Melissa:: don't know if you saw my post from last night, I would recommend Diva, but then this morning I was thinking Diva is a metabolic workout, and even though its different than SIM, SIM is also metabolic. So maybe you would want 1200, which has snatches or the ropes at the end of each round, and also since you have SIM, I would recommend resolution (my new fave workout) to completement it!:confused::confused::confused: Now I haven't helped at all .... have I????:eek:

Todays workout was Resolution II! Wow do I love this resolution workout! Is a great strength workout without alot of exercises. Its also done in 30 min (or less) and wow do I feel like I got a full total body workout! I also enjoyed my deadlifts today adding 5# each set, but my last one didn't look so purdy!:confused: So I will stay with these weights next time. Next session doing resolution II, I am supposed to do 6 sets, not sure how, it was tough getting the 5 sets in! anyway, here's my workout:

Resolution II

30 minutes
C&P ladder :
30#kb
pullups:
as prescribed
deadlifts :
adding 5# each round, as per the workout:
5@ 135#
4@ 140#
3@ 145#
2@ 150#
1@ 155#

warm up: tgu 5l/5r : 25#kb


NOTES:
* beginner level: 5 rounds
*great workout, really hard.
*deadlift form not so good on the last deadlift. will use these weights again next time
*5 rounds total : as per the workout
*1 min. break between rounds for the first 2 rounds
*2 min break between rounds 3 and 4

finished with time of 2:27 left

Deanie, you know what? I am just going to end up buying them all anyways so don't feel bad :eek::p I do think that I will start with 1200, though, because I believe you are right about the metabolic v strength aspect. I really like your Resolution w/o from today, too, but I am :eek: at the DL weight!!! Do you do that at home??? When I get back from vacay I will start DLing. I did some DLs on Sunday and it felt like a very natural exercise - probably because it is functional and we actually do things that require some bending every now and then ;) Also, since you are a vegetarian do you drink protein shakes? I have been making my own hemp protein shakes after my workouts, and am eating much less mean than I usually do. I don't do dairy products, and try to go as natural as possible. I was just wondering if your family eats meat and how you are able to do it. Do you have any tips? It was too hard to make 2 seperate meals for them and then myself. :confused: TIA

Today I did Providence. 25# for all exercises but presses, which were 20#. I think it's time to move up to 30#! :) Instead of the snatch test at the end I did 5 minutes of Turkish Getups - I can't believe how high that gets your heart rate! I think it's the best ab workout I have ever done, too. I feel good!!!

Deanie - Great work on Resolution! I like that format.

Melissa - Great job on Providence! I think TGUs are really hard...they take so much mental focus as much as physical. Your vacation spot sounds wonderful!! :)

Today I did Core Rhythms Body Sculpting Collection:

Lower Body Sculpt - 21:21 (wish it was longer; all unweighted)
Latin Cardio Jam - 30:00 - fun
Abs - Thought this was only a 5-min bonus but it turned out to be a 34 min. workout and I only had time to do the first 8 minutes which was lots of oblique work.

Deanie - You're really doing great with the deadlifts!:D

Farmer - Have a nice trip!

Melissa - Thanks! At least it's good to know I haven't lost my strength even after being away from KBs for 3 months. TGUs definitely are a great full body exercise and definitely need a lot of concentration on form.

Anna Maria Island looks beautiful! Hope you have a great vacation!
