KK's April Check In

Netta

Cathlete
Hi all!
Today was High Step Challenge timesaver 51 minutes. Good workout. Yesterday was a bike ride and golf. Then yardwork. I will be going to North Carolina for a week so won't be checking in here. Will actually be meeting 5 other gals from the Xers checkin! I'm pretty excited.

Janie, hope you are having a good time on your trip.

Rhea, how's that tiling? All done?

Karen, glad you got the writing in. Imax2 is so good. I need to pull that one out sometime. I really like Amy Bento's step too. Keeps my mind working.

Have a great week, I'll be back next Tuesday.

Jeanette

Good Evening!:)

Took the day off today. Tuesday is beginning to be a food day for me -- I pick up food from a local farmer her and then have to do other things with it -- but I got some writing in anyway -- only 2 pages, but I didn't even think I'd get that.

So tomorrow I plan 4DS HIS.

Jeanette, I really need to explore Amy Bento's workouts also. Georgie keeps trying to help me type, so I'm having a bit of a hard time posting tonight.;) HSC Timesaver is one of my favorite workouts.

Have a great time, Jeanette. I will miss you!

Hi Rhea! Hi Janie!

Have a super day everyone and some terrific workouts!:7

Good evening!

Thought I;d pop in and say hi!

Been busy with the house. Looks like everyone is off on trips except you Karen! Is the writing getting any better?

I didn't work out during the last week. Realized today when I put on my HR monitor that I haven't worked out since the 20th. Oops. But I was back on the bandwagon today and did Turbo Jam #1. I'll probably do a Cathe step tomorrow, LIS or HIS. I can't wait for some more time to workout. Still have some tiling left to do and some trials coming up. So no rest for the weary.

How's that Georgie doing? The weather is nicer here so my two younger ones have decided that rolling in the dirt is just heaven. They're filthy. I wonder why they think it is so grand to roll in the dirt. Even the dogs are rolling on the grass today. Spring is in the air and there sure are a lot of weeds. Eek. I wonder when I'll even be able to tackle weeds, let alone plant some sort of garden.

Well, back to cooking dinner. Have a great evening!

Hope everyone's travels were safe and worry free.

Good Evening!:)

Hi Rhea -- it's great to talk to you again -- I've missed you on the forms. I bet that bathroom and entryway are beautiful! And you did it all yourself.

The book isn't going as well as I would like -- 2 pages yesterday and 3 today. That must change. I have 200 pages to write. So I have to concentrate -- which is hard while I'm here and away from home -- but I must do it.

Georgie is the apple of my eye. He's getting older and wanting to go out,but I'm in a motel room -- and so it's not real easy for him to do that. At night I take him out on the balcony and let him romp around a little. Don't you just love these animals?

Weeds -- oh, how I wish I were home -- I'm getting close to being done here -- I'm beginning to see the daylight in the tunnel.

Today was cardio only from 4DS Bootcamp and tomorrow I plan on doing HIS complete. And much writing.

Nice talking with you, Rhea -- yeah, Jeanette and Janie are gone on trips at the moment.

Have a super day!:7

Howdy!

Gee, it's kinda lonely on the forum right now -- but I know that Jeanette and Janie on away from home.

So let's see. Today was 4DS HIS -- good workout -- didn't get to it until this afternoon as I woke up feeling really tired. Am going to try to get to bed early tonight. Page count was only 5. Deep sigh. Gotta do better than that.

Have a super day! :7

Hmm, I could've sworn that I posted yesterday? I guess not..oh well.

Hi Karen! Looks like you are hanging in there. Did you do the entire HIS? That is a fun one, even though that 3rd section is tough. I did the cardio only of the 4DS LIS. I love that step routine, it is so fun. I don't think I'll be able to get in a workout until Sunday. Today I have appointments all over the place and tomorrow we're traveling up toward Klamath Falls for DH to interview for a job. I sure hope it doesn't rain. I'd like to have some nice clear weather for traveling.

