Good Morning

I hope you all had a nice weekend. We did!:)
Still no workout for me :(:( I don't know what I did, but I'm still not 100%! My goal is to be better by Thursday, I want to end the year on a good note!

Hi everyone. I am having a good time with the family and enjoying the baby. I probably won't workout until Wednesday or Thursday.

No workout for me today either (or yesterday for that matter). We had to take dad to the hospital on Saturday evening (by ambulance) because he had a fever and was not responsive. He is fine and will be going home tomorrow. Apparently the fevers are part of dementia. They are going to remove all his tubes today and try to get him up and walking. If he can't walk we will probably be getting a hospital bed and then care for him will change again. Right now it's all up in the air.

Actually we have been doing really well through this process. My mom has been amazing, first with the sewer issues on Christmas and then this. She hasn't lost it once.

I just found out that his regular doctor did not think it was necessary for hospice yet. I think because you can't really determine a time frame like you can for cancer. However, the physician that was on call for my dad's regular doctor recommended hospice so my mom and sister are meeting with them this morning. This will make things a little easier for us.
 
Good Morning!

I did the warmup and one side of combo 1 last night of MMA Kickbox before DH woke up and then I had to stop. This morning I did Pure Barre Pershing Square 2 and then did the rest of MMA Kickbox. From reading everyone's reviews, it seemed like it wasn't intense for most people so I used 1# hand weights and they seemed to provide enough intensity to give me a good workout. MMA Fusion seemed a little more intense. MMA Kickbox also had great core moves as well. MMA Kickbox had lots of different moves that Cathe hasn't done. It felt a little more choreographed (kind of like Amy Bento is with her kickboxing). I thought Cathe cued well and I was able to pick up everything the first time. The core moves were weighted and the last move (a pushup to a plank where you tuck in your leg to opposite side of your body) really got my HR up. MMA Kickbox has three combos and three drills. I didn't think the drills in Kickbox were as intense as the ones in MMA Fusion. Kickbox is another winner for me. So far, three out of three.

Yesterday was spent clothes shopping. Got a pair of jeans, off-white cowl-neck sweater, sweatsuit, yoga pants, a black turtleneck and a tan suede jacket.

Deanie - Melissa sounds like she gave you some great tips. I agree with DH - it's best to take a rest! Between the rest and Melissa's tips, I'm sure you'll have a great Week 12! I cried!
