!!!!!!***Kettlebell on the Weekend***!!!!!!

Good morning everyone!!!

I have to be quick this morning - we are heading to our last meet of the season! DD has done great, and this is the final conference WOOHOO!!!

I did Lauren Brooks yesterday. I liked it! Very high cardio factor. I am not sure what I am doing today. I am not really sure when we will be back, but I hope to squeeze something in before our dinner guests come over tonight. DH and I are making a spicy sausage pasta dish - we LOVE to cook for other people. I will probably to a Jersey crossfit workout so that I can eat a lot without thinking too much about it. ;)

I will see everyone later, and I missed you guys!!!

I did resolution II today. What a difference a good nights sleep makes! I had a really good workout!

Resolution II
beginner level
Goal: complete 8 sets in 30 minutes

:30 seconds - 1 minute rest between all sets
completed workout in 29:10 minutes (9 sets)

warm up: 2 minutes swings 20#kb and some c&p with the 20# bell
c&p: 35# (16kg)
pullups: as prescribed
deadlifts: (starting with 70% of 1 rm; adding 5# each round thru round 5 as per the workout)

NOTES:
**REALLY happy with the workout today!!!
** was able to c&p the 16kg for the first 2 ladders of almost every set!!!!!:eek: push pressed the 3rd ladder every set. HUGE improvement over Wednesdays workout!!!
**shooting for 8 sets, had 3:45 left on the timer, so went for the 9th set, seeing how far I could go. was happily surprised to finish the set!!
**thinking of doing resolution again next week I liked it so much!

I did Firepower twice through with the short rest. I love this workout!!

I'm sleeping over at my parent's house so I'm trying to pack and get the house in order.

Hey ladies,
I hate to hijack your check-in but does anyone have any of the downloadable AOS workouts? I would like to get some more workouts (I have the Providence dvd) and the downloads aren't as expensive as the dvds. Do they have both audio and video or are they a different format all together?

Does anyone have one of the mp3 workouts? The Newport mp3 is onsale for $12. I'm wondering if its essentially the same thing as the dvd just downloads straight to the computer or if there are differences.

Sorry for all the questions but figured you ladies might know.

Lisa, I have both Newport and Providence on Mp3 and they are the same as the DVDs, but I really love them because I am not restricted to working out in my living room anymore. I do them in the garage, backyard - wherever I want. :)

The downloadables I have are Diva and Strength in Motion. They are printable paper workouts, and everything is spelled out for you so you get the list of exercises, the amount of time you need to perform them and an instructional video to show you how to do the workouts with variations if needed. I LOVE THEM! You can listen to your own music, it's great. :D If you get the downloads, for most of them it's also a great idea to buy a timer, like the gymboss, for your workouts. You program it and it will "ring" when the round is up so you move on to the next thing, it's great. I bought it from Lauren Brooks's website because it was the cheapest at the time, I think I paid under $20 for it including shipping. HTH!!! :)

Gayle, so what did you think of TGLAPPS? It is very fluffy, but I loved it sooooooooooo much! I did think the ending was a bit neat and quick, but I so loved the story. :) The islanders were wonderful characters.

Deanie, I am glad you slept well! Great w/o y'day... your numbers are really getting up there!

Jane, I am so happy to hear that your parents did well when you were over, and I am sure that your mom really appreciated the nap. :)

Rhonda, thanks for the info on the enzyme. I will have to look into it - though I know that if my body needs any extra help to digest something and can't do it on it's own I should probably just stay away from it altogether. :(

Marcy, what are you up to this weekend?

This morning I am going to do Lauren Brooks's 12 workout 2 times through. I like that she does lots of swings! Also, I love her screen during breaks in the rounds; it gives me something to look at and focus on when I am trying to regain my breath, especially in the last rounds... I wonder if she did that on purpose? :p

Dinner was great last night - I have one friend getting ready to have a baby (due the 8th) and the other one just took her last test to become a physical therapist, so there was lots of celebrating last night! Good times. :)

Hi Everyone,

I had a great night last night with mom and dad. Dad was great. I think we are getting better with handling him. He's such a cutie!! I don't know how else to put it. I took a picture of him and mom on Friday so I'll try to post it when I have time.

Melissa ~ I'm glad you had a good time last night. Celebrations are always fun!!!

Today I did a 5 mile run and then came home and did Gym Styles BSB and parts of Chest and Triceps. I feel great!!!

A review on the AOS website said that the Newport mp3 does not include the abs segment for each round. Is that true?

Hi all. Made it to striking class on Friday. Had class yesterday so didn't workout. About to go workout now before I change my mind. I am typing fast like this is going to make a difference :p.
