Deanie, HOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!!! on the new PR :D
I am super excited because I just got a 20kg kb and the buddy from AOS with free shipping. I think that I am going to unsubscribe from his letters now because they are getting incredibly annoying, come way too often and aren't what they used to be.

Jane, I am sorry that your mom isn't motivated to do her exercises on her own - that must be frustrating for you! Don't put pressure on yourself and feel like you have to make her do it, she is an adult and makes her own decisions (DH had to learn the hard way with his mom and struggled with being codependent for a while).

Gayle, I hope today is less busy than yesterday!

Marcy, how do you feel like Budokon flows? I previewed them and I have to be honest, I feel a little intimidated by how fast and smoothly he moves - especially since I am not familiar with the workouts and am not graceful anyways. It looks absolutely beautiful to watch!

Rhonda, thanks for starting us off this morning, and yay for LM!!! :) I hope that everything goes as smoothly as possible for you. I am sending many more prayers!

I didn't work out yesterday. I am not working out today. I don't know when I will work out again - but it probably won't be until after Christmas. We have been so incredibly busy, but in a very good, fulfilling, incredible way. We are trying to spend this Christmas focusing on others instead of ourselves, and that takes a lot of energy and can be emotionally draining. There is so much hurt out there :(

But I do have a question for you about kegels. I have become more conscious about the fact that I dribble when I laugh and sneeze, and I am trying to correct it but I can't do a kegel, and when I think I am doing it I am actually doing it wrong!!! Are any of you experts? Email me if you don't want to talk about it on an open forum. :)

Have a great day!!!

Melissa

Hi everyone!

Rhonda - Nice job on Low Max! I envy you early exercisers. ;)

Deanie - Awesome, AWESOME PR!!! :D:D:D aren't PR's da bomb? GREAT cash out, too! Don't sweat that you didn't use 16kg for the whole thing...hitting those higher loads on the deadlift really tax your CNS...any cash out after that is impressive, IMHO, and the one you did was a WOD in itself.

Melissa - I love how you are spending your Christmas. :) I totally understand what you mean about it being physically and emotionally draining. I hope you're still planning to check-in?

Waves hello to Jane and Marcy!

Here's what I did last night:
DL warm up 133x5, 155x5, 165x5

DL work sets 5-5-5-5-5: 170-180-190-180-170

Cash out: K2E 4x5
DB TGU up to an OHS then TGU down 5r/5l @ 20#

Tonight I'm planning to work back squats, then maybe do the "The Chief", if I don't do that WOD, I'm going to work on power cleans.

Have a great day!

The sun is finally out today!!! :):):):):)

Tonight is another night of swinging the bell. I will do some lower body stuff and also some back exercises with mom. Mom does not like to exercise. It's not frustrating because I know this is the way she is so I'm very happy I got her on the floor to do something! Yay!! Dad was a very good counter yesterday!

Deanie ~ CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR PR!!!

Rhonda ~ Great job on getting Low Max out of the way this morning.

Melissa ~ Enjoy your new kbell. I agree that I'm getting way too many emails from AOS.

Waves to Gayle and Marcy!

Good Afternoon!

Got up a little late this morning so wound up doing Slim & Tone Pilates (for the first time). It was okay but not my favorite. Last two-step class tonight.

Rhonda - Good job getting Low Max done!

Deanie - Congratulations on your PR!

Jane - Good job getting your Mom exercising. I've been trying to encourage Mom for years but she just won't do anything. Comes up with more excuses.

Gayle - Great job on your DLs!:)

Melissa - Congratulations on your new toys! I also get way too much e-mail from AOS. I like the Budokon flows. The "real" time does go really fast but you just have to work your way up. I keep up with him pretty well but may have missed a rep here or there. The great thing about his DVDs are that if you're unsure of a move, you just press enter and you get a tutorial for that particular move. When it's done, you press enter again and you're right back at the workout at the same spot you left off. It would be nice if other DVDs were like this instead of having a separate tutorial section which I usually don't bother with. It is really helpful to preview the Budokons before you do them since most of the moves are pretty new to most of us.

It's great you're being so helpful to others during the season. But remember it's okay to take a little time for yourself as well.

Here's a website about kegels. I used to have the same problems as you. Hope it helps:
