KK's December Check-In

Morning,
I subbed CardioX with 5 intervals from Tracey Staehle's High Intensity Step Mix and then followed up with some Christi Taylor Stepsational for about 50 minutes of cardio. Will get a 20-25 minute walk in later this afternoon.

Karen, so glad your DH gets to visit. How much longer will you be away? You are one determined lady to be able to stick with your program. How is Georgie?

Rhea, San Fran sounds like fun. About 5 years ago or so, our little acapella choir went down to San Fran to do some singing around the Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, etc. It was Christmas time and we had a wonderful time. Matt Mullin is from there so he drove us all over the place.

Janie, hope you get the 4DS soon. The HIS step is a little more complex, but only the 3rd combo for me. I still don't have it, but fake my way thru it. Hope the writing went well yesterday.

Got to run,

Jeanette

Good morning,
Quiet on here yesterday, guess everyone is busy. My workout today was P90X Shoulders and Arms. Have to do Ab Ripper X tonite (15 minutes). Also plan on a bike spin session with the Garage Boys if there is a quiet trainer available. We'll see, otherwise I'll just come straight home from work.

Hope all is well. I'm drinking lots of water and TTOM weight has come off.

Jeanette

Good Mornin,

Rhea,
No trials before the Holidays? Lucky you. Sounds like you had a great time in Reno. Good. I also love San Fran and their homemade sour dough bread. I take a culture home with me every time I visit there.

Karen Kay,
I can hardly wait for my new DVD's! Everyone seems to like them. (of course) Thank you for the sweet compliment.

Jeanette,
I worked on my book for 8 hrs yesterday. It was a great start! Got lots done. Sounds like you are doing very well on your daily workouts. Good for you!

I'm still catching up with my workouts and soon I'll be where I should be before we left for the trip. It takes time.

Good news! My daughter and grandson moved from Oklahoma back to Washington State. They are now only about an hour and a half away from me. I can now breath a sigh of relief. She has been gone about eight years. I said a rosary (prayers) and thanked whoever was responsible for getting them back home and in my life again. Oh happy days! And we all will have a great Christmas!

Janie

Good morning!

Looks like I read yesterday and didn't get to post. Oh yeah, it was Tuesday. Busy court day.

I managed to get in Christi Taylor's Solid Gold Cardio yesterday. I was really fighting the urge to be lazy and take a day off, but I did it despite all the arguing! lol

I'm going to try and get in 4DS HIS today. I love the new series, but hate having all that set up with the weights. I have an extra workout with lugging the weights from the back room (and I like to challenge with the heavier weights.)

Have a great day everyone!

Good Afternoon!:)

I don't know what happened yesterday -- I actually did post. Hmmm....

Anyway, it was LIS on Tuesday and Boot Camp today -- I really like this new series, the step is challenging and a bit different from what Cathe usually does. And Boot Camp is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Janie, you are just going to love them.

Tomorrow is supposed to be Kick Box -- I'm going to have to watch it with my hip -- I tend to kick out my hip on Kick Box -- I'll just have to take it a little easy, I think.

Jeanette, Georgie is doing really well -- Janie, Georgie is a stray kitten I found here and adopted -- he was a baby when I found him and was pretty sick at first -- but he's doing well now.

Anyway, Jeanette -- I'll be here another few months, I think -- hopefully not more than that -- I won't be touring with my March book -- first time I haven't toured with a book -- but again, I'm hoping this is the only time that will happen. How was the Ab Ripper last night? Or is that tonight?

Janie, 8 hours of work on your book. Wow! I know what you mean, though, after being away for so long, sometimes you just gotta put in the time. Am so glad that your daughter and grandson have moved back so that they are close. Makes a difference. I know. I have a daughter who lives across the country from me -- that's hard.

Rhea, ugh, court yesterday. Maybe you did post -- mine didn't show up here for some reason. Yeah, I love the new series, too, and don't even mind setting up and taking down the equipment -- but I think that if I had a shoulder injury, it would bother me. Maybe you could do it without all the setup. It's such a great workout.

