KK's December Check-In

Hello!

I've been back, but a bit busy, so no posting.

San Francisco was a blast. The hardest part was trying to figure out what I could eat at my favorite Italian restaurant. I ended up having grilled swordfish with cannelli beans. Very tasty. We always sit at the place where you can watch the chefs, so we also got some crab cakes sent to us by the chef (you can talk to them too, you are right in front of the prep) The restaurant had a new head chef, she was really nice and had made some good changes to the menu. I also had tiramasu for dessert, it was delish.

No workouts to report. Been cold here and I have not been in the mood to sweat in the living room along with the wood stove. Hopefully today I will get in a workout without having to open all the windows. I seem to have better energy today too.

Well, back to work I suppose. The next two weeks I should be able to catch up with things, no formal court appearances that I know of....unless some juvenile gets picked up and then I night have to appear.

Good Evening!:)

It was CTX Step and intervals, cardio only, for me today -- was going to add a stretch with that, but was really short on time this morning. So I just did the short workout. But it was good and I instantly got down to work. My hubby comes here tomorrow night, and boy I am so anxious to see him. I can't wait.

Jeanette, I like the new KB workout. I really think the new workouts are topnotch. I only wish the music were a little better. But the workouts are wonderful! Yes, the colostrum comes powdered -- even if it's in capsules you can take it like I do -- I pull the capsule apart and just empty the colostrum into my mouth. Tastes pretty good. Hope that cold gets better -- olive leaf extract is also good for that if you need extra stuff to help you get over it. Again, at least it works for me -- but I'm no doctor.

Janie -- on the underarms, all commercial deorderants contain aluminum, which builds up over time and can cause itching and other problems -- the body has a hard time detoxing the aluminum. The crystal deorderant is completely nature and doesn't have the alumimun -- can't spell it -- but it might take the body some time to get over it. In the meantime (you must realize I'm not a doctor -- just passing on what works for me, and info I've research)-- anyway, to sooth it, you could put coconut oil on the area -- coconut oil is a natural disinfectant and should soothe the area as well as help it to heal -- but get real coconut oil -- at a Health Food Store and hopefully not pasturized -- the pasturization destroys the effectiveness of the oil -- it changes its structure. Hope that helps. Let me know, cause if it doesn't, I'll do some research on it.

Rhea, so glad to hear from you. Sounds to me like you made a great choice on that swordfish. I bet you're really busy, here right before the holidays, and I wouldn't worry about the workouts -- you'll get back on track.

Well, my hubby comes in late tomorrow, so I'll probably post a little earlier. Have a really super day and some really terrific workouts.:7

Morning,
Today was StretchX for me. Good one. Last night did a bike spin session with the Garage Boys. Made me sweat good. We have a little snow out front right now. I'm feeling much better and maybe dodged the bullet re: getting sick.

Karen, know you are anxiously awaiting the arrival of your DH. No, the music isn't as good in this new series, hard to beat the Intensity series and Body Blast. Good job on CTX Step & Intervals. Good and short, isn't it?

Rhea, glad you had a nice time in San Fran. The restaurant sounds awesome. How is the shoulder coming? Hope you don't shovel snow and stress it. They are calling for colder weather tomorrow.

Janie, my problem with the itchiness definitely was with the deoderant I was using. The crystal works fine for me. Hope you find out what is causing it. Karen is a wealth of knowledge! How long have you been working with soaps and such? Sounds interesting.

Got to go now,

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

My husband's flight was cancelled due to some problem with the plane -- now, I'm glad that he didn't fly on that plane, but am disappointed that he isn't here yet. He might not get here until Saturday, as it appears that is the next time that airline will have a flight that will work. I've asked him to go home and see if maybe a different airline might have something different. So...:-(

It was Cardio & Weights for me today. Really like that workout. Tomorrow is the cardio portion of Bootcamp -- really like that workout.

Jeanette, your spin sounds really fun. Am so glad that it looks like you averted that cold. Yea!

Hi Janie & Rhea. Janie -- how's that itching?

Well, hopefully, my hubby can get a flight out tomorrow instead of Saturday. I sure hope so.

Well, have a super day tomorrow and terrific workouts!:7

Morning,
Today was Core Synergistics for me. Love this workout. I'm getting better at it too. It just makes the whole body more functionally fit I think.

Karen, I'm so sorry your hubby's flight was cancelled. Hopefully, he's on his way now. Know you've got to be so disappointed (((hugs)))). Thank you for the good thoughts on my cold. Yep, I'm feeling much better, more energy.

Have great workouts everyone!

Jeanette

Good Mornin,

Karen Kay,
Sorry your hubby didn't make his flight. That must be disappointing. I still itch. Will see a doctor in Jan. when I have more time. Thanks for asking, your too kind. I love Cardio & Weights.

Jeanette,
So glad your Cold is gone. I love Tony Horton's Core Synergistics.

I guess you both planned my workout today. I'll do Cardio and Weights and part of Core Synergisics. Thanks ladies! It's always nice to get inspired.

Janie

The idea is to die young as late as possible

Good morning!

I've been getting back on track with the workouts. Did Cardio Collectibles yesterday and did Stepping Zone the day before. (Stepping Zone was one of Christi Taylor's that I hadn't done before, it was an older one of hers that was pretty fun. Some of the choreography was confusing, but still fun.) I might end up doing Stepping zone again today, but not sure about doing step again.

Karen- (((((HUGS)))), darn those airlines. I sure hope that your hubby gets a flight soon. I'd sure tell the airline to take a hike and book with another airline.

Jeanette - How do you like these frigid temps? It was only 14 at my house this morning. I guess I should take out my really warm coat that is in storage. YI can only wear it in sure cold weather. I know if I take it out, it will warm up.

Janey - hope you are doing well.

