Good morning ladies!!!

Today's schedule tells me I need to do an interval run..Not sure I will do that. I may do a DVD instead.

The kids and I have invited friends over to go swimming. SO, that is what we have planned for this afternoon...

Be back later..

Hey Kathy!... you'll have to let us know what DVD you choose.. How do your legs feel after Plyo yesterday?

Joanne: Seen your late night post!...You'll have to let us know what YOU think of "Racing...". I think if you have a dog or even just like dogs, you'll love this book. Hope Caitlyn stays "ok". Yep, we pack a HUGE pharmacy with us when we go on vacation. Usually, it's when we forget something that we need it, so as long as we have the entire medicine cabinet with us, we're good!

My plan today is a little cardio at home (have to check out some of Cathe's short premixes), and then, since Greg is home today, I'm going to run at the park! haven't done that in forever and a day!

Other plans are to get to Walmart and pick up scrips, and hopefully can find some flowers to plant in my back yard (the weather and vacation has stopped me from doing that so far). We're having a little BBQ on Friday for my family. My sister and her family are going to be in town for the weekend (at my mom's), so it should be fun!

Good morning, happy Wednesday! Cathe's new page layout is interesting, eh? Seems a bit busy at first, but I'll get used to it.

Joanne, how is Caitlyn today? Better, I hope!

Kathy, I can see not wanting to do an interval run the day after plyo legs! Yowsa!

Remember me? I'm the one who said I'd never again buy another kbell dvd? Well, I bought Amy Bento's kettlebell dynamics and did that this morning -- I liked it a lot! There were a few things I skipped because they seemed dangerous for me, or I just plain couldn't do them. Nice workout! That was one of my purchases at totalfitness.

Chris, I hope you have a fun run today -- I can tell your psyched for that -- hope it's a beautiful day. Sounds like you'll have a fun weekend, too!

I watched some of the MJ stuff on youtube last night -- it is pretty sad -- no matter how freakish he got, he really was incredibly talented, and it's very sad for young kids to have to grow up with essentially no parents (the mom seems to not be in the picture, correct?). I got caught up in that and didn't read as much of Racing as I wanted to -- Larry turned out the light early because he's out of books at the moment! :)

I have cleaning on tap, then the babysitter is coming in the afternoon -- I'll go to work and then Larry and I have a date planned -- a rare event! Should be fun.

Have a good one!!

-Beth

Hey again!

I did the all step premix from SJP and then the abs. God, that's fun! I'm drinking a little fruit smoothie and then going to head to the park for Part Deux. ... my run! It is sunny and 70 out right now! 70, in July! freakin nuts!

Beth: Yeah, the new header is a bit weird, but I guess we'll get used to it!... and was there always so much space on the sides of this page? ... Cool on the new KB workout! new workouts keep ya going, I tell ya!..no harm in that I say!... Oh yes, MJ. I had no idea people I KNOW had such different opinions about him. Some so adamantly hate him and consider him a child molester. Personally, I think he had some major issues.. he had such a freakish life in so many ways. But IMO , and by the confession of the boy that accused him that he made it up, I don't think he hurt kids. He was so childlike himself. But anyways, yes, the Memorial service was very nicely (and so sad) done. The only thing I disagreed with was bringing his kids onstage. He lived his life keeping his kids out of the public eye and media. I think he probably wouldn't have liked that his daughter's speech is EVERYWHERE. But so sad, no?

Okay, off my soapbox!

finishing up my last sip, and then off i go!

HI ladies..

Checking in with the hi/lo section of Maximum Intensity Cardio and ab circuit pilates abs..Great workout.

Chris: My legs were ok today. But, I had to really push them in the hi/lo section..Enjoy your run! It is really nice here..The computer says it is 75 degrees and there is a nice breeze outside. I may read outside later..

Beth: I haven't watched much of the Michael Jackson stuff. Hubby was watching yesterday and said it was really sad when the kids were talking...I am interested in that Amy workout as soon as I get into kettlebells..OH and I like Cathe's new page layout stuff!!

Ok, friends will be here soon for swimming. Talk to you later..

Hi guys! I'm checking in with another attempt at the first half of Imax3 (though I may have just been "recovering" in the last set of a blast or two) AND tacking on the step blast challenge. Have you guys ever done that? It's pretty cool add on for cardio.

Kathy - have gun with the swimming! I like the new webpage too though I agree with Beth it may be too much information. I'm a big fan of thematic consistency in web pages though I hate scrolling. Always against scrolling.

Chris -- The All Step thing from SJP is a ton of fun. I actually really like that DVD a lot because I feel that's Cathe's energy really comes out as FUN FUN FUN throughout each workout. (Whereas say with IM3, I think even *I* hear her going, dang, this is hard.) You know MJ is so hard to read...I was telling Joe that I have absolutely no guy feeling on whether he did what he was accused -- I can't lean one way or another. But I have to say he is the greatest performer of my time. His contributions to music and dance are just phenomenal and when I was watching part of the service, it was like, whoa, he was just on a totally different level then ever the latest stars.

