Today I was back into the swing of things with PTTP. deadlifted 135# for my first set today, not so easy on a monday mornning, but I didn't hit failure so I'm moving on:) this may be my last week on a wave cycle, may move to a different cycle when I hit 145#...

Buy-in

  • Dynamic warm-up drills
  • Figure out roughly 50 feet (about 15 meters)
  • Perform each drill up and back (except the last)
  • Walking on heels
  • Walking on toes
  • High knees (jogging, pick your knee up high with each step)
  • Butt kicks (jogging, kick yourself in the butt with each step)
  • Side shuffle
  • Skip forwards
  • Skip backwards
  • Inchworms with push-up x 5

  • Set 1: 3-5 reps 5@135#
  • Set 2: 90% of Set 1, 3-5 reps 5@120#

  • Set 2: 90% of Set 1, 3-5 reps 5@50#

  • Run an easy 400m treadmill @ 4.0
  • Run a max effort 400m treadmill @ 9.0
  • TIME: 1:37 - a new pr!!:)....askeered now for later in the week!!:eek: (see below!)

Oh how I missed you ladies! I did Low Max this morning. I have been busy with school. I took my state exam this past Saturday. I don't know how I did. I can always retake in Feb.

Jane::: Enjoy your rest day:)...later this week I have to run 400M and do thrusters- the amount is the # over my pr running time today!! since I ran at 9.0 today, and I probably won't later this week, I am worried about how many thrusters I will be doing!!

Good Afternoon!

I did Lauren's 12 minute workout this morning:

I started with the Joint Mobility warmup
front squats/2-handed swings - 25#
pushups/squat thrusts
Deadlifts/Mountain Climbers (did deadlifts on step) - 25#
Clean, Squat & Press 5x each side - 25#
One-Arm Rows - 30# 8x each side - 25#
Hi-Pull, Catch & Squat - 25#
Alternating Cleans - 25#
Alternating Swings - 25#
Overhead Swings - 25#
Plank - 30 Seconds; Russian Twists 30 Seconds with 20#

I also did the 40 minute practice from Adrienne Reed's Power Yoga for Ultimate Flexibility. Another great practice! Two of the tougher moves were walking back and forth in a backbend and going from inverted splits to seated splits. I think I might have attempted this arm balance:

Marcy::: OMG!!!! what a pose!! It took me a minute to even figure out where her leg was!!! even an attempt gets a: You go girl!!!:):):) thanks for the two step video, looks like fun!
