Here is my workout from my blog:
It was a good workout till the blister....:mad:

Wanted to work on snatches today.....

warm up:
TGU

Snatches:
15 minutes:
15 seconds work/ 15 seconds rest
30# kb

NOTES:
*ended up only doing 13 minutes - bad blister opened on my left hand ( not sure if holding kb to tight, or the kb is rough and needs to be filed down.):mad::mad: As more chalk got on the bell, the rougher the handle became....?:confused:
*debated going with the 30 or 25, should have gone with the 25.
*pace = 6L/6R
* completed 13 rounds
Maybe if I wasn't holding on so tight, it wouldn't matter.....

Deanie, I am so sorry about your blister! :mad::mad::mad: That really stinks. :( I hope that it heals quickly for you. Maybe you could soak it in some salty water? I am sending you hugs because I know how frustrating it is when anything interferes in my workouts ((((((((HUGS))))))))

Marcy, DH was implying that he used working out to look good to attract me, and if he worked out again it meant he had found another lady whose eye he wanted to catch. :rolleyes: Boys: sometimes you love them, and sometimes you want to throw rocks at them.


Well, my ENTIRE upper body is screaming at me today, and in the best possible way. ;) Pull-ups and push-ups really are the only things you need to shape the upper half up aren't they?
Today is going to be a lower body workout, I just haven't decided what to do yet. I was thinking PLB, but standing work only. I'll let you know when I decide.

I truly, truly took a rest day yesterday. I'm on duty at my parent's this week so I went over early and had a "mom" meal. Yum!

Tonight I'm going for a 40 minute run.

Deanie ~ I'm sorry about your blister. I hope it heals quickly.

Good Morning!

Did Tone It Up today. This one has killer floorwork. Did it with 2# ankle weights. It's only 9 minutes long but it burns!

Lower body: dip, squat, squat + leg lift, front kick + back kick - 5#

Upper body: Step touch + pull-backs, squat + row, alternating reverse fly, reverse fly, upright row, squat + hammer curl - 7# (up from 5#)

Plie squat + chest crossover, plie squat + chest pullup, plie squat + standing chest fly, squat + tricep kickback - 5#

Lunge series - Dip + front raise; lunge + bicep curl; static lunge + side raise; shoulder combo: front-side-rear raise; rotator cuff, squat + W-press, squat - 5#

Chest fly, chest press, tricep press, bridgework + tricep lying overhead ext, bridgework - 8#

Inner thigh floor work - 2# ankle weights

Outer thigh floor work, pushups; other side outer thigh - 2# ankle weights

Abs - did planks instead of weighted crunches; did weighted rollups; skipped reverse crunches

Melissa - LOL about your DH! I also think pushups and pullups do mostly everything for the upper body. No tougher upper body strenghteners. I guess that's why P90X worked pretty well for me. I've never done so many pushups in my life!

Deanie - Sorry about your blister:( Hope it heals soon! WTG on 35# TGUS!:D

Hi again!

Melissa:: Have fun with PLB. I like that one, I used to do it with dumbbells (and a vest) , it went smoother for me. I agree, pushups and pullups are all you really need for working your upper body. Thanks for the HUGS! I'm seriously worried if I can do the C&P I need to tomorrow!

Jane:: Love those mom meals!! Hope you have a nice time with the parents! and enjoy your run today!

Marcy::Workout looks good today. Are you enjoying Slim series? Is it the same workouts each week?

Gayle:: Did you get an outdoor weekend in yet?

Rhonda:: 2 more weeks and you go back to work!!:eek: That made me look at the calender and see when I go back- 3 more weeks for me!:( Low Max is a leg burner, how are you walking today?

Tammy:: What's on the agenda today? I also preordered STS, but as Cathe was posting more about it, I realized it wasn't for me and canceled my preorder. Even now with all the hype, still glad I canceled my preorder

So far there is no road trip location close to me, unless Cathe picks Baltimore or DC. I am smack in the middle of both. 30 min. from Baltimore, about 40 from DC. If she does pick one of those and its for a day I may go. I'm not able to commit to a weekend with a DH who works retail, and I'm not sure I want to do a whole weekend.

Deanie - Bummer about your blister. It's annoying to get messed up by something so seemingly small. :mad: But those things hurt!

I bailed on a workout last night and spent some time weeding the vegetable garden. It was nice to actually feel some sunshine on my skin! I'm bailing on the workout again today and going to see Harry Potter.

Deanie - I'm really enjoying the Slim Series workouts. I like that they work opposing muscle groups and there's no rest. They are the same each week. They don't change like in P90X. I think I can go for the full four weeks and possibly six. From what I keep reading, this is the series many people go back to for guaranteed results. If I can only get better with my eating! I am seeing more definition in my shoulders so far.

Re Tour - Why don't you put in a plug for a DC stop on the tour? It sounds like they're still figuring out where else to go. I'm sure there are many from your area.

Marcy::: Glad you are enjoying the slim series. Definition is always nice! You will have to let us know your results :) I may put in a plug for Baltimore on the OD for the road trip, I think its easier to get there then DC, for me.
