HI ladies, I hope keeping a public journal will help me reach where I want to be. I have been hoping to lose 5lbs a month. Eventually losing 50 to 60lbs. And maybe giving my body some defintion.

A little bit about myself: I am 35, married, with an 8 year old stepdaughter. I love Cathe videos, and golf one time a week on league. I tape them off of FitTv. I currently do 30-40mins a day 3-6x a week. I have to force myself to do weights, core and stretching. I currently weigh 175 and would like to be at about 125 to 115.

Today I stepped on the scale it was up 3lbs. Very frustrating. I understand my diet need works, but I have been working out dilgently. I am also going to try and keep a tally of my calories on the selfdiet club site. Hopefully that will help.

Today I sat down and went through the rotations. I am working on putting one together for fatloss. Hopefully a guide will give me some results.

Today I did 30mins Rhythmic Step. I may need to step up cardio time longer. Maybe that will help. I don't myself do not know what will help and I am tired of feeling frustrated.

Thank you for your feedback if you read this.

Jenn:) :)

Hi Jenn and welcome!!! Congrats on your commitment to a healthier you!! Can you tell us a little more about what you are doing and I bet some of these rotation queens around here can help you. How long have you been working out? Which videos are you using. What's your eating plan like?

I think keeping a journal is a fantastic idea. Please keep us posted on your progress.

My workouts consist of whatever I tape off of FitTv. Once I get my rotation figured out for myself I will post it and ask for feedback then. I don't own any videos yet. As acquire extra money or bday, and christmas then I will get some.

My eating is well for low on veggies and fruit. Very high on carbs and sugar. I love chocolate and iced coffees from Dunkin Donuts. They are so right when they say America runs on Dunkin. :D
I also love takeout because I hate to clean up after dinner. But I am working on it.

Jenn

Sounds like you've got a plan. Just make small changes in your eating as you go. It's a little easier to adjust to. I remember you mentioned you have to really push to do wts. I really recommend getting some wt lifting in with that cardio. You'd be suprised what a difference it makes in your body!!

Hi Jenn,

Here's to your success. If I might suggest a couple of books, I think your diet might be a little easier. They are: EAT FAT, LOSE FAT by Sally Fallon and Mary Enig and EAT FAT, LOOK THIN by Bruce Fife, ND. On both these diets, you'll lose weight, but you won't be starving yourself, plus you'll get some good info on nutrition and why it's so important. Darlin' (I'm from the LA area, and that endearment comes natural, I'm afraid) -- anyway, darlin', as long as you eat nutrient deficient foods, you'll struggle with your weight. Exercise will help, yes. But if you want to get the weight off and keep it off, nutrient deficient food is not the way to go. Because it lacks nutrition, your body must eat more in the hopes of getting the vitamins and minerals it needs to operate.

Eating nutrient dense foods, however, can reverse this process and make losing weight fairly easy.

But if you get the books and read them, you'll understand more than I can tell you here.

Wishing you success!:7