Well, I had better get cracking on my own writing. These past few days have been short on my "page" count! Of course, if I could make up my mind which direction my argument is going to be, then I probably could get it done faster. Goal today is to try and finish the motion I've started and maybe get the other one at least a bit put together.

Have a great day!

Hi Rhea & Good Evening!:)

Yeah, I did all of HIS yesterday and all of HIS today. I really like both workouts -- HIS is a little long for me, but I still did it -- and it's true that the 3rd section of HIS is tough -- still trying to get that footwork down.

Hope you got in your page count as well. I'd never thought about that before, but I bet you do have page counts, as well as practicing what you're going to say in court, I would think. Today was better -- 12 pages -- am hoping that I get 10 each day this weekend. Deep sigh.

Sounds like you have a great weekend planned -- hope your husband does well with his interview and that it doesn't rain. ;)

Have a super weekend, everyone!:7

Good Evening!:)

Well, I didn't exercise or do anything besides write today -- from about 10AM to 10PM -- eating inbetween -- just paused now and again to eat -- it was raining out today so it seemed a perfect day to do this. Got 18 pages done -- I figure that's about 1 1/2 pages per hour. Have so much more to do. Didn't get to exercising due to the fact that I just wrote all day.

Yesterday it was 4DS Boot Camp and today was supposed to be 4DS Kickbox -- but I never got to it -- didn't shower, didn't get up -- just wrote -- I'm afraid that's the way this month is probably going to be for me.x(

So here's the plan workout wise for the upcoming week:

Mon: 4DS Kickbox
Tues: IMAX3
Wed: Muscle Max -- probably a premix
Thurs:Cardio & Stretch
Fri: HSC -- probably again a premix
Sat: Drill Max -- cardio only premix -- the 46 minute one
Sun: HST
Mon: Day off -- we'll see -- I might need another day off in there somewhere -- maybe on blog day -- Tuesday.

Am shooting for 10 pages a day, each and every day. Have a super day everyone.:7

Good morning!

Wow Karen, way to go on the pages! Rainy days do call for pj writing. I've been stuck with those types of days, can't exercise since everything else must be done. I had one of those yesterday too. But mine was working with the plumber (I had things to do between certain phases...for example, when he was done cutting out the plumbing in the floor, I had to figure out a way to cover up the holes with the grout and tile. Interesting delihemma (sp? I know that is not right). I had the tile cutouts for the holes, but how to get them to stay without dropping to the basement. I ended up have the plumber stuff some insulation in the holes and then tiling over it. Not very sturdy, but it is below the vanity, so I'm trying not to care.

Anyhoo, interview was okay. DH didn't get that job, but after seeing the seedy little town, that's okay. Think Deliverance, but in the mountains instead of the south. I worked on the computer until my battery went out while he interviewed. The battery on this laptop sure does not last long. I might go with DH to his Redding class on Saturday and take it again. I'll park myself at the Barnes and Noble though where I should be able to plug in.

Well, I had better stop procrastinating and get to work.

Have a great day!!

Good Evening!:)

Rhea, my goodness, what a day you had! You and the plumber -- your posts are often so humorous, I find myself smiling -- sometimes laughing outloud. I can just imagine you and the plumber. Sounds like it was a good thing that your DH didn't get the job. I sort grew up in one of those Deliverance kinds of towns -- not quite as bad as Deliverance, by any means, but in some ways...

One of my daughter's favorite things to do is to go to B & N and plug in and work. Very pleasurable for her. I'm still on dial-up and so I'm not in the plug in stage yet.

It was 4DS Kickbox for me today. That's a terrific workout, but then I am such a Cathe fan. I've really seen results with Cathe -- of course I saw results with the FIRM as well, but I had trouble with injuries with the FIRM and don't with Cathe -- I think it's why I do almost her workouts exclusively.

It was 7 pages today, but I was doing other things today, as well. It's late so I'm going to sign off for now.

Hi Jeanette and Janie!

Have a super day tomorrow and some terrific workouts!:7

Hi ladies,
I got back to California yesterday. Had a really nice time with the ladies from my other checkin. There were 5 of us altogether. North Carolina was beautiful!

