Today I did the second practice from Deb Dobbins' Spirit of Vinyasa Flow. No arm balances or inversions today. Just lots of great hip openers and some good shoulder openers too. Did great on my big toe balances today and standing and floor splits. Will be going to salsa class tonight.
I just got Tone It Up today and will be getting Firm it Up in a few days from Slim Series so I will probably do a Slim Series rotation for August and then maybe get back to doing a few kettlebell workouts.
Farmer - It's a deal. I'll do Drill Max tomorrow. Love seeing you in color!
Today I did 3 rounds of The Pinnacle from AOS Clinic volume 1. I felt like I needed to work on form (especially snatches)and this was a help. I had trouble with my hands getting sweaty and the KB slipping. I also did a round of CS. I think that I am maintaing my weight but when school starts I will get serious about cleaning up my diet.
Deanie and Gayle- Hope you have a productive day.
Marcy- I am going to sub swings for that hopping and jumping round.
Waves to everyone. Going to clean the house now. I have ADD so I will probably get distracted and not accomplish much.
Last night's workout was HARD!! It was so hot and humid that they kb was slipping out of my hands. I had to stop every once in a while to wipe them off.
Here is today's workout. I got this from Mountain Athlete. I think it is just one portion of their workout.
Jump Rope (100, 90, 80, etc.) Weighted Sit up KB Push Press KB Squat Scotty Bob (1 Scotty Bob = Push up + Renegade Row + Push up + Renegade Row)
Gayle ~ I actually have a workout that I made up called "Crazy Jane's I'm in Pain Workout"! I'll have to find it an post it.
Rhonda ~ I am serious about running being hard for me. I'm not built like a runner. I love a challenge though and running for me is all about challenging myself. My Superwoman costume is ripped and torn in many places.
Jane - Was the workout hard for you only because of the heat and humidity or hard period? I definitely think you're Superwoman either way!
Rhonda - I assume you're talking about Drill 5. I was also going to substitute - will probably do some Turkish Get-Ups. Haven't done them in awhile and since DM doesn't have abs, I'll get them in this way.
Marcy - It was hard either way but the heat drains your energy. Fifty reps are fifty reps and it seemed like it took forever on those deadlift. The kb handle on the figure 8's were really bad. I could only do about 10 or so and then I had to stop and wipe my hands.
So far I have managed to cut up a melon, do a load of laundry, and watch an episode of "The Cleaner". Too bad that show is about addictions and not actual house cleaning. I was wearing my HRM when I watched the show and my heart rate was elevated the whole time. I enjoy the show but it is really intense.
Marcy- Yes- Drill 5. I couldn't remember which one it was.
Jane- at your comment about your costume.
Off again to ATTEMPT to focus on cleaning at least one room.
I had wanted to try AOS Diva this morning, but I want to pick up a Gymboss first. I ended up doing AOS Providence, although I skipped a few rounds, I did increase my weights. With the increased weight I was not able to do each round the entire time alotted, but I definitely felt it!!!
Farmer ~ Good job on working on your form. I so wish there was someone certified around me as I'm sure my form needs some help!!
Lioness ~ YOWZERS girl!!
Marcy ~ Great job with the yoga, so important to balance things out.
Gayle ~ sounds like a great workout, short and to the point.
Deanie ~ Should I just go ahead and buy SIM now Enabler!
