Good morning ladies..

On the rotation today it says bike ride or cycling. Well, it looks like rain. So, I am going to hop on the elliptical instead today. My legs are feeling PUB from yesterday..

If the rain holds off, we are having friends over to swim..

Be back later..

Good morning and happy Monday -- well, for Chris at least. :D Kathy, I hope that rain holds off for you!!

Chris, I almost did BFBM with you today -- was going to do maybe a shortened version plus a barre workout, but when I got out of bed I just felt a little beat up, so I did an hour of barre stuff instead -- feeling pretty good now. The barre workouts I have are not all that hard, so in some ways it doesn't feel like much of a workout. I got caught up in the physique 57 hype on vf, and I'm excited about getting those because they are billed to be more like a live class, which means stepped up a big notch. Can't wait to work that in.

Travis is going to 2D programming camp all week -- from 9:00-4:00 -- long days -- so I have babysitters lined up for Dylan and hope to get more time at work. Wednesday I am going to SF for my annual dermatologist appt. and lunch with my friend. That'll be fun (well, not the skin check, but the lunch! :)). Theoretically next week we are going on our road trip, so we need to get that organized if it's really going to happen......

have a great day!

Checking in before I jump into my workout...

Today is busy, Greg had to work too last night, so we tag teamed taking care of the boys. He stayed up until 12:30, and then I got up so he could go to bed.

Good news: Summer is finally here!!! It's hot, humid, a light breeze.
Bad news: Our AC is busted and they can't get out here until Friday!! Fack!

I'm a little leary about what my workouts will be this week, since we have no AC, I'm going to sweat my arse off...

Kathy: Must have been a typo: your butt is sore from PUB yesterday? LOL!! I know what you meant!

Beth: Well, I'm changing things up for me too for today. I'm in the mood for RS for cardio, so I will go as long as I can go before I slide off the step from dripping too much! LOL!

After my workout, I have to shower, and then get Jake to his swim lesson. I put some Pork Tenderloin Chili in the crockpot, and will do something quick for the boys for supper (they don't do chili), when i get back, and then dishes are mine tonight. Ugh. And of course there's the laundry that my DH started, but he does it differently than me and it's to the point of annoying! He folds up the laundry and puts them in piles all over the living room floor. Gotta fix that!

My fatigue/lethargy DID lift and I felt REALLY good at work last night. Another thing I did , instead of stopping at Dunkin Donuts for a coffee w/espresso (they charge an arm and a leg for it, plus the kids making the stuff always screw up), i got me a can of Red Bull. Oh my! that really made me feel ALERT and AWAKE! I wished I had that Saturday nght!

okay...better get moving

to Vilma and Joanne!!!.. Hey did you guys see Ivy on the success story winner??? Coool!!!!

Hey Chris! Sorry about no a/c! Wow! Good luck with your workouts until it's fixed -- I guess it just doesn't cool down at night there, does it?

So funny about Kathy's "typo"! You are too funny.

I have never tried Red Bull -- I think I will avoid that one! And, I did not see Ivy and the success story -- didn't notice it -- but now I see it and will check it out! Cool!

Hi guys...I can't believe I was almost happy for Monday to start. I guess I knew what Chris felt like? I just couldn't get out of a bad rut over the weekend, just overwhelmed with house projects before my mother comes. It's weird -- its not that they're hard its more that we don't *really* know what we're doing so things take longer. But every sprinkler is fixed and working now and we fixed the other plumbing issue (though possibly created another), and figured out that one stenciling job couldn't work but the other one could at least in the back room -- but Joe had a different vision than I did and we got frustrated and so I left and then Joe realized that I was right and he was misguided so we sort of have to change the whole project but that's ok. Last night I watched the movie Mame which was a nice nostalgia thing because I remember watching it as a child and I dunno -- it just made me go to bed sort of happy and ready to take on the day. We only got 5 hrs of sleep but I tried IM3. I got really upset because my DVD player screws up on step combo 3 and trying to fix it dropped my HR big time and it never really got up there again. I was tired so I wasn't pushing it as hard -- I was doing the motions and was telling myself how, "wow, its really what I put into it." But its still good -- mentally being able to take on the step moves even if I had to stop in some parts of the blasts is still an accomplishment -- it's how I did IM2 it's how I'll do IM3. I did do Ab Burner afterwards and I would like to do some lifting later in the day. I brought my gym bag to work but we'll see how the day goes. Lots of "little" things but they surely do add up. (like right now wasting half an hour with a sales rep re: a several thousand dollar instrument that has become my job to shop for!)

Kathy -- I think I may do elliptical later before my weight work to warm everything up -- just something light though.

Beth -- is it that the workouts aren't intense enough cardio wise? Or you're not feeling the resistance aspect of it either? You're just too buff! Ahh...programming camp. Embarassed to say I remember them. What language is he learning?

Chris -- NO AC?!?!?!? I live in Pasadena now and that is sooooo not an option. I wouldn't consider houses without central AC and how old they were was SUCH a big deal to me. I can't work out if its too warm either. Sometimes I wish I liked coffee...but I just try to find this drinks loaded with caffeine in them. I'm not doing much now considering that I'm just drinking tea with some soy milk in it....

So much to do!!!

I somehow made it through all of RS. Holy CRAP, was I sweating! This is going to be a tough week. You just can't help enjoy the heck out of RS, though!

Kathy: you've been getting good use of that elliptical! I bet your legs felt that today!...PLB will get ya every time.

Hottie: Don't even worry about your off eating, you'll get it back. I go through stretches sometimes, and I always come back. Sometimes ya just 'gotta'. You're making me want to do IM3 again! Maybe I'll do 1/2 of it this week. God, I'm just so not thinking I can tolerate a lot with no AC and it's supposed to get up near 90. But I grew up without AC and survived. I'm so spoiled, i swear. Are you projects all done now for prepping for your mom's visit? Glad Joe saw the light this weekend! At least he admitted to it, right?

Beth: It doesn't really cool down at night when we get into the muggy/hot summer stretches. it's just sooooo thick and heavy out. all night too. WTG on the Barre workout today! Sounds like a good one!! I will definitely do Jill's BFBM this week, perhaps Wednesday... I'm really feeling the need to get to heavy weights though. I feel like I lost my STS arms already!!..... Red Bull is probably the lesser of the energy drink evils. It only has the amount of caffeine that an 8 oz coffee does, and a bunch of Vit B. And I wouldn't drink it more than once or twice a week for work either.

Vilma: Sorry you're missing your mom :( ... I know I always get that empty feeling when my family leaves. Hope you also escape that PMS headache!!

gotta run, the season finale of the Bachelorette is on, :)o), ..gotta watch!!!