Well, I'm off to mail a package to my mother-in-law -- have a great rest of the day, everyone!:7

Morning,
Bringing this thread back to Page 1. Today was Shiva Rea's Yoga Shakti matrix. It's a beautiful yoga DVD that you program yourself (very, very, very easy to do). Love this one. Last night I had a bike spin session with the Garage Boys and then came home and did my Ab Ripper X.

Karen, I read your post last night and it reminded me that I had to do AbRipper X. I had almost forgotten. Be careful with those kicks today. Is it the side or back ones that get you? Oh, a few more months. Don't know how you do it, except you are mentally very tough. I'd be crying to come home after a week.

Janie, that's great having your family near you again. I'm fortunate that most of mine are nearby. DS will be here tomorrow night to visit. My folks also live about 3 miles from me. What workouts are you doing?

Rhea, hope the shoulder is getting better each day. How many times a week do you go to PT? I love Christi's Solid Gold workouts.

Got to go now,

Jeanette

Good morning!

Jeanette - supposed to go twice a week, but with the holidays and court, I've been having trouble getting there. I do some exercises at home (well, I'm supposed to, but haven't been real good lately) I actually hurt it at bit yesterday putting my tires and rims back up in the garage. Those things were heavy. I have a massage today though with the therapist that does accu-pressure, so I'll get it worked out pretty well.

I love Christi's cueing. It always takes me a bit to adjust back to everyone else's cueing after doing Chrisit's workouts for a while. She is so good at cueing one step ahead instead of instantly.

Karen - I can't believe you can stay away from home so long. I'm so glad you have Georgie to keep you company. I'd miss all my animals.

Janie - it is great that everyone has moved closer to you. ARe you doing a certain rotation to get back "into" it? We're headed off to San Fran this weekend. I can't wait.

Okay, yesterday I did the 4DS HIS circuit (one of the premixes) It was very fun and I got the third combo! Yippeee!! Actually, once it "clicks", it flows so easily and you'll wonder why you couldn't get it before.

Well, I won't be in the office tomorrow, so no posts. Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Evening!:)

My computer at home is working better now so that means I'll probably be posting more in the evening than the afternoon -- when I have to use the library's computer.

Let's see it was 4DS-Kick Box -- that's a good workout -- you know it's the side kicks -- as long as I don't kick, but just get into position like I'm going to, it works out okay -- also I noticed that in this DVD, Cathe really warms you up good. But I did take it easy and don't feel the hip out right now -- knock on wood.

Jeanette, your spin sounds fun and am glad you got the Abs in there, as well.:) That yoga workout sounds good -- it's easy, you say? I might have a look at that one. Did you get your tree up and the decorations up? It's tough being gone like this -- I'm glad I have Gorgie, as well and doubly glad that Paul is coming here soon.

Rhea, I sure don't like being gone -- I do worry about the animals at home and worry about my plants and that sort of thing, as well. But I know the guys are taking care of things -- I ask them about it everyday. Hope that massage got that shoulder doing better. I know what it's like to have an injury and then do something you'd normally do, and it goes out again. Not fun. Hope that your court dates don't stress you too much before the holiday!

Janie, did you get any more writing in today. You inspired me and I got 7 pages written today -- which is a good day for me.

Well have a super day tomorrow and great workouts everyone!:7

Morning,
Today was a premix from Butts & Guts for Legs (done twice), alternating every 2 leg exercises with lat pulldowns on the Bowflex (subbed Legs & Back from P90X). This was an awesome workout.

Rhea, where are our DH's when we need something put away? Hope the lifting didn't set you back. Great job on getting that combo in HIS. I will probably have to learn the whole thing all over again as it's been a little while. Enjoy San Fran this weekend!

Karen, hoping your hip is still okay today. Have you done any yoga? I really think that yoga would help you a lot. I'm the most inflexible person around and it helps me. I just do the best I can. Bryan Kest says that if you can feel a stretch, then it's working. We don't have to contort to get the benefits of it. Such a blessing that you have Georgie for company. Hope you get lots of writing done. Do you have a class during the day?

Hi Janie!

Have a great weekend everyone,

Jeanette

Mornin Everyone,

Rhea,
Sounds like your w/o's are doing great. Good for you!

