Today is a rest day - I am saving up for Murphy tomorrow.... unless it was switched to a different day, I am a bit confused after Deanie's post yesterday. :confused: :eek:

**felt crazy strong today when the 155#dl came up nice and easy. :cool: I'm happy to say the 60# press was nice and easy too!

PS- I may run to Dick's and get an Olympic bar/set today :eek::eek::eek: There is a 300# set on sale, and I think I want it....well, I know I want it!!! My set now is my 15# bar, and lots of plates. so for Fridays lift I would have the bar, and 3 25# plates on each side; whereas with the Oly set I would have the bar, a 45# plate on each side, and a 15# plate each side....just less plates.....Mentally, I think it will be easier to lift heavy with less plates on the bar, even if the weight is the same. make sense??:confused::confused:

bbl - I will be cooking up a storm today, so I will be home most of the afternoon!

Deanie - SWEET JOB ON TH DLs!!!!!! :cool: That's awesome! I think you may find your lifts to get even easier with an Oly bar. I started out DLs with a 1" 15lb bar and the thicker Oly bar is a lot easier on your hands. Have fun shopping and cooking! :)

Melissa - I'm still planning to do "Murph" tomorrow. If I wait until Sunday that'll be too much time to talk myself out of it. :eek: I'm still working on the current home reno stuff. I kinda stalled out after getting the cabinets installed, but I'm hoping to get into it a little more this weekend.

Marcy - I think Newport scares me more than "Murph". :eek: Have fun with that (if that's what you do)!

Jane - How's the ankle?

I'm only working a half fay today, then I'm going to visit Gram in the hospital, return a defective ceiling fan, then go home and do a workout.

I ended up bailing last night...no good excuse. :(
 
Good Morning!

I don't even know why I'm working today. There are only 5 people here today. My boss came in to sort of apologize to me about last week and he said really doesn't want me to leave....whatever!! This guy is an abuser and he'll apologize and will do it again and again. Then he'll use whatever you say to him against you later. Unfortunately he really didn't have anything to get me on so his arguments were lame. He also did not talk about the other guy who is a whack job as well who started the whole thing and who stabbed me in the back. The HR person is supposed to come down later this month to talk to all of us separately. I don't trust these people at all so I just spoke little and nodded my head and didn't confirm anything. I'll play the game until I can make my escape. :)

Melissa ~ Why don't you and Gayle do Murph tomorrow. I'm still planning on doing it on Sunday. I'm probably not going to workout tonight because I really want my ankle to heal properly. It's just about there but by Sunday I should be good to go. I feel bad that this was my idea and now I can't even do it on Thanksgiving when I wanted to.

Good Morning!

I did Shred #3 this morning. This one really gets my HR up. Even though it's the same format, it seems like more cardio than strength. Upped my weights from 5 to 8# on the renegade row and leg lift. Then I did STS Ab Circuits - Weights & Plates. I have to agree with everyone else - this is the toughest on this DVD. For the weights part, I used 2# on my ankles and used 2# dbbls. This wasn't overly challenging but I was feeling it when she did the torso twists lifting one leg up, the other and then both legs. The plates part was the real challenge. She did mountain climbers, spiderman climbers (knee coming to elbow) (tough!), bent knee thrusts and pikes (just like in KPC on the ball except with the plates), pike and swing legs 45 degrees to the side (tough!), abductor slides (into split and then into pike) and lastly, single leg abduction slides bringing leg to opposite side of body (3:00 and 9:00) (also tough!).

Jane - Sorry about all your job troubles. It would be nice if you could work it out but from the sound of it, these people sound like they're not going to change. It's just such a hard time to look for work. My DH has been out of work since we moved last May. Hope your ankle is all healed up by this weekend.

Gayle - I hope your gram gets to go home soon! Have a great Murph workout tomorrow! I'm still deciding which workout. Newport still scares me!

Deanie - Great job on the DLs! So did you get the Oly bar?

Marcy ~ The market is not great here either. I'm going to look for a job but will try to make the best of the situation here and won't leave until I get something else. Although my boss told me that he doesn't want me to leave for some reason I don't trust him. Besides that the company is doing very poorly so I'm going to look and put as much money away as I can just in case. My boss even told me that today.

Sorry about your DH not having a job! :( Hope he finds one soon.

I just got done setting up my new bar!!!!! My new bar with the 45#plates on each side now comes up to my mid shin:eek::eek:!! that is weird!! I may have to take a day or two for adjusting. my old bar with the 25#plates only came to a little above my ankle.... now I'm REALLY nervous about sending my form to Dallas!!!:eek::eek:

I didn't see Gram today, they moved to her to a new nursing home for her rehab this afternoon. I did talk to her on the phone and she's in good spirits. I'm planning to go see her in the new digs on Friday.

16 kg KB swings 40on/20off for 20 minutes total

I did 24 swings per round until the last 4 rounds and dropped to 23, for 476 total.
