Good Morning!!

Gayle::: How was SS last night?

Jane::: Hope you had a fun workout yesterday!

Melissa::: Yea! to food shopping all by your self!!! I actually took my boys with me yesterday, since we went on the way home from music lessons.....an older woman at the store asked me "Are they driving you crazy? or are you used to it?" I didn't think they were being all that wild!!!LOL! (she was actually very nice, and then told me she had one boy and that was enough for her!) Great job with the vest workouts! The 45/45 swings was challenging, but do-able. I may try 15 min next time:eek::confused:

Marcy/Rhonda::: Hope you gals had a fun weekend!

Here's my workout for today:::::

Have a great Tuesday gals!
...since I was off yesterday, I have a feeling I will be thinking its Monday all day today:p
bbl!

Good morning!

Deanie - Great workout! I'm still blown away by the 20kg TGU's...oh, and the 16kg snatches. :D

Waves hello to Marcy, Melissa, Jane and Rhonda!

Today is a rest day. Here are last night's stats:

Buy-in: Lotsa limbering up, short round of dot drills, TGU 5r/5l @ 8kg

Squat: 93# 3x5 - These felt pretty solid for the most part, but I'll probably stay at this weight for one more workout.
Press: 50# 3x5 - Felt better than last week
Power Cleans: 68# 5x3 - Oye...I re-read this chapter over the weekend, and I don't know if I'm psyching myself out over perfecting my form or not, but I struggled with these even though the weight is pretty low...blech.

Have a great day!

Good morning! :]

Deanie, I LOVE having boys - they are SO fun! I honestly think that they are much easier than girls, even though I love my daughter. ;] Boys are just much more straight-forward and to the point, and I love that. And when they tell you about a problem, usually it's because they are looking for a solution - I love that even more! DD has definitely taught me a lot about being a girl though; how to love shoes, wear make-up, shop. I was the biggest tomboy, and I think God knew that I would need her to reach my full "womaninity". :p
Yesterday I needed an alone-time break, it wasn't because the kids were acting up (even though your grocery store lady may have thought so, my boys are active) - I just needed to do something where the only voices I could hear were the ones in my head lol

Gayle, enjoy your rest!!! What are you planning to do instead tonight?

Jane, I was just thinking about your sister - the one who lives out of state and doesn't make time for your parents... have you talked to her recently? I don't know why, but I was thinking about you and her yesterday.

Marcy and Rhonda - HOWDY PEEPS!!! :D

I did 10 minutes of TGU. I wasn't feeling as strong today as I normally am, must have been the wine last night. I didn't even drink that much, but I haven't had any alcohol in over a week so that probably has something to do with it. I then did 2 rounds of 3 pull ups, 3 chin ups, 20 push ups. I did all the chins and pulls with my knees tucked in so I wouldn't be tempted to tap the floor between reps.

Gotta run. The kids have an appointment with their new doctor today. I know she is going to give me grief over not having youngest DS immunizations UTD, but the only 2 vaccinations he has ever gotten left him screaming with a high fever (102+) for a week straight - and that is the only time he has ever acted that way. I don't feel like having this argument with another doctor again. x(

Hi All,

It's warm (in the 70's) and sunny so I'm going on a run tonight after work.

It was great to workout in the backyard last night. It was a very beautiful evening! The workout was great! It wasn't has hard as I thought it would be.

Deanie ~ You rock!! TGUs with 20kb. Oh my!!! Have you ever thought about going for a RKC or HKC? You would do great!!!

Gayle ~ Enjoy your rest day today.

Melissa ~ I hope all goes well with the new doctor today.

It's funny that you mentioned my sister from out of town. She is in town for a couple of days with her husband to visit dad. He isn't doing well. He is totally bedridden now and has been hardly eating. He talks about seeing people in the room (that we can't see), about seeing his parents and he has been calling for his brother who passed away in 2008. She told my mom yesterday that she could not put him in a nursing home either. I haven't really seen her this trip as they got in late Sunday and are leaving tomorrow morning. The last time I talked to her was a couple of weeks ago when she was deciding when to come down - now or when he passes (he does not want a service).

Waving hello to Marcy and Rhonda!!

Hi again :)

((((Jane)))) I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I'm glad your sister came and is spending time with him and your mom. How is the aide working out? I hope it is easing things for your mom. It is warm here too today :) enjoy your run tonight! I do sometimes think about going for an RKC...but I am askeered to go on my own:p, and I really need to go to an RKC and have them check my form (swings and tgu I know I have, but the snatch....??? I think I can improve on form for that) plus I think its a lot of $$$$..... but I do think about it...

Gayle::: nice job with the workout yesterday. Enjoy your rest day! I think power cleans are TOUGH! especially with heavy weight! Maybe dropping your weight and working on form would help???

Melissa::: I KNOW!!!! I LOVE having boys:):):) I also was a BIG tomboy growing up, and my closest friends growing up were boys... I still only wear makeup on big occasions, not daily, can't be bothered:eek: And yes, I love the way boys approach problems and tell it like it is!!... I actually wanted 3 boys, but had my last son when I was 34, and I didn't want anymore kids after that....DH and I wanted time on the other end-->, have time together when the kids were older and we were too, but still young enough to enjoy each other! ;) So having a child at 37- 38 was out for us...plus, no guarantees of a boy either!! Your workout today was good, even with the wine still in your system!!

waves to Marcy and Rhonda!!

Thanks Deanie! The aide (Margie) is working out great. My mom loves her!! She does all the personal care stuff for dad (bathing, shaving, hair washing, etc.). She's great at changing the sheets with a person still in the bed. The rest of us struggle with stuff like that. Poor dad! He has to put up with our poor "nursing" skills.

I would do the HKC first because it's only 1 day and you don't have to do a snatch test, just a bent arm hang for so many seconds. It way cheaper. I know the RKC is really, really hard but I think you can handle it!!!

Gayle::: Me too! I think they are trying to write something on a weekly basis. I would like them to write more on nutrition, but they aren't fond of us vegetarians:p

Jane::: I"m glad the aide is working out :)... thanks for all the encouragement, I think I can handle one day....I may look into the HKC!
