KettleWorx?

I saw him on TV this morning. I'm watching the infomercial online now. They claim to have 18 workouts, but I'm trying to figure out what they are. There appears to be one dvd for full body resistance workout, then 1 dvd for cardio, and 1 for dvd for abs. Then 3 10 minute workouts and 3 10 min. ab dvds, and in addition with the $90 package, you get 1 workout for legs and thighs, 1 for butt and hips, arms and shoulders, then 1 workout for chest and back. There is an intro workout and and a food guide, and this package comes with a 5lb. kettlebell. So I'm guessing there are multiple workouts on the cardio, resistance, and abs dvds.

There is also a $59 package without the 4 body part specific workouts and no kettlebell.

Oh just noticed, there are 2 "advanced" packages, that have advanced workouts for the resistance, cardio, and abs dvds, and you can get it with either a 10lb kb for $70 or a 20lb kb for $90, but no option to just order the advanced dvds. This package also claims to have 18 workouts.

I've had a couple of workouts by this instructor.
I don't really like him (in his first workout, he kept talking about "ripitude"
His workouts are okay: kind of between 'authentic' KB workouts and those "kettlebell-lite" workouts like the Firm.

One thing I hated: his DVD's were DVD-R (even though he claimed the second one was NOT).

Here's a link to a TV spot with the instructor, so you can judge for yourself:

It turned me off when the lady kept asking him questions (typical infomercial style ~ so much inflection in their voices it's so phoney!) but he kept repeating everything she would say and then proceed to answer the question! UGH! petty? maybe, but it drove me nuts! I couldn't watch the whole thing, and I'm thinking that these 5# KB workouts will get some OMG chuckles from some of the major KB fanatics here... but for a regular workout, I guess whatever floats your boat, but I doubt this would be considered a 'real' KB series, more along the line of The Firm KB workout and just another workout series... but that's just my 2 cents :)

Dela, step away from the credit card girl! LOL!!!

I am watching the infomercial too and see that their form is not the greatest. For example on swings they go way above the shoulder. Anthony from AOS says you should never swing above the shoulders. Just my thoughts.

Thank you for saying that Peggie. I was thinking the same thing. But I thought I was being a kb snob :p

Oh you know me all too well!!! I was all over it, until I watched the infomercial and started to break down the workouts. I agree, their form looked funny, and I like testimonials with before pics, I did not trust the people in the commercial either.

I like the Beachbody testimonials, I just watch that P90X infomercial on weekends to get me motivated for a workout! And nope, never bought P90, but certainly thought about it. :p

They're obviously not doing swings correctly, and using their arms to power the move rather than their hips/legs, and Shanahan doesn't coach them very well to correct the problem. (though the woman does get a bit better at the end).
