Love Saturdays!! I slept late, worked out, and hit a new pr!!:):)
I changed today's buy out which had me running, doing swings and burpees....didn't feel in the "burpee" mood, and I really don't like swinging with my sneakers on, so I did Nancy instead, since I kinda bailed on the OHS yesterday. I really had to drop my weight to get a good squat in.

**yesterday and today, I fixed my form: got down lower at the start, and I moved back a little from the bar. those small little things made it easier to raise the bar. I think the bar was over my foot in the wrong place before?
**new and last cycle starts on Monday. thinking of doing a step cycle and doing 5/3/2...we'll see, may be too many changes???

**cash out: used a light barbell, so I could nail the form. started with the 35#bb, but couldn't get down as far, so I switched...probably added extra time on, but oh well!;)

Good Saturday morning, my workout friends! :)

Well, all the kids' skin have almost completely cleared up. I am SO happy!

This morning I did Newport, sans matrix and the pushups, added in Providence 1LDL, tactical lunges and flip n' squats and 40 snatches on each side in 5l5r sequencing. Great workout for a Saturday morning! :)

Rhonda, don't sweat missing your workouts. I think you are an awesome, super person! Just pick it back up when you can, and we are always here for you. :D

Gayle, :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: on your cleans! I will never complain about 25# ever again. Ever! :p

Marcy, how are you feeling today after y'day's workout?

Deanie, GREAT JOB ON BEATING YOUR PR!!! That is INCREDIBLE! You can dl both of my sons at the same time - and then some - now!

Hi Everyone!

I missed a couple of days but.....I did my race this afternoon. It was a beautiful day with highs in the low 50's and a brisk wind that made it seem colder (reminded me of Chicago). The sun was out and the leaves are still changing here so it was really pretty. My ankle felt GREAT!!! I started out slow but felt good mid race. My cardio was a little lacking but my time was consistent with what I normally do so I wasn't hindered in any way. I'm so excited that my ankle is healed. I'm looking forward to getting back to working out regularly again.

I'll be back for personals later. I've got presents to wrap!! :)
 
Good Afternoon!

Last night I did 4DS Kickbox. I think I felt the best I ever did during this workout. Didn't have to take any extra breaks and my HR was really up high during the workout. This is always my go-to workout when I don't feel like using equipment but still getting a great workout. I also did a few chinups yesterday and today.

Finished decorating the house and now I'm off to go make some stuffed peppers.

With any luck, Shock Cardio will be here sometime next week. In case you didn't see, all the DVDs have gone to Sony. But I'm still looking to get Insanity.

Jane - Great job on the race! I'm happy your ankle's all better. Did it snow by you yesterday? We had our first frost yesterday morning.

Deanie ~ Congrats on the PR!!

Marcy ~ Nope. No snow by us and no frost yet. It was nice today with temps hovering around 60 and some sun.

I was at mom's most of the day but when I got home I did the following workout in the yard.

100 swings
100 pull over sit ups
75 squats
50 push ups
25 slam ball

My mom's back is much better. Tomorrow the caregiver starts. She will be coming in 3 days a week from 8-5. Mom also goes to the rehab doctor tomorrow about her back. I still feel that it is stress related though.