Beth -- oooh, a date! How nice to look forward to that. I've been craving our fav restaurant for the last couple days actually so we can chill but too busy too busy. I've been trying to carve out time for just "us" to make sure we don't forget each other though! The Art of Racing in the Rain is a pretty easy book to read. I finished it in a day for the most part (lots of waiting for experiments) and Joe I think took three days. So, you like Amy Bento's KB workout? Are you down that her new series is delayed due to her bun in the oven? or are you just looking forward to STS Shock Cardio? :)

How am I hungry already?!?!?!

Hi ladies. Well, I think I made up for yesterday's lack of workouts! This morning I did Muscle Endurance. Wow! I forgot how good that workout is. Before my DVD collection exploded, I used to do that one all the time. I was determined to get in a run during lunch so I did itread 14- 60 minutes. Went 5.5 mile! :) :) Now my legs are aching. Ouch!

Hottie, I have done the Step Blast Challenge. But only as part of Step Blast when I'm about to die. Never on its own. That's a good idea for an add-on. I kind of have the same feelings about MJ that you do. Don't know if he was guilty or not. If so, it's unforgivable, if not, it's horrible that he had to go through being accused of something like that.

Kathy, have fun swimming. So you voluntarily did MIC hi/lo? ;) That one is a killer.

Chris, how was your run. I know, the weather is weird here. We're about 70 degrees too. We've only been able to use the pool maybe 7-8 times this summer. Why is it so cold if global warming is a concern??

Beth, I'm sure Amy put a fun spin on the kettlebell workout. Yep, she has a bun in the oven. I was looking forward to the new workouts she had planned, but that's OK - I'll save some money! Caitlyn is doing fine - still stuffy, but nothing else. Very cool - a date!! Have fun!

Have a great evening all!

Joanne

You know, SJP is one of my least favorites of Cathe's! Hmmmm..... maybe one of these days I'll have to look at it again. ME, on the other hand, I keep thinking I need to do -- maybe next week. Joanne, quite a workout -- high fives!

Yes, I heard about Amy and the bun. I'm not bummed about the delay because for the most part I have learned not to buy her stuff -- I just can't do her choreography to save my lift and so her dvds have mostly been a waste for me. Sad, but true.

Hottie, what should Kathy do with the gun while she's swimming?! ;) Nice typo.

-Beth

Hey Gals!

I'm a little afraid, because my butt and hamstrings are already talking to me after my run today! It's been a long long time since I ran last, ya know? I loved it though! It was all I thought it would be and more. The weather was PERFECT , sunny, 70's, so many beautiful big fluffy white clouds against the blue blue sky... And it smelled like ROSES. The rose garden is in full bloom! Maybe I can motivate myself to get out EARLY as soon as Greg comes home from work to run a few times a week!??!

Kathy: I'm with Joanne, you VOLUNTARILY picked MIC, Hi/Lo???

Hottie: I love reading how you conquer workouts! You're very unique in your methods!... I can't believe you added on Step blast challenge!...Yes, you're right, Cathe does seem like she's having fun with SJP (the step portion I definitely noticed that!). It's weird about MJ, I kind of chalked him up to being guilty before he died (or at least very very strange and I didn't care to learn more). But then I watched some interviews and saw more about him, and definitely decided he was just majorly messed up in the head. He was SOOO childlike. Did you know Debbie Rowe GAVE him 2 children because he used to carry a baby doll around the house he wanted one so bad? (he said this in an interview). And then Brooke Shields talking about how they were "kidlike" together ... And of course, the years of abuse by his father and the way he grew up in the media. Sad, all of it, really.

Joanne: Yay for your workouts today!!!!! I like doing 2 workouts in a day sometimes, it really seems to shake things up for me (and the scale!).

Beth: You don't like Step from SJP??? try it, I bet you'll change your mind! esp the songs..FUN stuff!... LOL @ Kathy with a gun!... I missed that you guys were going on a date tonight! Good for you!!! Now I wanna go! I need to call Michelle!!!!

Ugh, its so embarrassing with all my typos today. My notebook was acting funny actually -- you know when you type but your wrist hits the touchpad and so it starts typing someplace else! At least if I all amuse you I guess its ok though :).

Go You Joanne! You may inspire me to do a second workout but maybe something where I'm laying down because my feet are killing me today...does sleeping in bed count as yoga/meditation? :)

Beth -- Amy bento frustates me too a bit. I'm a bit too stubborn I think which is why I will return to her on the netflix soon but I very much prefer KCM or Mindy Mylrea to her. Joe also feels the same way (I don't know if that helps!). And how can you not like doing a power kick in the middle of Kung Fu Fighting!??! I almost died laughing the first time I tried to do that. Actually, I was giggling when I was doing the challenge today when Paint it black came on...I never thought I'd ever do step to that song! :)

Chris -- Joe is taking Evee on her walk/run right now because the weather is so lovely. I think when Joe sees wonderful weather he talks about how he's going to run so much and then when it hits to sucky heat, it all "dries" up. :)

Hmm...chores chores chores...