Yesterday was a bike ride around our local loop, with a hill or two thrown in. Today was GS Legs standing work and abs from LIC.

Karen, good on the 7 pages today. Do you like writing about this tribe of Native Americans? Know it was different for you.

Rhea, bet the tile looks nice. I'd love to start a project, but DH is working on painting trim on the house now. I don't want to overwhelm him and want him to keep on with the one he's got. He's great at starting them, not so good at finishing.

Janie, you still on vacation?

Jeanette

Hi Ladies,

It's so good to be back home! I put out fires everyday that I was there. So many problems came about, but everything turned out good. I didn't get to see my mom, but perhaps next time.

KK, lots of pages are being written! Good for you!

Jeanette, Step Challenge, Yikes! Great job! Is the weather your way good for riding and golfing already? You are so lucky. The weather here and East of the mountains, was snow, hail, a chill cold to the bones and wind.

Rhea, hope all is well with the plumbing and tiling. I bet the project is beautiful.

Today my back hurts; I guess from driving a long way home. Joe and I will be doing Tony Horton, legs.

After that, I'll be writing my book and trying very hard to get back into it. I have a lot to do in putting it together. Just need to keep at it.

Missed you all,

Janie

Good Evening!:)

Wow, Jeanette, did you go to Cathe's in NC? Is that where you went? If so, wow! And if you did, what was it like? I bet you had a blast with the people from the other forum. That's a big forum and I bet it was just great!

Sounds like you're staying right on track! Yes, I do like this tribe. It's just that I'm not as familiar with it -- so it's taking alot of study for me.

Janie, good for you for putting out those fires. Can't have been fun, but am so glad that it all came out well. And you'll be back into things as though you weren't even gone, I'm sure.

Hi Rhea! Hope all is well with you.

It was IMAX3 for me today -- 8 intervals and I plan on Muscle Max tomorrow and it was 5 pages today. Hopefully I'll get that back up to 7 tomorrow.

Have a super day everyone and some great workouts!:7

Hi all,
Got up but didn't work out this morning as sleeping in a bit more was needed. I plan on a bike ride tonite.

Karen, Cathe's gym is in New Jersey I believe. I met up with others from our check in in North Carolina at one of the gal's house. There were 5 of us that got together. Soooo fun!

Rhea, are you still cleaning up grout?

Janie, our weather should be improving this week. Think it's supposed to be around 70 by the weekend. Yesterday was windy and not so nice. It will be good for you to get back to the writing.

Jeanette

Good morning!

Welcome back for your respective "vacations" Janie and Jeanette. Glad to have you back. I wasn't very good company for Karen while you were gone....not enough computer time, too much other stuff.

Yesterday I managed to squeeze in the TJ 20 minutes. Today I'm hoping to get an extended sweat in with Christ Taylor (cardio collectibles, one of my favs)

I think I'm going to take my work computer home with me today and try to work from there. I have to wait for my linen closets to arrive and so I can't workout, but at least I can do regular work.

Yesterday I managed to get a great deal for one of my trials and so one trial is gone. Also won my latest motion, a due process motion and so that case was dismissed. I still have two motion due by the 15th and another on the 22nd, but with the trial gone I have much more breathing room.

How's your writing going Karen? It is so tough to sit at a computer and write when there are so many other things to be done. Especially with the weather being the way it is, beautiful.

Well, back to work (hmm, I accidentally typed workout first, I guess my body wants to workout instead of work here at the computer. Funny how that is!!)

Have a great day everyone!

Good Evening!:)

I didn't workout today, either. Was so busy with other things that I finally decided that this would be my day off. Still managed to write 3 pages, but even that was tough. So tomorrow I get back onto my schedule.

Jeanette, that does sound like alot of fun. Wow! To go on vacation and actually meet the people that you talk to everyday on the forums. I bet it was a blast.

Rhea, that's wonderful! Congrats on the grea deal and the motion that you won. Well Done! And you exercised, too. Wonderful!

