Just found out!

Hi ladies!! Well we just found out we are pregnant after a year of trying and 3 rounds of clomid!!! I'm so excited to be pregnant and wanting to do everything to make this the healthies pregnancy i can!

Unfortunately, with the clomid i have gained close to 10lbs!! Does everyone still continue with Cathe's workouts modified or do you do "pregnancy workouts"?

Thanks,
Heather

Congrats Heather!! I am happy for you! I wouldnt worry at this point about those 10 pounds. You will have plenty of time to work it off after. I would just focus on having a happy and healthy pregnancy. Now that i am not pregnant i look back and kinda miss being pregnant..I know that sounds wierd. But, it can be a lot of fun especially when the baby starts moving and you can feel him or her. So relax and enjoy every part of it, it does go by quicker than you think.

I did cathe workouts up until probably a couple weeks before delivery. Obviously not as intense as some. I did the Lower impact stuff. Do what feels right for you, remember dont over do it.

Congratulations!

Ditto here, I'm still doing Cathe. I've lowered my step height to just the board, and do all of the low impact that I can find. I've also fallen back in love with my treadmill.

Congratulations!!!! When are you due? I also recently found out, so maybe we're due around the same time. I'm not very far along--only about 7 weeks--and wish I could do ANY workout right now. We were on vacation last week, so with the exception of some walking early last week (before the nausea kicked in), I really haven't done anything in the last 10 days x( . The nausea and lack of energy is driving me crazy. When I feel better, I do intend to go back to Cathe and just ease up a bit. I do intend to try something tomorrow--even if it's just lifting some light weights while watching Ellen :)

Again, congrats and take care!!

Congratulations Heather and Lisa!

Oh do I sympathize with the lack of energy and nausea. If I don't eat every 2 hours I'm totally faint.

About workouts, I've just been forcing myself to stay with my rotation. This is my third pregnancy with Cathe. I do Cathe modified as needed--lowering step height, taking out jumping, etc. I love all the new low impact vids she's done because not only are they great options in and of themselves, but they also give my lots of modification ideas. I've learned to get really creative so that I can keep working out with her. I also use our treadmill and stationary bike a lot.

For weights, the only modification I really do is to put my bench at an incline for all work on my back. I am able to continue with my regular strength training programs otherwise.

Anyway, just listen to your body and your doctor and I'd say, don't push too hard. Save that for after the baby comes. That weight will come off. I always gain a ton of weight and with hard work and persistance it pretty much comes off after (although as I age, diet becomes more important in that endeavor, but that's another topic altogether)

Again, I'm so happy for you both!

Maggie:)

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Congrats Lisa!! I just found out on Saturday which makes me only 4 weeks today!! My due date is Oct 14th! Boy do i have a long way to go! I dont have any symptoms other than being tired and headaches...i know nausea is just around the corner.

I went home after work last night and did lower impact step. I was so tired before i did it but afterwards i felt great (until 2 hrs later i crashed on the couch!) I think i'm going to make modificiations like Maggie suggested and just stick with Cathe. I really wasn't wanting to go out and by a lot of pregnancy type vids. There is a yoga studio up the road that does prenatal yoga on saturdays for like $5 so i might add that in!
