Timesaver and then I added on the abs from LIC. Good workout. Tomorrow night will be a hill climb competition. Hoping to beat my time on this course from 3 months ago.

Janie, glad you had a good time with your SIL. I'll have to check out some more of Amy.

Rhea, sorry to hear of the blister. Had to postpone the ball hitting at the golf course until Friday. My partner is going to take his wife to the concert at the college so we rescheduled.

Karen, so happy you are back home and had a good time. Tell us about the dogs that came back with you. Can't wait to hear!

Jeanette

Hi everyone!

Yesterday's workout was the full Cardio Collectibles with Christi Taylor. I love the step portion, but not too sure about the hi/lo, too much jumping I think. I have some blisters on the balls of my feet, darn it. I also think my newer shoes are just not impact enough for me. Now I have to go order some more.

I'm off for some golfing and camping on the North Coast this weekend. Yippee.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Good Afternoon!:)

It is so good to be back. Since I've been sick (a sort of flu or something), I haven't worked out for a week -- can hardly believe it -- did am slightly under the weather, but cannot continue to not workout and so I did Bootcamp today -- one of my favorites. Great workout!

Janie -- Glad you had fun with your SIL -- what's the Glass Museum, by the way. I've often looked at Amy in the Collage catalog -- what's she like?

Rhea -- Okay, so have you finished Harry Potter? I think it was an incredible book -- my hubby and I read it to each other on the way home -- took turns reading it as we were driving. There were so many places where I could barely read (there at the end) cause I was crying. She really redeemed herself, I think, after book 6, which I didn't like quite so much. What do you think?

Have fun on your camping trip -- sounds great! Hope that blister heals up quickly.

Jeanette -- LIC Cardio Blast Timesaver, huh? Sounds like a great workout -- I'm going to have to check it out. Believe it or not, I made a trip to Sports Authority to get one more workout outfit -- wanted to really make sure I don't procrastinate anymore on my workouts.

The dogs (again, they run wild on the reservation) are muts -- one looks as though he has some German Shepard in him -- the other has some Collie -- but they are both breeds. They really adopted us on the reservation and we couldn't bear to leave them behind. They are young, enthusiastic, and so cute it's hard to describe how cute they are. They are also extremely intelligent -- on the rez, they would look both ways before crossing the street and in some cases even wait for the green light before crossing the street.

We just couldn't leave them to their fate -- and food -- getting it -- was a daily problem for them -- so we brought them back with us -- and all the way home, do you know, they were very little problem (and I have only a '99 Camry) -- they didn't go to the bathroom, but waited patiently for us to stop for them. Completely delightful pets.

So now we really have quite a few animals -- and I must admit that we love it!;)

Have a wonderful day -- I know that I may not hear from everyone again until Monday perhaps -- so just in case, let me wish everyone a wonderful weekend (I'll be working as I've come home to a deadline...):7

Amy Bento is second IMO to Cathe. She's tough and it is great for me to use other instructors in my rotations. Just more DVD's to buy.

The glass museum is a place where you can be seated and watch the artists do glass blowing. They have huge ovens and fire and these blobs of glass on a large steel dowel. They proceed to make beautiful vases, plates, sculpted pieces. Way to cool! There is another attraction; there is a bridge that you cross and when you look up at it, it is all pieces of glassware of all kinds under glass.

I'll download some pictures for you all to see. They are so beautiful! I'll do that right now. Just look in my picturetrail under "Glass Bridge".

I got so excited about it, I forgot to put my name to this.

Hi all,
Today was BM2 Double Upper Body Premix. Had a hill climb competition. Didn't better my time from 3 months ago and it sure felt tough. Of course, the temp was in the 90's while climbing and my heart rate shot way up. It was a killer for sure.

Janie, the pictures are beautiful, thanks so much for sharing. I've always been fascinated by seeing glass blowers on TV.

Karen, bless your heart for bringing home those dogs. You were top notch in my book but now my admiration for you soars even more! Hope you get lots done with your deadline.

Rhea, have a good vacation. I like Cardio Collectables too!

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Hi! Workout today consisted of a run around the block with both dogs -- and then back home to do some sprinting -- Sprint 8, actually. Stretch and then down to work.

Jeanette, thank you so much for your compliments -- really means the world to me. My hubby deserves some of the compliments, as well, as he also wanted to bring the dogs home...and everyday it is he and I who walk them. BM2 is such a good workout -- hope you enjoyed it, Jeanette. Sorry the ride wasn't as good as a few months ago, but I think you're right -- 90 degrees is just plain hot.

Janie, of course I went and looked at the pictures -- beautiful -- and so colorful -- when you were talking about them, I wasn't thinking so colorful, but those are just gorgeous. Also looked at some of your other picts and noticed that one in Vermont. Did I tell you that I used to live in Vermont? So beautiful!

I'm going to have to get some more workouts, as well -- but Cathe is so much my favorite.:7

There's a pow-wow here locally this weekend and I will probably go for one day of the weekend, although I'm thinking so much that I really need to be working.