Janie, hope you're getting back into things and that things are going great!

Have a really super day, everyone and some terrific workouts!:7

Good morning,
Did a bike climb after work yesterday. Was hard because I fought the wind before even getting to the hill. Had sore legs still from GS Legs the day before. Today was Supersets upper body premix, then supermans and abs from Push/Pull.

Karen, sorry you've got so much to do each day. You'll get there though. North Carolina retreat was awesome!!!

Rhea, good job on your work stuff! Today the golf course opens (officially). Wonder what the rates will be.

Jeanette

Good morning ladies,

KK, How long have you been writing and publishing books. You are truly a writer. My book is still going to be a while yet before I can put it all together. During my research I keep finding things to add and well that's my problem, it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. There really is a light at the end of the tunnel though. I guess that's what research is about, there are things I'm learning and will make the book exceptional if I do add these things to it. This is an incredible experience.

Jeanette, Our weather should be near 50 degrees today with showers. No bike ride for me today. I've been working on my book all day. Great to be doing it again. So much more do do.

Rhea, A linen closet! Oh, how nice. I love that kind of furniture. Glad to hear you have more breathing room from work. North Carolina retreat sounds like a lot of fun. You deserved it. What all did you do?

I haven't worked out since I've been home due to a back ache. Today Joe and I will do legs from P90X. That should jump start us along.

Take care everyone and have great workouts,

Janie

Good morning!

Well, I waited and waited and waited for the furniture delivery and about 3:00 found out that it had been put on the delivery truck, so I get to wait again tomorrow. At least my computer at work is now a laptop and I can take it home with me (like I really got a lot done....laundry, played with my new Steam Shark mop, fell asleep while reading some cases!) But I have those motions due, so I'm a bit motivated. I think I can clear one out today. I just have to stop being a perfectionist.

Because of the wait time, my workout ended up being shortened. Did not eat enough food yesterday to do that entire workout. So I only did the step portion. My HR monitor froze, so I have to go get that fixed today. Another busy day in Paradise. DH wants so bad to get out of the education system here, I guess I'll be moving someplace for the rest of my career and then we will be back at our house here and/or Chester for retirement. I am supposed to be here for another year and wherever DH is, I'll start planning on moving down. But he keeps changing his mind. But every interview he gets so excited about. I'm trying to be patient, but the nerves are getting a bit frayed.

Anyhoo, this weekend is supposed to be grand weatherwise. I can't wait!!

Have great workouts today! I'm not sure what I'll be doing yet. Will depend on the amount of time I have between work and sorority meeting tonight.

Good Evening!:)

It was Muscle Max for me today. It's so odd because my schedule varies every day -- didn't get this done until 5-6PM today. But at least I got it in. It was 8 pages today. My editor is giving me a litle more time to get the book done, but I have to get it done on time anyway, because my whole schedule here is built around that deadline. AS soon as I'm done, I plan to go onto course full time, finsh and get my little behind home.;-) So I'll be working as if I don't have that extra time from my editor.

Janie, I've been writing since 1993 -- my first book was published in 1994. So I guess that's about 15 years now. The book business has changed so completely since I started, and not much of it for the better, I must admit. It's harder now, I think, to get published by a big time publisher than it was in 1993. My opinion, but I just think the market has shrunk a bit and we're all fighting it.

Good for you for getting in your P90X

Jeanette, yeah, I feel for you on the bike ride. It definitely uses muscles I don't ordinarily use. And having just done all those leg exercises. Oh, how I love Supersets, though. It'll probably be in a future rotation now. ;)

Rhea, okay first question is what is a steam-shark mop. Sounds kinda scary. Reminds me of the old "land shark" jokes from Sat. Night live long ago -- am I showing my age? How did the sorority meeting go? And am so glad that you had time to do things and sleep and write and read -- I love those kind of days. To tell you the truth, I go to sleep sometimes while I'm writing, too. Especially if something is giving me trouble. Often when I wake up, the problem has sorted itself out. Interesting...

Hope the furniture comes tomorrow and everyone have a really super day!:7
