HI ladies..

Hope everyone had a great weekend...We had a nice relaxing day yesterday...Hubby and I watched a movie (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). It was really good...

Ok, yesterday I got ME done and I am sore today. A good movable sore. Not the kind of sore where you can't function. Today is a bike ride on the schedule I think. I gotta go over to that thread and look..I may sub or take the kids on a ride..

Anyway, Talk to you later..

Good morning, amigas! Kathy, thumbs up on the ME soreness! That's a good feeling. I have a feeling I'll have it tomorrow -- as some may have seen, I could not find my pyramids dvd !, so I ended up doing that 4DS total body premix -- 97 minutes! It took me an hour and 44 minutes -- I did a little bit of a warm up and took some breaks for nose blowing, water refreshing. :) It was fun to lift heavy again! Well, sort of. At times I thought to myself "I'm never gonna' do meso 3 again!" I just about matched Cathe's weights, which is new for me -- I never tried before, because I just figured I couldn't. I think some of it was mental, but I do think I'm stronger. I like the idea of one heavy day a week, but lighter weights the rest of the week. I'm definitely going to try to do some total body STS work somehow.

I'm certain I must have loaned pyramids to my friend who does Cathe a little bit, but doesn't have nearly the selection I have, and she must have forgotten to bring it last time I saw her (she lives in SF, so we don't see each other all that often). I sure hope she has it, because if not, I guess I'll have to fork out for another copy. Or something.

I have a babysitter coming today so I can get to work for a decent day of work. Haven't done that in a while!

I'll have to put Benjamin Buttons in my queue -- didn't realize it was on dvd already. Vilma, I see you've been reading some great books. I just started The Daily Coyote. In a nutshell.... woman from NYC moves to SF and then rides her vespa all the way back to NYC. Falls in love with Wyoming when she passes through. After one or two months back in NYC, she relocates to Wyoming. She ends up raising an abandoned coyote pup. She had a blog thedailycoyote.com, but I don't even know if it's still there -- we used to follow it, and I saw the book in a store before father's day, so gave it to Larry. He says it's light, but good.

Have a great day!

-Beth

Beth: Great workout for you!! Hope you are able to locate your pyramids! I don't usually loan out my Cathe's . Never know what one I will pop in...All the others I don't mind loaning...

Ok, I decided to get on the elliptical this morning. So, I did 60 minutes on that. The kids really wanted to go to the pool. So, we are going to the pool instead of bike riding today. Maybe another day!! Tomorrow I am picking one of the plyo legs workouts from STS..I guess I will just go with the first DVD of plyos...

Hey Girls!!!

How are you guys doing today?

It's recovery from the weekend for me, for more than one reason. Work and lack of sleep, mostly. Oh, and eating, of course . Sunday night at work was pretty busy, but steady busy, nothing crazy. And a few things that make me believe no one could EVER pay me enough for what I do. (don't ask!).

Greg and I tag teamed today, since we both worked last night, and the boys are home, so I slept for 4 hours when I got home, and Greg stayed up. Now he's sleeping> He has to go back to work tonight though. Sucks.

I talked myself into Turbo Jam Cardio Party 3 today! It was fun, and I did it with weighted gloves. But I noticed my HR was WAY up there. Mondays it really doesn't take much. I then did Abs from Butts and Guts. that's a good one, huh?

Kathy: I had that soreness last week from Supersets too. Not horrible, but you know it's there. I heard that movie was VERY good too, on my list to see! A day at the pool sounds nice!

Beth:  on that long 4DS Total Body! But now you made me want to try it too. the only thing that scares me is doing it THAT long with the boys home. I bet you'll feel it tomorrow! Crap on not finding the Pyramids!! That would piss me off too! .. Hope you track them down! .. hey, that book sounds good about the coyotes. I'm still reading "The Killer Angels" about the Civil War. I read it on and off, plus I read magazines, so it goes slow. Unless I get a book from the library and am FORCED to read it fast, I won't.

ahhhh... I'm drinking a nice cold berry/protein smoothie, it feels and tastes sooo good!!

quiet group today! Joe and I are taking the day off due to us not taking a break all throughout the long weekend (we anticipated this in advance). It's been a good morning. We slept until 7, Evee got her run, I got a nice breakfast in and cleaned up the house so we don't look like we can't clean up after ourselves painting. A dog trainer came in for a free lesson and we learned some tricks but I don't think we're going to pay for many sessions yet. I'm taking a trip to Costco and Home Depot in a little bit and then its to my workout! Any suggestions for my cardio? I'm going to start my push month. I have no clue how to get my cardio burn on though! NOTHING is screaming to me at all.

Kathy -- have fun at the pool! When its warm, its a lot nicer at the pool to me than a bike ride so good choice. I haven't done an elliptical run at home in a while... I feel like that machine is hibernating!

Beth -- Joe loves that premix! Are you thankful for that babysitter today? My sister is having a really hard time finding good reliable ones and she sitll hasn't found one she liked yet. I think it would make her life easier sometimes because the children's author circuit requires a fair bit of time away in certain blocks. At what age do you think you can leave them by themselves?

Off to shop!

for you, Hottie!!