Karen Kay,
I thought I posted also, Hmmm is right! You make me want my new DVD's right now. Can hardly wait for them! One of my kitties is a stray also; a long story. Just proud of you for helping and saving an animal. I've been writing 8 hrs a day, just like having a job.

Netta,
I love Shiva Marix yoga. I pull this one out of my collections most of the time.

Jeanette,
You are so strong! Doing B&G twice? WOW! I'm impressed.

I've been doing a menagerie of w/o's and trying hard to catch up with what I was doing before I left for our trip. Although I didn't gain but maybe a couple of pounds, I did lose muscle. But I guess it's the price to pay for not choosing to continue with weight training. Since I've been home, the weight training, circuits, cardio, and yoga are coming along just fine. Hard work, that pays dividends.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Janie

Good Evening!:)

Well, let's see. Today it was IMAX1 8 intervals -- always a good workout -- and boy, do you work on that one. I do like IMAX2 better than the origianl one, but IMAX1 is still good.

Georgie is doing really well, I'm glad to say and I hope that we'll have a great Christmas. 6 days until Paul comes -- and counting...

Jeanette, boy, that is so creative putting together the Butts and Guts and the bowflex for a super workout -- very original -- I can't seem to think like that -- guess I don't understand the workouts enough to put that together. Well done!

No, I'm only doing the course in the evenings and then working during the day -- there's an awful lot of work to do, I'm afraid. Yes, I think the yoga would help the flexibility -- I'm so not flexible.

Janie, again you are inspiring to me -- working 8 hours today -- let's see, I wrote 6 pages today, which is pretty good for me. If I can do that 5-6 days a week, before too much time has elasped, the book should be written. You'll soon be back in the shape you were in before you left, Janie. : )

Rhea, hope all is well with you and that you have a terrific weekend.

Tomorrow I plan Circuit Max -- sort of to go with IMAX1.

Have a great weekend, everyone and some terrific workouts.:7

Good Evening!:)

It's been a good weekend for me, got some work done, which is always good. Hope that you all have had a super weekend.

But it's time now to figure out next week's rotation -- last week I did the 4 day split with some add ons -- love these new workouts. This week I'll go back to my regular type of workout schedule and keep alternating it -- hopefully, this will shock the muscle well enough.

Here goes:

Monday -- IMAX 2

Tuesday -- Muscle Max

Wednesday -- short cardio from Cardio Hits and a stretch

Thursday -- Cardio & Weights

Friday -- Cardio section from Boot Camp from 4 day split

Saturday -- Bootcamp from the Intensity series

Sunday -- off

Hubby comes on Thursday eve so Friday's workout will be short. I might be up late that night. ;)

Have a super day and great workouts!:7

Morning,
Today was Bryan Kest Power Yoga - Tone. Good little yoga workout. I'm still feeling the heat. This is my recovery week for my P90X Lean Rotation. Will walk at work if it's not too nasty today. Got a little shopping in this weekend, bike ride yesterday and golf.

Karen, bet you are excited to see your hubby and vice versa for him! I'm usually not too creative on workouts, but P90X called for Legs and Back in one session. Good job on Imax1. Don't think I told you, but I received Imax3 from someone and loved the first 5 intervals of it (that's all I did). I just modified the jumping.

Janie, hoping you get your new DVD's soon. I love Shiva's Yoga Shakti. Will someday get her other workouts too. B&G 2X was just the standing portion twice. You'll be back in form soon. Nice that you only gained a couple.

Rhea, hope San Francisco was magical for you!

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Let's see -- it was IMAX2 for me today -- love that workout -- and for some reason, I was really into it today, raising my knees high and everything -- unlike Saturday, when I could barely drag myself through the workout.x(

Also got some good writing in today and some chores and things.

Jeanette, by recovery week, what does that mean? That you just take it easy most of the week through? Oh, you got IMAX3 from someone -- I didn't know you didn't have it. Boy, where have I been? Okay, so just so you know, interval 10 is my most favorite interval of all the IMAX's. I love the music, I love the step routine -- I just love that interval and interval 9 is okay, as well. So when you have a chance to do the other 5 intervals...

