Good morning ladies...

Today is a scheduled rest day on the rotation and I am going to do just that. My body is a little tired and a little sore. So, I am listening and letting it take a break...

Planning to go to Costco today while Lauren is at camp and then we will hit the library after I pick her up...

Ok, time for breakfast...Talk to you later.

Quick check in for now...

Going to the park for a run before the thunderstorms start, and at some point I'm going to do 1/2 of IMAX2 and abs at home!...

BBL!!

Hey Kathy - I may join you on that Costco trip later today. I'm staying home today (it was planned before everything sucked yesterday) to catch up on house stuff. I desperately need an endorphin rush and my arms shoulders have finally stopped being sore from Monday so its cardio and weights, just don't know how yet. BBL...

Mornin'!! Kathy, isn't it good when you really know what your body needs? Enjoy the rest!!

Chris, more thunderstorms, eh? Hope you got that run in!

Hottie, I hope you enjoy whatever workout you decide to do!

Ok, so why is it I always have a crappy night of sleep before plyo legs?! My upper body, shoulders mostly, are really sore, so I figured it'd be a good day for plyo legs. Well, I decided instead what I'd do is the plyo part of plyo legs for a cardio effect, and then I did Tracy's Squeeze Lower Body Challenge (for the first time). It's a half hour and a combo of traditional leg work and bar type. Boy, my legs are fried!! It's amazing how differently she works the legs than Cathe and wow, I really feel it!

Despite the lack of sleep I'm feeling pretty good. Glad I have the workout done. We have a stay at home day, so I'm going to try to get these kids doing something a little intellectual for a while, and then maybe play some games with them. Tonight our chef friends are coming, making dinner for us (whooo-hooo!) as a farewell dinner to one of them who got a job in L.A. Hottie, I'll let you know what restaurant it is (if it sounds any good -- I can't imagine him making this big a move for a mediocre job, but then again, people have to work!!).

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Hi Vilma, if you're reading this!!

-Beth

Hey again!!

I made it! I ran at the park, tried to make it more of an interval run, I did the hill and the duck pond stairs, and ran for 50 minutes .... so I'm not going to add on IMAX2. It JUST started raining when I was finishing up, which felt kind of good, since it's pretty humid out and i was sweating like crazy. I came home & did Abs Circuit: Pilates.

Kathy: You're good to know you need a rest day and not feel bad about it. I always get that "should I/shouldn't I" debate going on in my head. .. Costco and the library... 2 of my favorite places!!!! Have fun!

Hottie: I hope your day is better today, sounds like yesterday was crap! I bet some good endorphins will help today out. Nice you have this day at home after yesterday too!!!

Beth: Yeah, yesterday was GORGEOUS here, and today, cloudy and thunderstorms. It is very humid, but at least it isn't COLD out. I'm done with cold and having to wear a sweatshirt in the summer!!. ... You did some MAJOR lower body work today!! How do you do just the plyo work? What do you do during the weight work? Is it a long gap/wait? I think I'd like to do that some time... Your day sounds laid back... The dinner sounds nice!! I'm jealous , wish someone would cook nice for me some day!

Okay... off to be a bum. .

. Greg is home today, and I'm just puttering doing laundry, etc. He's making a Walmart run (instead of me, yay!) with Jake, and I'm hanging at home. Maybe I'll get a movie for us...

Chris, sounds like you had a good run! Especially at the end when it started raining -- were you racing? har, har....

I just pushed my skip buttong at the end of each plyo -- no wait to speak of, really -- but it allowed me to get water leisurely, too. If you ever want a short cardio, it's a good way to go. Your finger gets a workout, too. :p

Chris: I always have that debate going. I feel so guilty resting. But, I know I need it too. I am trying not to eat too badly today...I am doing some laundry too. Waiting for the dryer to finish to fold another basket full!!

Beth: It is great to rest when you need it. My body is so thankful today. We were still running around crazy with getting Lauren to camp and the library and Costco!!

Hottie: How was your Costco run? I spent too much as usual!!HAHA

Hey guys!

It's turned quite muggy and hot here, cloudy w/ thunderstorms imminent. Suddenly, it's July! The boys even got in the pool today !! (not me, it was too close to dinner).

Beth: I didn't think of "Racing" when it started raining! LOL!. I should have! Thanks for the pointer on the Plyo. How long did it last with the Fast Forwards? I might try to work that one in next week! Sounds fun!

Kathy: Busy-ness certainly keeps your mind off of taking a "rest" day, though! sounds like you are busy!

hottie: what did you do for cardio? hope you're having a better day!!

Vilma & Joanne: Miss YA!!!!

Chris, I looked at the time, and now I think it was about 25 minutes, but I may be slightly off. Try it! Especially the way you've been mixing with a run......