Hmmmm..cardio, How about a good quick 4DS Bootcamp? That is always a fun , sweaty one! or maybe do JUST the blasts from IMAX2. I did that once, and actually really enjoyed it!...

have fun at Costco/Home depot!!!

Hi girls! Missed ya all!!

4th was rainy and cold here. We went to my SILs later in the day for BBQ ribs. Mmmmmm...delish! I did workout over the weekend - I know I did Drill Max and some other cardio - can't remember! Today was Mindy's Interval Express. Have you tried that one, Chris? It's on the Action Packed DVD. Great cardio workout! She uses the med ball, but only for a few of the circuits.

Hottie, you could get elliptical out of hibernation for your cardio! ;) Or maybe a premix on a Cathe DVD that you haven't tried yet.

Beth, wow, what a workout!! I'd be annoyed about the Pyramid DVD, too.

Chris, you are worth every penny they pay you and more!

Kathy, enjoy the pool! My kids were really enthusiastic when we first joined, but now they're not so excited to go.

All the boys are sick now. Coughs and colds. Jameson is doing fine, but needs to keep doing the breathing treatments. So far Caitlyn is fine. I guess it's better this week than next when we are on vacation.

I'm not feeling too chatty today...sorry! Just wanted to drop in and say "hi". I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything I have to do to get ready for vacation and some work stuff I have to finish before I go.

Joanne

Hi All,

Kathy, I only loaned out pyramids because I was in the middle of STS and figured I'd get it back before -- we both forgot about it. Oh well! I'm relieved to know she does in fact have it, and I'll get it in a couple of weeks when I see her. The plus side is that it got me to do that 97 minute premix I probably otherwise would have avoided! ;) Oh, and Chris, funny, I did think about you while I was doing it and realizing I still had so much left (though in some ways it went fast) and wondered if you would ever dare do one that is so long.

Hottie, what did you decide to do for a workout?

It was a strange feeling getting in my car alone today -- I don't think I've been gone without the kids in a while. Nice to get a little caught up at work. I'm a little nervous about the babysitter mostly because it's the first time. She looked a bit like a deer in the headlights when I said I didn't want them sitting in front of the tv or computers.

Chris, sorry to hear you had unmentionables happen at work!!!

Joanne, bummer about the kids being sick! I keep hearing about people being sick -- flu -- don't know if it's swine, colds, other things. Hope they are better quickly!!

Ok, back to it for me.

-Beth

Hey guys...

Had to do kitchen clean up today, ... hate that! I'm so spoiled!

Joanne: Glad you had a nice 4th even though the weather wasn't great. The weather here is still bizarro. Now we have cool, 70's, sunny, like September weather! ... You got in some good workouts! Oh! I was wondering about that Mindy workout with the med ball! I watched a tiny of it, but thought it was more circuit, but you think it's primarily cardio? I love that med ball  Sorry your boys are sick!! Hope you get the same luck we had with Zach, all better and ready to go for vacation!... Ohhhhh..it's just work has me doing and seeing some pretty nasty things, I can't believe I'm doing them. Here's an example (NOT for the queasy)..Did I ever tell you how I had to get a sample of poop for a lab test? The patient pooped in a container in the toilet. I had to scoop a bit of it and put it in a specimen cup. We didn't have any plastic spoons, so there I was with a plastic KNIFE, cutting the *h*t!!:eek: That's what I'm talking about! What happened this weekend was beyond that!

Beth: Yeah, 90+ minutes of 4DS weights.. SOOOO tempting!... Maybe if DH is home and has charge of the kids! ... Oh my sitters always look like deer in headlights after they've spent the day with my boys! LOL!!!!

Almost time for my Monday night TV. I watch "the bachelorette" (i know, i know, very cheesy) and I ADORE "The Closer" with Kyra Sedgewick.. I LOVER her and her character!!...

TTFN!

Chris, the deer in the headlights look was within the first five minutes of her arrival! The kids spent way more time on screens than I would have preferred -- oh well. She drove them all the way into town to the park, which I thought was crazy (30 min. drive each way), but they all seemed to enjoy it and I guess it got them out. It's no wonder I don't get much done when I'm here with them all day I guess.

Strange weather is right! Do you think you'll ever put up your pool? I loved reading about your kids playing in the sprinklers -- that was always great fun as a kid!

Joanne, when is your vacation going to start?

-Beth

Hi ladies. Don't know if anyone is still around!

Chris, oh my, I can see how that would be an unpleasant task! I can't imagine what is beyond what you described. You don't have to explain! ;) Yes, that Mindy workout is definitely cardio. It's a great HIIT workout. Very little strength. Maybe two or three med ball segments that keep your heartrate up and work the legs. No real arm work. It's described as a cardio and strength workout, but it's not. I really liked it, though. Don't feel bad - I'll being watching the Bachelorette on my DVR as soon as the kids go to bed and DH leaves for work. What is she thinking keeping that weasel (Wes) around??

Beth, our vacation starts Saturday. I had to laugh about your babysitter's look of fear! I guess it was a bit overwhelming. My kids spend too much time on screens, too. Maybe she should bring some skates and play hockey with them!

Off to get my family to bed so I can chill! And, probably fall asleep within ten minutes!
