NOTES:
*tore my hand today (not bad, but interfered with my snatch) in the 2nd round. For the 3rd round of snatches, used a 20#kb instead of 30# for my left hand to adjust for the open blister its the darn drop and catch- sometimes I worry about dropping and catching a 30#kb as it comes down over my head....need to get over that..... Seems I can do it on my right hand.....
* no bertha swings today (see above note)
Yeah, where is everyone? There were only 3 or 4 posts y'day too. I miss everyone!
Deanie: The first week of school was an adjustment. Today we finally ended review for DS because he got stumped and found something in Math he wasn't too sure of, youngest DS is getting the "at" family down and read a story to me today (here is the story: Cat. Rat. Cat sat. Rat sat. Cat sat, sat sat. Rat sat, sat, sat. Fat, fat cat. Fat, fat rat ), DD is getting killed in cross country - but in the best way of course, and didn't have that much homework but her Math teacher "is the worst teacher in the world, ever!". Besides being tired and getting used to the new schedule it went very well! Do you have any plans before school starts back up? And I also have to ask... are your boys messy? and does their room stink? I almost feel bad asking this, but Layne is starting some changes, and these changes don't smell like flowers if you know what I mean. He could care less about his appearance (which can be a good thing!) or his hygiene (not a good thing!) at all. Has your oldest gone through this, and how do you deal with it? I don't want him to feel self-consious or insecure about it, but it... well, it stinks!
Jane, I am so happy that everything worked out for you! and thank you for your thought for my sister and your kinds words We are pretty darn good friends now, and she is pretty terrific
Marcy, ugh, my DH is the source of all my bad eating habits too! I had everything under control before him... and now I am about 10 pounds heavier than I should be, but he makes being bad so fun that I really don't care that much. He is like that in most aspects of my life though; I like to plan, have order in a controlled environment where everything is in its place and he is carefree and chaos everywhere he goes, so that makes us a pretty balanced pair. Planned lives don't leave much room for flexibility and spontenaity - aka "fun", and he is full of it, and always living in the moment leaves a nice little trail behind you so I am good for keeping him in line. We really have changed each other. Hey, that's a good question - which one are you guys? The careful planner or the carefree funlover?
I am enjoying my break this afternoon. I am trying to come up with a workout schedule that will fit in nicely with the start of this school year. I can work out Sat, Sun and I am going to shoot for at least two other days during the week. I am pretty sure that it will be kettlebells because they are major bang for the buck, but want one day of crossfit. I will slowly add an extra day in as I adapt to waking up really early. I am still sorting out my new sched. in my head, and I will write it down when I figure it out on the blog.
I hope that everyone is having a wonderful afternoon and gearing up for great weekends!!!!!!!!
Sorry I'm late in posting. I was at mom and dad's all day. We all took naps in the morning. Although I am not a nap person for some reason I needed it today. Dad was grumpy in the morning but was better after the nap and pretty much slept the day away. He is sleeping more and eating less and less. This morning he thought I was a boy and called me Jimmy!
I LOVED yesterday's workout. The weather was not bad. It was cloudy and breezy and not too humid. I can't remember how many rounds I did but my shoulders were feeling it at the end.
Today I swam 80 laps. I'm tired!
Deanie ~ Congratulations on completing the final day of month 1 for SIM!!! I'm sending you a big high 5 and lots of congrats for staying with it despite the blister!
Melissa ~ I'm glad you had a nice break this afternoon!!