But anyway, have a really super weekend, everyone! :7

Good Evening!:)

Here it is, Sunday evening, and it's time for me to look to the next week and figure out this coming week's rotation. Yesterday, I did a premix (about 46 min.) from SJP. Plus went for two runs with the dogs.

This morning I went for a run with the dogs (all on my own -- usually my hubby and I run them) and ended up with some back trouble -- they're young and energetic and sometimes hard to handle all by my lonesome.

But anyway, as to next week's rotation: I was going to go back to the rotation I was doing prior to going to the reservation, however, with my back just a little hurt, I think I'll do something else -- also I went an entire week without working out recently, as I was sick. So here goes:

Mon: IMAX2 -- my fav

Tues: Muscle Endurance (if back is doing better)

Wed: Sprint 8 outside -- plus a stretch with Cathe

Thurs: Bootcamp

Fri: Sprint 8 outside (will probably include running with the dogs, as well)

Sat: LIC either complete or a premix

Sun: Off

We'll see how this goes. It has a bit more anaerobics than what I usually do, as well as one more day of weights.

Have the new manuscript back for revisions so it will be a busy week for me.

Have a super day! :7

Good morning,

Hope everyone had a good weekend, I surely did. Trip to Reno to buy grout for the tile job, birthday party for daughter and granddaughter, grouting, bike ride and then nice trip out to the woods yesterday on the Rhino with DH and the dogs. Friday afternoon I went to the golf course with a friend and hit some balls. Today is a dentist appointment, shopping and then another wall of grouting to do.

Today was KickMax Cardio & Leg Conditioning Drills, then 22 minutes of Coremax Balanced Core Premix.

Karen, hope your back feels better. Mine always gets a bit sore when I walk our German Shorthair as she tends to want to lean a bit on the leash. Enjoy your Imax2 today.

Hi Janie, Rhea & Becky.

Jeanette

Hi All,

Karen, hope your back gets better soon. I usually plan a month of rotations, but your idea on a weekly rotation is so doable. I'll do it this time around. Life can sometimes mess with your rotations if plotted to far in advance. Keep up the good workouts.

Jeanette, you keep as busy as I do. Have a great workout.

I have treadmill and yoga today.

Rhea and Becky, hope you have great workouts as well.

Janie

Hello there!

I'm not sure what is on the menu for today. I'm hoping that I can do the Christi Taylor Totally Hot Cardio. However, it is totally hot today. So we'll see how long I last with all the fans going full blast.

No dvd workouts for me this weekend. I was off camping. But I did manage to get in a walk/run at the campgrounds. Had to run to get my HR up, and boy did I have some sore spots the next day. I'm going to have to try and get in some runnning now and then just 'cause.

Have great workouts everyone!

Good Evening!:)

IMAX2 was great today, but hard for me, as I think I'm just a little out of shape. Back is better and I think ME for tomorrow should be fine.

Yes, walking (actually we take them for runs) the dogs -- both of them at the same time, isn't workable for me apparently -- they both like to run lots and in different directions.

Started my revisions today for this brand new editor -- hope they go well. There's a few problems, but hope we'll get them worked out.

Jeanette -- sounds like a fabulous weekend -- any time spent with the daughter and granddaughter would be great in my opinion. And home improvement is always good. Kick Max is one that I don't have -- amazingly enough. Oh, I didn't know that Cathe has some more workouts coming out soon. They look great, don't they?

Janie -- Hope the treadmill and yoga went great today -- love the cute icons that you have on all your posts -- they are so different. Yes, weekly rotations work best for me for the exact reason you mentioned.

Rhea -- Christi Taylor is another one I really want to try -- and like you, I think I need to get out and run, just "cause." The dogs are certainly getting my running going well, that's for sure.

Hi Becky!

Well, everyone, have a super day tomorrow and some terrific workouts!:7

Good morning,
Today was BM2 Cardio Blast premix for 62 minutes. Yesterday was a dentist appointment (new crown) and then grocery shopping and some more grouting on the wall. Today will be a hair appointment (haircut and new highlights) and then home to finish the grouting process.

Karen, I've been taking it easier with my Christi workouts and now getting back to doing Cathe cardio, I'm huffing and puffing a bit, but getting better. Hope your back is better today too. Glad you are getting the running in with your DH.

Rhea, where did you go camping? I'm going to play golf on Thursday night with a friend. We'll be bringing our spouses to watch (bet they are bored to death).

Janie, what yoga DVD's do you use? Do you use a program for the treadmill work?

Got to go, will be busy today.

Jeanette

Good morning!

Yesterday I managed the Totally Hot Cardio with Christi Taylor. Today will be a P90 sculpt with maybe an add on, but will depend on the time I get to workout. Womens league golf is tonight.

We were camping at Panther Flat in Gasquet, near the coast. DH was playing in the member/guest golf tournie up there. Hey I'll be at the golf course on Thurs, couples night league.

Karen - I had the same problem starting back up with the cardio, but it comes back very fast.

Janie - how are you doing today?

Becky - where are you? I think the med school has swallowed you!

Oops, better get to court.....
