Karen Voight Yoga?

Hi All! I'd like to have some short beginner-friendly yoga routines around for when I manage to find half-an-hour or so to relax....like right before bed or maybe while the coffee is dripping in the morning. I've done some basic yoga and I especially like how 'posture-aware' it has caused me to be, and I've read that yoga is the best thing KV does so I wanted to get some opinions about what might suit me.

So, do you like the yoga from Streamlined Fitness, Yoga Focus (Yoga Power for the DVD release) or Yoga Sculpt best.....or which sections from those do you like best? I'm not looking to tone or strengthen through yoga (I've got Cathe for that!) but to relax (by the end of the section anyway) and help me be even more posture-aware while challenging my flexibility and balance just a little.

Or any other suggestions I might be interested in? Thanks so much for any help!!

Hi -

I always enjoy Rodney Yee and I like Rainbeau Mars. Recently I discovered Namaste Yoga on FitTV and love it. It is very fluid and relaxing IMO. I plan to order the DVD set. Here's a link:

You can check it out on FitTV and record sessions to try. I'm doing that until I receive the DVDs.

you might like yoga complete for everybody. the practices vary in length, purpose, and fitness level. its really more like a stretching relaxing yoga.you can focus soley on spinal stretches, leg poses, or hit the total body etc. http://www.bodywisdommedia.com sells it but you can find some good deals at amazon.com or half.com.

i also like rainbeau mars b/c its under 40mins. also there is yoga shakti, where you can select segments to make a practice longer or shorter. its a great value. if you want something a little longer then bryan kest is relaxing as well as challenging. more of a power yoga flow to increase the heart rate but still holds alot of poses for a relaxing invgorating stretch. some of his videos run from 40-50mins. but he also has a 20 min beginner video. its pretty much a shorten version of his yoga workouts. i have karen voights yoga sculpt, its pretty good but not comparable to the others i mentioned above. she is not as flowing in style and its not to exciting.

but for my top picks would be yoga complete for everybody, bryan kest, and yoga shakti.

Thanks so much everyone for the advice, now I've definitely got some good ideas on what to try next!

By the way, Sara Ivanhoe is one instructor I have some yoga workouts by already and I really like her!
