A few days ago my brother told me that he will need a kidney transplant and I told him that i would do it he is 22 and I'm 20 if we match that would be great. Im eating healthy and trying to work out but since he told me the energy was drained out of me all my focus is on him. I need some advice please.......
 
No words of wisdom here, but I will keep you and your brother in my prayers. What a great gift you have offered him.

My husband has only one kidney, he was born like that. He has survived almost 70 years this way. Your brother must have only one also.

You are so brave and I admire you. Your brother is very lucky to have you. I'm sure he would also do the same for you if things were turned around, because that's what family does. You both are in my prayers. Please update us when you can. WOW!

Luis, you are a very loving and generous brother. It's only natural that your energy has been temporarily drained with this big whallop of news. Be gentle on yourself. Don't try to do more than you have emotionally inside of you right now, but do try to keep some sort of reduced, manageable program going.

I have to think that whatever hospital will be handling your and your brother's transplant will have associated resources like counseling, support groups, and perhaps even online forums much like this one where you can share your thoughts, feelings and questions. Bonding with others who are or have been in your situation can be extremely important in getting through the actual surgery and its aftermath. Maybe you and your brother together can find out about these resources.

You've given a mighty big Christmas present this season, my friend. My heart goes out to you.
