KETTLEBELLS - Wed, July...??? ********

OKay, I didn't see another KB thread, so I started this one; if someone already started it and I missed it I'm sorry!

I didn't workout yesterday. When I got up and started moving, I realized I was WORN OUT, so I took a rest. I have lunch with a friend today, and will try to work out when I get home. I have to go, but I'll be back later!!!

Gayle, how was last night?

Deanie, how is that blister?

Rhonda, sending patience vibes your way, and praying that you and the in-laws will find a way to connect. :)

Hi everyone!

Melissa - Enjoy your lunch and your rest! The movie was fun. I went with a friend of mine and his daughter.

Rhonda - I'm sending you more patience vibes. ;)

Deanie - Nice workout today! How's the blister? ITA with Marcy that you should put in a plug for a DC area road show.

Waves to Marcy, Tammy, Laura and Andilynn!

I'm going to try to get in some kind of KB workout tonight. I'm running into a busy week...blech.

Good Afternoon!!

Waves hello to Marcy, Tammy, Laura and the rest of the crew!

Deanie - I haven't read any of the books, just seen the movies. My friend's 11 yo daughter filled me in all the details. :p

Jane - Daisy looks cool! What kind of weight are you using for the run?

Hey Gayle,

I will probably use a med ball or a sandbag. I tried running with a 18# kb once but it was a little hard to carry. You can tuck a med ball under your arm easier. I'll let you know how it goes.

The push ups are supposed to be weighted but I can't figure how to do that unless use have a weighted vest. Maybe
I could put the sandbag on my back and tried it that way. I'll play around and see what I can figure out.

I ended up doing PLB today after I got back from a delightful lunch.
Deanie, I took your suggestion and used a weighted vest and used handweights and kbs and WOAH! It was much easier and faster; thank you! I was also able to go heavier, too. :) After the standing work, I did a flunge and squat jump tabata... I should sleep well tonight. ;]

Gayle, I am going to see Harry Potter with the girl I had lunch with this afternoon. She has convinced me that I need to read the series and catch up on the movies because it is sooooo worth it. I need something to read for escape now that Twilight is done. :p

Jane, I tried running with a weighted vest and it did it's job, only the one I have wasn't stable so my shoulders took a beating, and then my neck got stiff. I would really like Cathe's vest, it looks MUCH more comfortable!

Hey there Marcy, Rhonda, Tammy and Laura!

Have a great evening all! will see you later. :)

Melissa

Hi Ladies!

I did Firm It Up today (mainly legs and a little abs). Used 3# ankle weights instead of 2# and really felt the difference. Also did 2 pullups and 2 chinups and did a short run.

Melissa - Flunge? That's a new one for me. What is it?

Jane - How much weight do you run with?

Deanie - Great job on the deadlifts!

Gayle - Hope you get a workout in!

Waves to Tammy, Laura, Rhonda & Andilynn!

Marcy

Marcy, flunge is Barry's special word for flying lunge jumps, or f#$$ing lunges as others may call it (but never me, of course ;]). They are a joy - right up there with plie jumps. :)