Can't wait to see my hubby, though I would like to take off a pound or two before he arrives.;)

Rhea, that's right -- you went to San Francisco, didn't you. How was it?

Janie, how's that writing going, and do you have the new DVD set yet? You're gonna love them.

Well, have a super day tomorrow and have some great workouts!:7

Morning,
Today was LIS step only. I'm a little droopy this morning, think I'm fighting off a cold. Don't want that to happen during the holidays. My sister is coming up from Atascadero. Can't wait to see her.

Karen, I had never been interested in Imax3 before due to the claims of the impact. I just modified when I did it. I like the music and the choreo of the 1st 5 intervals that I did. Glad that you had high energy for Imax2. Isn't that a great workout?

Hi to Janie & Rhea,

Jeanette

Mornin everyone,

There is so much to do before Christmas and New Years.

Birthday on the 22nd
Christmas on the 24th and will be hosting at my sons house
New Years Eve party at my house
Birthday on the 5th

Karen Kay,
Got my DVD's! Oh my! I'll start these on Jan.1st. YEAH! The writing once again will he held off until after Jan. 5th, but I'm loving what I do and know I will get it done hopefully y the end of Spring. I did get a good start on it though. Continue to enjoy your workouts. You are doing such a great job.

Jeanette,
Hope you get lots of rest and snap that cold right out of yous. Enjoy your sister from Atascadero. Where is that?

Have a wonderful Holiday season everyone. Be kind and patient, know there is a lot of emotions flying this time of year.

Well, off to do some shopping. It will take me a very long time today, I want it all done so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Janie

Good Evening!:)

Today was ME -- the premix actually, as I was short on time -- but I don't know why I was short on time because I haven't gotten all that much done today. Hmmmm... But it's been a good day anyway.

Jeanette, am so pleased to see that your sister is coming. I, too, hope that you aren't getting a cold. Colostrum (mother's milk - cows)might help to get rid of it (helps the immune system) if you would like. I do like LIS -- probably a bit more than HIS if only because the routine on HIS is a little tough.

Janie, the rest of your month sounds wonderful, darlin'. I wish it were mine, but not this year. Have a fun time. I love this time of year, as well -- I love all there is about it -- shopping, cleaning, decorating, seeing old friends. Sounds like you really have your schedule all planned out. I usually don't get much done at this time of year, either. So enjoy!

Hi Rhea! Hope all is well with you!

Well, have a super day tomorrow and have a great time in this season and these few days before Christmas.:7

Good morning,
Today was Cathe's new KB workout. I was looking for a shorter workout today (rotation called for KenpoX) as I'm still droopy from whatever cold or bug is trying to get me. Stomach feels better this morning.

Janie, you sure have some great events coming up. No doubt you will be able to pull it all off. If I remember right, you are writing about soap or candles? I posted to you on Open Discussion re: the itchy underarms. Karen may have more advice. Atascadero is about due south east of Hearst Castle. It's located on Hwy. 101, between San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. Bet you will enjoy your grandson!

Karen, I think the premixes are great for when we are busy or just want less intensity. I'm using those more and more too. I'll have to check out the colostrum at the health food store. Does it come powdered? Bet you are getting excited about your DH coming. How long will he get to stay?

Rhea, still in San Fran?

Later,

Jeanette

Jeanette,

Girl, you have a great memory! I'm writing about soap, it is a very unusual book, hopefully it will get attention. I did post back and trying out the crystals. I can't believe how small our world can be. I was just there near Atascadero! Is your sister here yet?

Karen Kay,
To keep you (and others up to par) I have itchy underarms. I've had it about 2 years now, and would like to have some kind of relief between now and New Years. I'll see a doctor at that time. I have no rashes, or blemishes, I don't use deodorant, and I don't shave. Jeanette mentioned on my post in the OD forum that you gave her advice about crystal deodorant stones. I'm trying that now, but it has only been one day, and I still itch. I think I need to be patient.

If anyone has other suggestions, it would be appreciated.

Take care everyone,

Janie
