Karin (berry99) How's IMAX 3 coming along?

I am seriously thinking about purchasing IMAX 3, but after viewing the clip on the website, I'm terrified I can't get through it. The music sounds awesome though! I saw earlier that you had posted about being scared to do this workout. Have you done it yet? How does it compare with IMAX 2? Can you get through the whole thing?

Hi there! Yes, I have "done" the whole thing (or at least my version of it) but only one time. I have it on tap for next week too. Here's my background just so you can compare yourself to me. I can get through IMAX 2 pretty much as is and really enjoy it. While I like the breaks after the blasts, I do sometimes find they are a little long, but I am not motivated enough to work longer while they are resting ;-) .

IMAX 3 is pretty fun. I think that it is WAY harder than IMAX 2. The first blast is insane (it is the fast feet move that she does in IMAX 2). I had a stopwatch with me during the workout and did pause the DVD player for 30 sec after each blast because I do need some recovery time. Also, after the step section on a 6" step I removed the risers and did the blasts. I think this made it more doable the first time. I think I will try leaving them at 6" the next time and see how it goes. I did make i through the whole workout but it was not pretty at all. I can see how this workout would be really fun after a couple of times through, but right now for me it is brutal (in a good way not in a crazy I can't do it kind of way).

Also, if you would like to incorporate some modifcations there are many here in this link.

HTH (if not I'd be happy to try to answer more questions) and let me know what you decide,

Karin

Karin,

Thanks for responding and your honesty! I like IMAX 2 so much, it sounds like I ought to go ahead and get IMAX 3! I like a challenge, and feel so accomplished when I get through a new workout. (I remember when I did Bootcamp all the way through for the first time!) Thanks for the advice - I feel confident that I can always modify if I need to.