Well, I probably won't be on-line until after the Holidays. (if I could remember my darn password and user name, I could sign in on the home computer, but I can't remember!) So everyone have a great holiday and best wishes for the coming year!!

Good morning,
Today was Core Synergistics again. This one had me sweating. Only working 1/2 a day today, pick up the prime rib, wrap the dog gifts, some cleaning and baking tonite.

Janie, sorry the itch is still there. Hope the doctor has some remedy to help with that. I know it was no fun for me. The rash went all the way around behind my armpit. Bet you are busy with your GS.

Rhea, I've never heard of Christi Taylor's Stepping Zone. Is it a must have? Someone else is sending me one of the CIA's that she is in. It's raining outside right now. Will probably wash away the little bit of snow we have.

Karen, hope your DH got a flight out and you guys are catching up;-). Bet he falls in love with Georgie too. Enjoy your time!

Happy Christmas Eve!

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Sorry I haven't been on line for the past few days. My hubby finally arrived on the 22nd -- late in the eve and well...we've been enjoying each other's company in a very wonderful way.

Just to make things easy this week, I decided to do a CTX workout schedule -- it's an easy schedule and I don't have to think -- but I took today off and I'm afraid I've already gained back the weight I so diligently lost.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Ours was great, and I am so glad that my hubby is here -- but, boy, I sure miss the rest of my family and being home and doing all the things I usually do at this time of year.

Tomorrow is 10-10-10 I think. Have a wonderful rest of the holiday season!:7

Good Evening!:)

It was 10-10-10 for me today -- and another wonderful day spent with my hubby. Hope all is going well with you all in our preparations for New Years. Hard to believe the year is almost over. But here it is upon us.

Have a super day tomorrow and some terrific workouts!:7

Good evening,
Hope everyone had a great Christmas. We had a very large houseful. The prime rib turned out wonderful. My sister is here in town visiting, but tonite is over at my folks house. I am playing here on the new laptop my DH got me for Christmas. Going to take some getting used to. It has Vista and a lot different from my old Windows ME operating system.

I started to work out yesterday morning, but DS came over to open some presents so no workout. Also, I'm thinking I'm going to have to replace my DVD player pretty soon as it's freezing pretty regularly.

Today's workout was HIS and then my sister got up to join me so I put in CTX Kickbox. It was a pretty good workout for her. Her shoulders were burning so guess she doesn't work out that hard most of the time. I was just glad to have her working out with me.

Karen, bet you are beyond joy to have your DH with you. Hope the time flies until you are back home with him.

Jeanette

Good Morning!:)

Can't believe I forgot to post last night. But I'm a little distracted with my hubby here and truly want to spend every single moment with him that I can. Boy, it is so good that he is here!:7

Am doing the CTX series this week, just to make the rotation easy for me -- so yesterday was CTX Intervals and today was CTX All Step -- both are becoming favorites with me -- not just because of the workouts, but because they are both less than an hour -- and yet incredibly enough, they are intense. :)

Jeanette, I am so glad that you had a housefull -- I missed that this year -- most years I have a housefull, as well, and I look forward to it each and every year. Next year, perhaps...

Hmmm...that prime rib sounds wonderful -- we had prime rib last year -- this year my hubby and I settled for chicken -- which was also good. But mostly, Jeanette, you have a new laptop. Wow! That is so very, very cool. I'm stuck here with a laptop that isn't as great as it might be -- although it does serve its purpose most times. Congrats on getting that new laptop.

Yeah, not fun when the DVD skips alot -- I ran into that last year when I was playing my workouts on my computer -- this year, I have a small DVD player and screen to play my workouts on. A present from my daughter, actually.

Hi Rhea and Janie! Hope you are having the time of your life with lots of family around you and lots of friends and good times.

Have a super day everyone, and happy workouts!:7

Hi all,
Have not been posting as much with my sister here. I've been spending the mornings with her. She did a yoga practice with me this morning, which was nice. She just got done commenting how much looser she felt today. Tomorrow we will do legs and back or something like that.

Karen, chicken is good too, bet you are having a great time with your hubbie. Yep, I'm loving the new laptop. So nice to be out in the living room instead of holed up in the den area.

Happy New Year to everyone,

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Jeanette, am so thrilled that you are able to spend such wonderful times with your sister. That's the great thing about the holidays -- family. Yes, am so glad that my hubby is here -- boy, how I don't want to be separated from him when he has to go back home. You know, if I'm still here when my deadline is complete, I'm going on this course full time and get it done fast. I miss being home.

In the meantime, I'll just hack away at it. :)

Okay, so another holiday week ahead -- it's going to be a repeat of CTX for me as the workouts are shorter -- only about 45-50 minutes except for 2 of them and they aren't over 60 minutes -- so they're short (more time for hubby) and again I don't have to think of the rotation.

Today was CTX Kickbox and tomorrow I plan on CTX legs -- then I'll start the whole rotation over.

Have a fabulous New Year and if I don't manage to get online tomorrow, let me wish you all a very wonderful and happy New Year.:7

Good morning,
Did Core Synergistics today. Started last week's rotation over again as I didn't get many of the workouts in, eating was terrible, blah, blah.

Also, my Grandmother had to be flown to Reno as she was having chest pains. That happened on Saturday and my sister (that came up from Atascadero) and Mom have been over with her since then. There is fluid around her heart, but not sure if it is a normal thing or not, or whether to drain it by surgery or medication. They were talking to the Cardiologist just a few minutes ago, so hopefully will come up with something for her. I decided to stay home from work in case Mom needs me.

All the company is gone.

Karen, know you have had a wonderful time with your DH. Is he still there? Have a Happy New Year!

Hi to Rhea and Janie, hope your holidays were wonderful!

Jeanette
